<p>This research was conducted to find out the students’ vocabulary of second semester students of Business English and Management. The research was descriptive qualitative research. 65 students of second semester. Test, questionnaire, and observation sheet were used as the instrument of data collecting. The finding of this research was the students’ vocabulary ability was low that can be seen from the result of the test that the students’ mean score in vocabulary test is 50.8. Then, the results of questionnaire are 78.46 % students like learning vocabulary, 53.84 % students think that vocabulary ability is very important. It means that students have realized that vocabulary ability is essential. Although 53.84 % students think that vocabulary ability is very important, 0 % students think that their vocabulary ability is high and 52.30 % think that their vocabulary ability is medium. In addition, results of the observation while the students doing the test were the researcher found that some students still get confused of the test.<br />Key words: vocabulary ability, descriptive analysis, vocabulary test, questionnaire, observation.</p>

This study aims to describe the meaning of Alang Suntiang Pangulu dance in Padang Laweh village, Sungai Pua district, Agam regency. This is a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method. The object of this research was Alang Suntiang Pangulu dance in Padang Laweh village, Sungai Pua district, Agam regency. The main instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by tools such as stationery and cameras to collect data in the field. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by reducing the data, describing the data, and making conclusion.The results show that Alang Suntiang Pangulu dance describes lessons about things a Pangulu (a leader) uses to maintain his crown or honor. These are found in Alang Suntiang Pangulu dance which gives textual meanings elaborated through motion, floor patterns, music, dancers, make-up, performance, and venues. Lexicology has a very important role in the study of spells, especially in the study of meaning (style). This paper focuses on: 1) the vocabulary used in the spell how to Cara Menanam Tembuni and translation; 2) mantra studies how to Cara Menanam Tembuni by examining meaning in language style. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research methods of text analysis. The data obtained are examined using descriptive analysis approach. From the results of a study on how to plant the placenta spells found: 1) the vocabulary used in the spell of how to grow the afterbirth is the Java Language Ngoko-Chromo among: meneng, jabang bayi, siro, beko, marang, bopo, biyung, sedulur, inggih; 2) spells by planting the placenta contained a tautolog-style parallelism assertion language (meneng-meneng, sugih-sugih, wani-wani, siro-siro, sedulur-sedulur, inggih inggih inggih; alliteration (meneng-meneng, wani-wani, sedulur-sedulur); and inversion (meneng-meneng jabang bayi siro).Keywords: Lexicology Literature, Mantra, Vocabulary, Meaning

Problem-solving is the important part of mathematics curriculum. Most of students still have difficulties and error in prombelm solving. This research aims to know problem-solving ability of students on counting operations of algebra form. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subject is students grade VII-F SMP N 1 Wonosari. The data collecting technique is a problem-solving test. The data analysis according to Miles and Huberman, which is data reduction, data presentation, and making the conclusion. The results of this research showing that: (1) 95.56% of students can understand the problem, 4.44% of students cannot understand the problem; (2) 18.33% of students can devising a plan, 81.67% cannot devising a plan; (3) 28.61% of students can carrying out the plan, 71.39% cannot carrying out the plan; (4) 45% can looking back the answer, 55% cannot looking back the answer.

The study focuses on analyzing the use of modalization in the Political Column of Tempo Magazine. The objectives were to find out the type of modalization and to describe the use of modalization in the Political Column of Tempo magazine. The data were taken from Political Column of Tempo magazine published in June and July 2017. The source of data was Political Column in Tempo magazine. The data analysis applied descriptive qualitative research. There were 135 clauses which contained Modalization from political columns. There were two type of modalization used in the Political column namely, Probability and Usuality. The dominant type of Modalization used in Political text was Probability 97,7% then Usuality 2,93%. The probability itself was realized by modal auxiliaries and modal adjunct. The modal auxiliary which expressed the use of probability in the text was should. The value of the modalization itself was realized by medium value. The use of modalization expressed the attitude of the writer toward the proposition. The use of medium value showed the prediction of the writer about what would happen in the future and expressed the stance of the writer for what he said. Key words: Modalization, Political text, Tempo

This study aims to restore human consciousness related to the concept of Profit and Loss Sharing (PLS) on the order of justice and welfare distribution based on Surah Al-Mulk. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The data collected in this study are secondary data obtained from literature studies of the literature related to problems in the study. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis methods. The result of this research is that Al-Mulk surah is able to make people aware of always presenting Allah in all their activities, so that they can avoid the actions that He forbids. Therefore, this researcher uses surah al-Mulk as the basis for the application of the PLS concept.

This research was conducted at Vania Bogor Hospital which is located at Jalan Siliwangi No.42, Sukasari, Bogor Timur, Kota Bogor, West Java 16142. The purpose of this study was to find out the Suitability of Calculation, Deposit and Reporting at Vania Bogor Hospital in 2015-2016 by Regulation The Director of Tax as stated in PER 32 / PJ / 2015 and PER 16 / PJ / 2016 and Knowing the Suitability of Recordings conducted by Vania Bogor Hospital with generally accepted Accounting Standards.              This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This method is used with the aim to answer and provide an overview of the analysis of calculation, recording, depositing and reporting PPh Article 21. The analysis method used by the writer is descriptive qualitative writing, which is an attempt to collect and compile a data, then analyze the data . Descriptive analysis is the data collected is in the form of numbers.              The results of the research show that the calculation, recording, depositing and reporting conducted by Vania Bogor Hospital is in accordance with the generally accepted tax regulations and accounting standards. However, there are some SPT for Correction Periods in Reporting that were carried out by Vania Bogor Hospital which was caused by being wrong in calculating the number of employees. For Vania Bogor Hospital employees who are responsible for Article 21 PPh, it is advisable to do the right calculation between the number of employees who are still working and the number of employees who are no longer working at Vania Bogor Hospital.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kode-kode budaya yang terdapat dalam sastra lisan Biak di Papua. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktur dan semiotik Umberto Eco. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah sastra lisan Biak yang diambil di Kampung Opiaref, Distrik Biak Timur. Melalui analisis semiotik sistem sintaktik diperoleh kode­‐kode yang signifikan antara lain: latar darat dan laut, tokoh Manarmakeri dan Marmar, serta mitos sebagai penanda hak ulayat. Dari analisis semiotik sistem semantik diperoleh kode­‐kode yang signifikan seperti: nyambondi, tifa Aryam, farbuk idadwer, patrilokal, eksistensi anak laki­‐laki dalam kekerabatan patrilineal, ararem, abeyap srendi, munara, dan totem ikan sako. Makna dari kode­‐kode budaya tersebut mengomunikasikan tentang proyeksi berfikir mereka yang bermuara pada eksistensi dan gengsi keret. Abstract: This research aims to describe the cultural codes in oral literature of Biak in Papua. It is a descriptive qualitative research with structure and Umberto Eco’s semiotic approach. The main data of this research are the oral literature of Biak, exactly from Opiaref Village, East Biak District. Based on the semiotic analysis of syntactic system, there are some significant codes such as the setting of land and sea, the characters of Manarmakeri and Marmar, and myth as a claim of land possession. Based on the semiotic analysis of semantic system, there are some significant codes such as nyambondi, tifa Aryam, farbuk idadwer, patrilocal custom, the existence of a man in patrilineal clan, ararem, abeyap srendi, munara, and totem of sako fish. The significance of those cultural codes communicate their way of thinking, emphasizes on clan existence and prestige. Key Words: oral literature; cultural codes; meaning

In Islam economic instrument, there is optimaze of zakah that must be supported with riba disbandment so it is able to create society prosperity. The phenomena of non halal fund at LAZ also cause controversial in ulama society until now and there is not MUI fatwa yet that discuss about its non halal fund. This research purpose is to know and analyze the accounting treatment of Amil Zakah Institution in non halal fund and compare it with PSAK 109. Type of this research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis approach, and data collecting method that used is case study with take LAZ Yatim Mandiri, LAZ Rumah Zakat, and LAZ DD Surabaya as the research objects. Non halal treatment at these LAZ is include the confession, presentation, and expressing and still not appropriate with non halal fund rule at ED PSAK 109 and PSAK 109, whereas to non halal fund measurement have been appropriate with PSAK 109. So that, in the future, the three LAZ must be recognize non halal fund acceptance as non halal fund and it should provide separately from zakah fund, infaq fund, amil fund and wakaf fund. In addition, dana non halal fund source must only originate from bank interest and giro, that amount is not too large and distributed for Muslim public interest out from consumption and religious facility. This paper tries to explore the language acquisition of 3-to 5-year old children, especially in the field of phonology. Based upon this, the aim of his study is to raise the fact based on the data collected. Therefore, this paper can be categorized into the type of descriptive qualitative research. By this consideration, the data collecting technique used in this study is participatory conversational observation combined with informal technique as the data presentation technique so that the final presentation of the data will be specified into the description of the data that have been analyzed. Hence, the result of this study that can be raised to the surface is that 3-to 5-year-old children in kindergarten "Buah Hati" Rembiga are still problematic in pronouncing all sounds belonging to the plosive and fricative.

This study was designed in the form of descriptive qualitative research with the aim at describing the most frequently used suffix in the article entitled “British Company to Invest $200m in West Java waste-to-fuel Plants” from online newspaper The Jakarta Post that published on 4th of March 2019. Documentation is the techniques of data collecting used in this study by reading, analyzing the text, gathering, and counting the suffixes used. The result showed that there are 83 data of suffixes found with 62 data are inflectional suffixes consist of 37% suffix –s (31 data), 18% suffix –ed (15 data), 18% suffix –ing (15 data), and 1% suffix –er (1 data). The rest of 21 data found are derivational suffixes, consist of 1% suffix –able, –ant, –ate, –ation,  –ition, –in, –or, –ship, and –ty with each suffix consist of 1 data. The other forms of derivational suffixes found are 5% suffix –ion (4 data), 5% suffix –ly (4 data), 3% suffix –ment (2 data), and 3% suffix –y (2 data). Thus, the writers concluded that inflectional suffixes with the form of suffix –s is the most frequently used suffix in the article.
