This research aims to improve the application of Drill method in enhancing the writing ability of Ulu Script student of Bahasa Indonesia language and literature Education Program STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method with the research type of pseudo experiments (quasi experiment). The population in this study is all students of the third semester of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study Program A and B class of 53 with the sampling is class B that amounted to 26 people. Data collection using an essai-shaped test. The data analysis technique uses t-test. From the results of the study obtained the average value of students after using the Drill method (84.92) is greater than before using the Drill (59.85) method and increased by 25,07. The hypothesis test results showed that at a rate of significance 5% value thit > ttab, 11,61 > 2.78 and 11.61 > 2.06. Conclusion, this means that the application of Drill method can significantly improve the writing ability of the students of Ulu Script Keywords: Drill Methode, Writing, Ulu Script

Abstract: This study is the development of teaching materials based on language character education to improve the politeness of speech acts in students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Development of integrated language teaching material in pragmatic subjects. In general, this study aims to develop teaching materials related to character education speaking in the Malay speech politeness in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program IKIP PGRI Pontianak students. The results obtained in this study that teaching materials used by researchers are feasible to use with a percentage of 78.94% and the results of the hypothesis there are differences between the results of students' speech politeness before and after applying teaching materials based on character education. This can be seen the average value of students at the pretest of 63.43 and the pottest of 71.72. Then it can be concluded that teaching materials based on character education are very suitable and feasible to be used as students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education study programs.Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis pendidikan karakter bahasa untuk meningkatkan kesopanan tindak tutur pada siswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Pengembangan materi pengajaran bahasa terintegrasi dalam mata kuliah pragmatik. Secara umum, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan karakter berbicara dalam kesantunan tindak tutur bahasa Melayu di lingkungan mahasiswa Program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan sastra Indonesia IKIP  PGRI Pontianak. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan oleh peneliti layak digunakan dengan presentase sebesar 78,94% dan hasil hipotesis terdapat perbedaan antara hasil kesantunan berbicara mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan bahan ajar berbasis pendidikan karakter. Hal ini dapat dilihat nilai rata-rata mahasiswa pada pretest sbesar 63,43 dan pottest sebesar 71,72. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar berbasis pendidikan karakter berbahasa ini sangat cocok dan layak untuk digunakan bagai mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia.

To improve the ability to write Madurese folklore for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature education program STKIP PGRI Bangkalan who can assess 23 students of this study as a solution. This study uses a classroom action approach. Technique data in research using test techniques. The results of the test data analysis by looking at the average value of improvement in the pre-action cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The data analysis technique is done by adding up the scores from the indicators obtained from the students. In the pre-action activity cycle, the average value was 72.70% with a completeness of 35.36% with 8 students completing and 15 incomplete students. In the first cycle of action, the student's average score was 78.50 and the completeness only reached 74.63% with 16 complete students and 7 incomplete students. Meanwhile, in cycle II there were 20 students who had completed with a proportion of 94.72% of students who had not yet completed it as many as 3 students with a proportion of 7.20%. The results of this study indicate that the increase in Madurese folklore for students.

ABSTRACT His study aims to determine the level of self-confidence of students of Indonesian language and literacy education programs and to know the influence of self-confidence in creative thinking of students. This research uses correlation method with simple linear regression analysis. The sample used is 132 students of Indonesian language and literature study program. The results showed that the students' confidence level was in the high category with the mean obtained (99.55). Based on the hypothesis test conducted to determine the effect of self-confidence to students' creative thinking obtained value (F = 49.273), value Sig. = 0.000 (P <0.05). This confirms that confidence has an influence on the creative thinking of the students of Faculty of Language and Literature Education Program. Based on statistical analysis, the research hypothesis is accepted, it means there is influence of self-confidence to creative thinking of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. The magnitude of the influence of self-confidence in student creative thinking illustrates that the value (R = 0.524a) and the value (R Square = 0.275). This shows that the magnitude of the influence of self-confidence is 0.275 which if it is minimized to be 27.5%, to the creative thinking of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Studies Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Islamic University of Riau.

This study was aimed at obtaining a deep understanding of the students' ability to read scientific texts, the obstacles they face, and how to overcome students’ difficulties of the second semester of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program in 2020 of FKIP Untan Pontianak. The results of the students' ability to read scientific texts are used as teaching policies in an effort to motivate and increase students in reading scientific texts to make thembetter. The method used in this research was descriptive, a form of quantitative research. The data of this research ere the test results of the ability to read scientific texts regarding literal understanding, interpretation, evaluation, and understanding of appreciation. Sources of data in this study were students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, semester II of 2020, FKIP Untan Pontinak. Data collection tools were objective test questions on reading comprehension and content interpretation. The data analysis usedquantitative descriptive techniques. The validity of the data was done by checking the validity of the data and it was proven by the triangulation proposed by Robin and Meleong. The reliability of the ability to read scientific texts was determined by the reliability of the rating results. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the students' ability to read scientific texts hadan average value of 74.46. This study covered 30 students. There were 22 students with good grades above 70. There are 8 students whose grades were below 70 or not good. The obstacles faced by students in reading scientific texts were students who were not accurate in answering questions 26.6%, who did not master the vocabulary of absorption elements 27%, who did not understand the meaning of words based on the context of written sentences 30%. Students who did not master the meaning of foreign loan words, 23%, were less able to interpret meanings and read evaluatively 27%. The solutions and suggestions given to overcome these obstacles were as follows: Students are trained to read comprehension critically, to look for difficult vocabulary elements of foreign language absorption, to explain their meaning and use them in the context of other sentences, to assess evaluative reading both in groups and individually.Students also need to take the initiative to learn on their own even though they are not assigned /supervised by lecturers.

One of the function of language is a communication tool. The form of the respect and appreciation of the person to others when communicating is to use polite and courteous language. Therefore, in this research article, the problem that would be discussed was “The Perceptions of  Directive Politeness in Indonesian language for the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program”. The purpose of this research was to describe the directive politeness in Indonesian language for the students of Indonesian Language  and Literature Education Study Program. The quantitative descriptive method was applied in this research by describing the frequency of the politenes in Indonesian language for the students of  Indonesian language and literature education study program. Furthermore, it was describe the differences perception of the politeness for the students of Indonesian language and literature of education who in Lampung ethnic and Javanese ethnic: between male students of  Lampung and Javanese ethnicity, between female students of Lampung and Javanese ethnicity as it is. The questionnaire was applied in this research to get the data on the directives politeness in Indonesian language.The questionnaire contains a context that consisting of 20 questions followed by nine multiple choices of directive speech act from impolite, less polite to polite.  The nine sequences of  directive speech acts are: A. Imperative sentence/Kalimat Imperatif (KI), B. Explicit Performative Sentence/Kalimat Performative Eksplisit (KPE), C. Gated Performative Sentence/Kalimat Performative Berpagar (KPB), D.Statement of Desire/Pernyataan Keinginan (PI), F. Formulation of Suggestions/Rumusan Saran (RS), G. Preparation of Questions/Persiapan Pertanyaan (PP), H. Strong Signals/Isyarat Kuat (IK), and I. Soft Signs/ Isyarat Halus (IH). The result of the research was there were significant differences and similarities in the perception of the Indonesian Language in directive politeness of  Lampung  and Javanese ethnic students. The differences perception of directive politeness in Indonesian language of  Lampung  and Javanese ethnic students were in the statement A, B, D, F, G, H, and I; the similarity perception of directive politeness in Indonesian language of Lampung and Javanese etchnic students were in statements C and E. This differences could occur because of the cultural differences. There was a similarity in the preception of directive politeness in Indonesian language of Lampung and Javanese ethnic students because the two languages have the same level in language.

Pembelajaran daring menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang diterapkan akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Universitas Tidar beserta solusi yang dapat diterapkan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan metode angket dari Google dengan responden berjumlah 85 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 84 mahasiswa yang memiliki kendala dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring. Hal ini merepresentasikan bahwa hampir seluruh mahasiswa mengalami kendala. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembenahan di beberapa aspek agar kendala dapat diminimalisasi. Pada aspek pemberian materi, dosen diharapkan memberikan penjelasan secara terperinci menggunakan video ataupun pesan suara. Pada aspek waktu, dosen diharapkan memberikan toleransi waktu kepada mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan serta mengumpulkan tugas. Pada aspek metode, mahasiswa menghendaki lebih banyak menggunakan metode diskusi, presentasi, serta penugasan.Online learning is an alternative learning that is implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe constraints in implementing online learning of FKIP Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students at Tidar University along with applicable solutions. The research method uses quantitative descriptive methods. The research data were collected using a questionnaire method from Google Form with 85 students as respondents. The results showed 84 students have obstacles in implementing online learning. This represented that almost all students experienced problems. So, improvement is needed in several aspects so that obstacles can be minimized. In the aspect of providing material, lecturers are expected to provide detailed explanations using video or voice messages. In the aspect of time, lecturers are expected to give time tolerance to students in working on and collecting assignments. In the aspect of methods, students want to use more methods of discussion, presentation, and assignments.

This study aimed to analyze the literacy competencies of students' language proficiency in the aspects of listening, responding to the rules, reading and writing. Literacy competence is a competency that must be considered by educators in honing language proficiency which is an important issue, especially in the development of language skills in students. This research used a quantitative-descriptive method. The data obtained from this study were the results of the Indonesian language proficiency test (UKBI) of students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program. The population used in this study were students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program, while the sample who had taken the UKBI test was 24 students. The results of this study indicated that the students' language proficiency literacy competence in the listening aspect obtains an average of 538, responds to the average rule of 464, reads an average of 519, and writes an average of 596. The overall average of language proficiency literacy competencies was 529. Twenty-five was in the middle-ranking, indicating that students have adequate proficiency in communicating using Indonesian, both oral and written. With these skills, the student concerned can understand factual information, properly capture and re-reveal information.

This research is descriptive qualitative research that examines theatrical performances of scripts. It is forbidden to sing in the bathroom. The work of Seno GumiraAjiDarma is the study of semiotic carlesanderspearce. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the study of semiotics in the tetater show had once been conducted by the PBSI Study Program using the study of semiotic carles sanders Pearce. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques, note, and see. The analysis technique used is reducing data, promising data, and verifying data. From the results of the study concluded that the semiotics that appear on signs and markers in the form of symbols are the dance of the bathroom, sound, and the shadow of the bathroom. The index aspect is in the form of actor actions in the form of exoticism, anxiety, admiration, exoticism, and the imagination of the actor. The iconic aspect is shown in one of the events, namely the social environment in the form of a house, bathroom, and boarding house.

This study aims to describe the level of digital literacy and the reliability of reference sources for student academic essays. The research uses a quantitative approach with quantitative descriptive research. This research was conducted on 32 students of the UNM Language and Literature Education Study Program which were obtained using purposive sampling technique.  Collecting data using questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis using presentation techniques. The results showed that the digital literacy level of students in general was in the very high category and the reference sources for student academic essays generally came from credible and trusted sources. This means that students have excellent digital literacy skills and are used in learning to write academic essays online by using various technological devices and applications on the internet that support the learning process.

The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 4 OKU through genius learning strategies and lecture methods. Research data collection techniques using observation, documentation and tests. The research data analysis technique used a descriptive writing test through direct learning and observation models to see student learning activity. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the ability to write anecdotes through genius learning strategies and lecture methods in class X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 OKU. In cycle 1, an average value of 66.68 was obtained, students who achieved completeness were 22 students or the percentage of completeness was 61.11%. In cycle 2 the average value is 69.28%. Students who achieved completeness were 29 students or the average persetanse completeness was 80.56%. Furthermore, in cycle 3 the average value is 76.81. Students who achieved completeness were 34 students or the percentage of student completeness was 94.44%.
