Pangandaran is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia which has developed and has fairly strategic potential to encourage the regional and state economy. The rapid development of tourism in Pangandaran turned out to cause various problems. This is due to the lack of synergy among the roles of stakeholders involved in Pangandaran tourism management. In 2010, the Destination Management Organization (DMO) concept was implemented as an effort to improve the tourism destination governance in Pangandaran. This concept emphasizes the form of collaboration among stakeholders from community groups, the private sectors, and the government. The collaboration is led by the destination management organization (DMO) which serves as mediator, facilitator, and coordinator among the three stakeholder groups. This research is conducted in Pangandaran Village using mixed method which combines quantitative and qualitative research methods aimed to analyze the stakeholders who are involved in tourism destination governance in Pangandaran based on the DMO concept. From the results of the study, it is found that there are ten stakeholders who have high involvement on the tourism destination governance in Pangandaran. All of them have high level of interest and power, but there is one stakeholder who has high interest but low power in DMO-based tourism destination governance collaboration

Accurate tourism volatility forecasts for popular tourist destinations, like the Victoria Falls Rainforest, are vital to tourism destination managers and policymakers. The Victoria Falls Rainforest in Zimbabwe is under the town of Victoria Falls and is one of the natural wonders of the world. The rainforest has many exceptional plant species not common in the region and hence attracts many tourists. Financial, political and economic environments differently affect the Zimbabwean tourism industry, as evidenced by large tourist arrival fluctuations. Previous research focused more on tourism determinants than tourism volatilities. Researchers noted political instability and exchange rates as the major Zimbabwean tourism determinants. Estimates of the Victoria Falls Rainforest tourist arrival volatilities are projected using the monthly tourist arrival figures from the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. The first difference of logarithmic transformed series is stationary. The univariate SARIMA(2,1,0)(2,0,0)12-ARCH(1) model fits extremely well and provides an informative out-of-sample volatility forecast because it captures tourism volatility effects, dynamics and non-linearity of conditional variances. The results indicate that positive tourism shocks affect tourist arrival volatility positively. Volatility estimates indicated minimal uncertainty in the first half of the forecasted year and then became constant throughout the year. This encourages the continuation of the implementation of new favourable policies and marketing strategies by the government and tourism destination managers to keep the destination distinctive and attractive. The New Zimbabwe political dispensation is likely to enhance investment opportunities at the Victoria Falls Rainforest as a destination because of minimal uncertainties exhibited by volatility forecasts. Potential employment creation, improved economic environment and other positives are some of the expectations from the model results.

After a period of stabilization lasting more than 20 years, the Thai sea fisheries developed rapidly during the past decade through the introduction of trawl fishing. Suitable nets and fishing techniques were demonstrated and introduced in the course of a German bilateral aid project. This new input, together with a high level of technical abilities among the fishermen, the availability of sufficient capital to finance a trawler fleet of more than 2,500 boats, and adequate support from the Thai Government, resulted in rapid development of trawling from small vessels. Landings were about 600,000 metric tons of groundfish from the coastal area in 1970. About half of this is for human consumption, the remainder mostly being used fresh for duck food or, after processing, as chicken food. The level of development achieved has unfortunately meant that the moderately rich bottom-fish resources of the Gulf of Thailand have become overexploited. In 1971 the catch per unit of effort had decreased to only a quarter of the original, making trawling operations only marginally economic. This points up the difficult problem of the control of fishing effort, which the Government of Thailand, no less than other nations, has not yet been able to resolve satisfactorily.
