The paper is an attempt to estimate the influence of synergy in the long-term parameter of order in the nature of political processes in the Russian Federation in the third decade of the 21st century. Two interpretations of this synergetic parameter are proposed – one is based on I. Prigogine’s idea that every dissipative system experiences periods of deterministic and non-deterministic chaos. It incorporates a combination of time and the population of the state. The other is based on the modified ‘structurally-demographic’ approach of A. Korotayev and J. Goldstone. We consider the rate of annual growth in the number of urban young people as such a parameter is proposed. We predict that the Russian Federation will enter into the next period of indeterministic chaos due to the synergetic parameter of order in the next 33-40 years from the last point of bifurcation in 1991. Thus, we forecast the imminent onset of the next period of non-deterministic chaos in the Russian Federation in the second half of the third decade of the 21st century. An influence of several factors on the accuracy of the prognosis of political instability is assessed. It is stated that the probability of political instability in the Russian Federation in the years 2025-2030 caused by synergetic and structuraldemographic parameters of order will decreas under the additional influence of open borders and the high demand for jobs in the military services.

This study aims to analyze the benefits of empowering women program through Islamic microfinance program by focusing on the case of Baitulmal wat Tamwil (BMT) in Beringharjo, Indonesia. It is expected to fill the gap in the literature since most of the current studies have been focusing on conventional microfinance rather than Islamic microfinance. This study used primary data collected by interviewing participants of the Islamic microfinance program offered by the BMT. The Qualitative Content Analysis method has been used to extend the conceptual theoretical framework and give wider results description that could not be captured by the quantitative approach. The result shows that there were improvements in various socio-economic aspects of the participants such as higher income and expenditure, and more involvements in community activities, decision making and children’s education. While the focus of this study is only limited to the case of BMT Beringharjo in Jogjakarta, Indonesia, the findings from this study can be generalized and would contribute towards further improvements of future women empowerment programs throughout the globe.

Active mobility, active travel, active transport, and active transportation are synonyms of transport of people that only use their physical activity for the need to travel. The most known forms of active mobility are walking and cycling, though the skateboard, kick scooter or roller skates are also a form of active mobility. The city of Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria and the largest seaside city in the country. In the high tourist season, the city shows much more street problems than usual. The congestion seems to be greater each and every year and this affects active transportation. As a result of the dominant character of the private car in our everyday life, it seems that the active forms of transport are being neglected. To change this trend an integrated transport policy is required where the pedestrians will be placed in the center of the daily agenda. One of the very important components to support active mobility is the policy framework. It should guarantee that all forms of active mobility have also rights as users of the streets and are not neglected in the planning process. The current study aims to analyze the existing relevant national and local (for the city of Varna) regulations regarding walking and cycling and to evaluate the degree of policy support in order to respect their rights and needs. The existences of the relevant policies and how they are implemented is a matter of the study. The collected data about the regulatory framework is evaluated using the content analysis method.

Al-Zahrawi was an illustrious figure in medicine. He not only contributed to the Islamic civilization, but is highly regarded as a genius who had an enormous influence, generally, in the field of medicine and, particularly, in surgery in Europe. His influence continued into the Renaissance age and the modern age. Renaissance was the age of European civilization from about the 14th Century to 17th Century AD which is said to be a period of ‘rebirth’ of arts, architecture, culture, politics, economics and knowledge. This influence is associated with his work, namely, al-Tasrif li man ‘Ajiza ‘an al-Ta’lif, which contains descriptions and illustrations of more than 200 surgical instruments and surgical procedures which he pioneered and that revolutionized the field of surgery. This study aims to analyze Europe’s efforts in utilizing al-Zahrawi’s landmark 30-volume encyclopedic work in developing the field of medicine. This research is qualitative with a historical approach. Data were collected using content analysis method, while data analysis was done descriptively. The results show that Europe used three methods to benefit from al-Zahrawi’s work in developing the field of medicine in European civilization. The first method was translation of al-Tasrif li man ‘Ajiza ‘an al-Ta’lif into various European languages. This initiative lasted almost 800 years. The second method was using al-Tasrif li man ‘Ajiza ‘an al-Ta’lif as reference material in medical schools in Europe. And the third method was to make al-Tasrif li man ‘Ajiza ‘an al-Ta’lif as reference material in writings of medical experts.
