Chili is a horticultural commodity that has high economic value, one of the leading national vegetable commodities, and has high competitiveness, so its availability must be increased continuously. Production of Cayanne Pepper can be optimized in various ways such as planting fertile and healthy land, can be planting Cayenne Pepper in the home yard, but problems occur when Cayanne Pepper are planted on acid mineral soils such as Ultisol which are known to have low organic matter and nutrients. This study tries to utilize household wasted as tea and leri which is combined and applied to Ultisol so that its effect on the soil and yield of Cayanne Pepper plants can be increased. The design model used in this research is a Completely Randomized Design Factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is tea wasted (factor T) with 4 levels, as T20 (tea waste 20 g), T40 (tea waste 40 g), T60 (tea waste 60), and T80 (tea waste 80 g). The second factor is the leri water (factor L) with 4 levels, as L50 (leri 50 ml), L100 (leri 100 ml), T150 (leri 150 ml) and L200 (leri 200 ml) so there are 16 combinations of treatments with 3 replications. Observations in the research identification of N-total, P2O5, K2O, total chlorophyll, the weight of fresh fruit, the quantity of fruits, dry weight of plants. The results show that the treatment of the combination of tea wasted and leri water has a positive effect on soil chemical so that it affects the yield of Cayanne Pepper plants.

This research was aimed to identify the influence of Atonic cencentration to the growth of single-node Vanilla cutting planted at various growing media types. Completely randomized design was used in this research with two factors namely Atonic concentration (500 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, 2000 ppm, dan 2500 ppm) and growing media types (tanah, pasir, tanah + pupuk kandang, tanah + pasir, tanah + pasir + pupuk kandang). The result showed that there were no interaction between Atonic concentration and growing media types to the growth of single-node vanilla cutting. Furthermore, the application of Atonic concentration at 2000 ppm established the best result of root length (12,32 cm) and root dry weight (0,16); while the best result of germination percentage (92,23%) revealed by Atonic concentration of 1500 ppm. Regression analysis of germination percentage showed that the optimal concentration of Atonic was 1842 ppm with R<sup>2</sup> = 60,3%. Mixed media of soil + sand + dung performed the best result in root length, root dry weight and germination percentage.

The purpose of this research is determining the effect of some  treatment combinations and to determine the combination of best compost bunches empty palm oil and dolomite that could support growth seeds palm oil plantations in a main nursery. This research has been conducted in the experimental field, Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau from April to July 2015. The research used Completely Randomized Design Factorial that consisting of two factors. The first factor is giving compost bunches empty palm oil : (37,5, 75 and 112,5 g/polybag).  The  second  factor  is  giving  lime  dolomite  (CaMg  (CO3)2) : (9, 18 and 30 g/polybag).   Each combination made three replications and two plants. The data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance and the means were tested with Duncan 5%. The research results show that combination of compost bunches empty palm oil and dolomite had show the real effect on the increase in diameter hump of seedlings , but the effect not real on the parameters height of seedlings,increase number of leaves, volume roots, ratio crown rootsand and dry weight of seedlings. Combination compost bunches empty palm oil 112,5 g/polybag and dolomite 18 g/polybag showed better results for the growth of palm oil seedlings.

This study aims to determine the effect of growth regulators Hormonik against Parthenocarpy process on three major varieties of pepper plants and to determine the effect of plant growth regulator that is optimum for the process Hormonik Parthenocarpy in three major varieties of chili. This research was conducted in Tanjung Selor, in January to May 2016. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors and nine replications. The first factor is the treatment Hormonik consisting of four levels ie 0 cc, 1 cc, 2 cc, 3 cc, the second factor is the variety Arielle, Darmais and Pilar. From the analysis of variance showed that the treatment Hormonik to varieties of very significant effect on the parameters of heavy fruit crop, the number of fruit crops, fruit length persampel and the number of seeds persampel first harvest, after a further test using LSD 5%, by weight of fruit crops and the amount of fruit planting the first crop was not significantly different, but significantly different with persampel fruit length and number of seeds persampel first harvest.

White jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba (Roxb.) Miq) are plants with high economic value. It can be propagated vegetatively using its shoot cuttings. One of the way to enhance the growth of shoot cuttings by submersion in green bean sprout extract was expected to produce shoot cuttings with better growth. This study aimed to determine the submersion effect of white jabon (A. cadamba) shoot cuttings in green bean (Vigna sinensis) sprout extract. The Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 5 levels of treatment were used. The cuttings were submerged in extract concentrations of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The study parameters of number of roots and leaves, plant height, wet and dry weight were observed. The results showed that the concentration treatment with 75% green bean sprout extract produced 9,25±2,50 root strands, 5,75±0,50 leaves, plant height of 20,13±1,11 cm, wet weight of 12,39±3,62 g, and dry weight of 1,51±0,42 g.

The aim of the article is to study the interaction effect between NAA and BAP concentration on protocorm growth and to know the proper concentration for growth of Dendrobium  spectabile  orchid protocorm. This research method using an experimental method which is conducted in the Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Winaya Mukti University, Tanjungsari Subdistrict, Sumedang District. The experiment was conducted from June 2017 until September 2017. The experiment used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the factorial pattern, consisting of two factors and repeated twice. the first factor was the effect of NAA concentration which consisted of five levels, namely without NAA, 0.5 mg kg-1, 1.0 mg kg-1, 1.5 mg kg-1, and 2.0 mg kg-1.  The second factor is the BAP concentration which consists of five levels, namel without BAP, 1.0 mg kg-1, 2.0 mg kg-1, 3.0 mg kg-1, and 4.0 mg kg-1. Eksplant is protocorm from orchid D. spectabile which is grown on MS medium (Murashig and Skoog) half recipe as base medium accompanied by each treatment for 12 weeks. The experimental results show that there is an interaction between the effect of NAA and BAP concentration on the number of leaves only. Without NAA or 1.5 mg kg-1 NAA concentration with BAP 2.0 mg kg-1 gives more leaves.  Independent of NAA or BAP concentrations did not affect the number of buds, number of roots, root length, fresh and dry weight of plantlets, and also growth ability of plantlets.  BAP concentration only affect plant height, and the highest plantlet height is found without add of BAP in medium culture

Paraserianthes falcataria is naturally had symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing bacteria (Rhizobium). Urea is fertilizer with high content of nitrogen (46%). The research aimed to study the effect of Rhizobium inoculation on P. falcataria seedling growth; the influence of various concentrations of urea on P. falcataria seedling growth and the interaction of Rhizobium and urea at Rhizobium colonization and seedling growth. The research design was factorial completely randomized design, consisting of two factors, the first factor was the Rhizobium inoculation and the second factor was the doses of urea wich were 0, 2, 4 and 8 grams. The results showed that Rhizobium inoculation could increase the high, diameter, formation of effective nodule, and dry weight of P. falcataria seedling; added 4 grams urea produced the best growth; while Rhizobium inoculation without fertilization produced the highest Rhizobium colonization and the best growth.Keywords: Nitrogen, Paraserianthes falcataria, Rhizobium, Urea

Katuk {Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr} is a leafy vegetable which requires nitrogen for itsvegetative growth.  This study was aimed at assessing the agronomic performance of various accessions of katuk vegetable grown with different rates of urea fertilizer administration.  A completely randomized design with two factors was used.  The first factor was katuk accessions consisting of Sukaraja Sukabumi, Cugenang Cianjur, and Kemang Bogor.  The second factor was urea fertilizer administration in five rates, namely 0, 33.3, 66.7, 100%, and 133.3% of recommended rate (R).  Results showed that katuk plant of Sukabumi accession gave the best plant height and leaflet area.  Katuk plant of Cianjur accession had the highest values of plant height, number of buds, yield fresh weight, yield dry weight, and root length.  Katuk plant of Bogor accession was found to have the highest fresh root weight.  Urea administration of 66.7-133.3% R resulted in katuk plant with the best values of plant height, number of buds, stem diameter.  The widest leaf area was found in 100% R urea administration and the highest root weight was found in plants treated with 66.7% R urea administration.  The increase of urea fertilizer doses starting from 33.3% R in Cianjur and Bogor katuk accession increased the total harvest wet weight and dry weight, while in Sukabumi accession the significant increase in production was at a dose of 100% R and 133.3% R urea. The increase in vitamin C content was significant in the application of 133.3% R urea fertilizer.

This study was aimed at assessing the effects of different rates of cattle urine and urea fertilizer and on the growth and production of three lemon basil accessions. A factorial completely randomized design with two factors was used. The first factor was the composition of cattle urine and urea fertilizer consisting of six levels, namely 100% cattle urine, 75% cattle urine + 25% urea, 50% cattle urine + 50% urea, 25% cattle urine + 75% urea, 100% urea, and 0% cattle urine + 0% urea. The second factor was lemon basil accession consisting of three levels, namely Bogor, Cianjur, and Sukabumi accessions. Results showed that Sukabumi acession had the highest number of leaves, leaf area, branch length, number of branches, branch diameter, fresh weight and dry weight. Urea and urine cattle compositions did not give significant effects on parameters measured. However, compared to no fertilizer tretament, other treatments gave significant differences in parameters measured. It was concluded that cattle urine could be used to substitute urea fertilizer.

Edamame is a type of soybean that is consumed in an immature period. High demand for market exports especially to Japan, must be balanced by maximizing production with the use of marginal lands. One of marginal lands is peatland which might be used as growth media for edamame with Urea and Rhizobium biofertilizer application to support its growth. The recent study aimed at analyzing the combination of Urea and Rhizobium biofertilizer on the growth of edamame on peat soil media. The experiment was laid out in. Completely Randomized Design (CDR) with two factors. First factor was Urea dosage: p1 = 50 kg ha-1, p2 = 150 kg ha-1, p3 = 100 kg ha-1, p4 = 200 kg ha-1. The second factor was Rhizobium biofertilizer treatment: r0 = without Rhizobium biofertilizer and r1 = Rhizobium biofertilizer 8g kg-1 edamame seeds. All combination was repeated 3 times with 3 polybags of them, so that there were 72 plants in total. The results showed that there was a response between application of Urea and Rhizobium biofertilizer have a significant effect on the observed parameters, that is plant height (cm), number of trifoliate leaves (straind), shoot dry weight (g) and root dry weight (g). The result showed that the application of Urea 50 kg ha-1 with Rhizobium biofertilizer increased plant growth of edamame on peat soil.   Keywords: Biofertilizer, Edamame soybean, Fresh vegetable, Wetland

Abaca is a type a banana with high economic value with it stem fiber used in textile and paper industries. As a superior commodity, its number is relatively limited, with the need of a largeplanting area to meet the high market demand. The aim of the research was to observe the abaca banana explants response to various media and Thiamin. The experiment was done at Biotechnology laboratory, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta. Treatments were arranged in completely randomized design with 2 factor. The first factor is the growing media: Murashige & Skoog, a half Murashige & Skoog media, Vacint & Went Media and the second factor is the Thiamin concentration: 2 mg/L; 3 mg/L; 4 mg/mL.The results showed there is an interactions on the parameters of planlet height, number of lenghth of root in the combination of Murashige and Skoog and thiamin 3 mg/L medium. Murashige and Skoog medium produced the highest fresh weight and dry weight and Thiamin concentration 3 mg/L produced fresh and dry weight in the highestKey words: abaka, root induction, various media, thiamin
