This article presents the perceptions of undergraduate students about Linguistic Discrimination (LD). The main objective of this study is to analyze of quantitative research view of literary scholars confronted with situations related to the mythology of linguistic prejudice, that is, to the myths that, according to Bagno (1999), are constructors of discriminatory behaviors before certain linguistic varieties.

This quantitative research aims to examine how different levels of motivation relate to frequency of occurrence of autonomous language learning activities undertaken by undergraduate students. Eight hundred and sixty-two college students from 10 vocational training programs of a public university located in Ecuador, South America, participated in this study. Spratt’s questionnaire that regards ‘autonomy and motivation’ as a cyclical interaction in the language learning process, was updated by the researchers, adding digital education elements. The data were analyzed using the program SPSS v24.0.0 The results showed that there was a significant relationship between: the language learning stimulation generated by professors and the participants’ learning attitudes. In addition, it was determined that the most frequent language practices in which the participants showed greatest autonomy were: listening to songs in English language, worrying about the correct pronunciation, and noting down interesting words or expressions in English.

Household food insecurity (HFI) exists when access to food is inadequate or insecure due to financial constraints, and is an issue of increasing concern among postsecondary students who face barriers to food access due to precarious finances. The goal of the current study was to explore the experience of HFI among university students in Nova Scotia (NS), including barriers and facilitators, and potential policy solutions to the issue from the perspective of students. Twelve semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with students experiencing HFI from across NS. Phenomenological analysis was undertaken, using Radimer’s model of HFI as a theoretical framework. Key aspects of the experience of food insecurity in this sample included all four dimensions of Radimer’s model of HFI: quantitative, qualitative, psychological, and social. The main contributing factor to student’s difficulties accessing food was inadequate and precarious finances. Students highlighted various coping mechanisms, such as utilizing food banks, budgeting their money, and buying food in bulk. This study is an important next step to a better understanding of the experience of student HFI in NS, building on previous quantitative research. Findings suggest that while the experience of HFI has many similarities with the experience in other populations, students experience tensions between independence and reliance on their family and have unique struggles related to government financial supports. The findings point to necessary policy changes related to student funding programs, and suggest that relying on campus food banks to solve the issue of HFI among students is inadequate.

This study investigates students' perception of the use of YouTube to facilitate undergraduate students' speaking activities. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research. The sampling system is done randomly and takes 40 students as a sample. The questionnaire has two parts, followed by ten questions with five answer choices using a Likert scale covering strongly disagree to strongly agree. The result of the study shows that 80% of students access YouTube because YouTube is very interesting, 75% of students say YouTube is an easy media to access, 80% of students say YouTube can be used as a learning resource (80%), and 85% of students use YouTube as a medium for doing speaking tasks. The student response to the use of YouTube as the media of facilitating students' speaking tasks is very positive, where 72% of students stated they strongly agreed if the practice of speaking through YouTube was applied, and 20% of students agreed. In general, student responses in using YouTube to facilitate students speaking activities in distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic are very positive.

English grammar is how words in the English language are translated into text. This includes the structure of words, phrases, clauses, and phrases, up to and including full-text structure. The main objective of the authors is to discover the difficulties of grammatical structures for students at the Department of Teacher Education. Shikarpur Shaikh Ayaz University. The students of B.Ed. undergraduate level of education department was selected as a data population. The fifty students were randomly selected from the education department. There is quantitative research underway. The researchers used a testing tool for a questionnaire. The student's collected data were analyzed by SPSS-Descriptive statistics.  Some of the challenges and problems are facing during the English Grammar lesson of B.Ed. students. The students have used the conditional verb and also the proper use of a phrasal verb that is one of the problems with students. The use of an article is also one of the fundamental problems for undergraduate students. Teachers should make it possible for students to practice these materials either through activity-based teaching or through the CLT method so that they can be more attentive to EFL learning and not focus on translation alone.

Os cursos da área da saúde possuem extensa carga horária de estágios, aulas práticas, relatórios e trabalho de conclusão de curso. Há ainda, na área da Enfermagem, inerente desgaste relacionado ao contato direto com doenças e mortes que a futura profissão lhes ocasiona nos estágios em instituições de saúde. Isso torna o ambiente acadêmico envolto em sentimentos de grande ansiedade e estresse. Dessa forma, os estudantes podem apresentar níveis elevados de estresse que podem causar o adoecimento físico e psíquico e comprometer a saúde mental deles. Por essas razões, este trabalho, por meio de pesquisa quantitativa, tem o intuito de descrever a prevalência de estresse e as estratégias de coping utilizadas nos estudantes do curso de Enfermagem. Os instrumentos utilizados foram a aplicação de um questionário sociodemográfico, escala Nível de Estresse nos Estudantes (N.I.S.E.S.T.E) e o Inventário de Resolução de Problemas (I.R.P). O maior nível de estresse encontrado foi em relação à preocupação com os estágios (2,9) e preocupação com os exames (2,73). Os universitários utilizam estratégias de coping positivas como atitude de confronto e resolução de problemas (3,67) e atitude ativa de não inferências (3,37). O nível de estresse dos universitários é considerado médio pela utilização de estratégias de coping positivas, o que colabora para que o estresse não seja alto e prejudicial.   STRESS LEVEL AND COPING STRATEGIES FOR SENIOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS   ABSTRACT The health degree programs bear an extensive internship workload, practical classes, reports, and final paper. There is also, in Nursing degree, inherent physical wear related to personal contact to diseases and deaths that the student’s future profession causes during the internship in Health Institutions.  As a consequence, the academic environment is surrounded by stress and anxiety feelings. Accordingly, students may present high levels of stress and result in physical and psychological illnesses and jeopardize their mental health. Thus, this paper aims through quantitative research to describe stress relevance and coping strategies used by students at Nursing school. The instruments used were the application of a sociodemographic questionnaire, for College Undergraduate Stress Scale (CUSS), and Problem Solving Inventory (PSI). The highest level demonstrated was regarding internship (2,9) and concerns with exams (2,73). Students used positive coping strategies as confront attitudes and solving problems (3,67), and non-inference active attitudes (3,37). According to positive coping strategies, the student’s stress level was considered medium; it contributes so that stress will not be high and harmful.    Descriptors: Psychological Stress. This study focused on investigating the factors that affect the entrepreneurial intention of final year undergraduate students at a South African university. It aimed to achieve the following objectives, (1) to assess the entrepreneurial intention of final year university students, (2) to investigate the effect of psychological and contextual factors on entrepreneurial intention of final year university students and (3) to examine if there is a gender difference in the effect of psychological and contextual factors on entrepreneurial intention of final year university students. The study examined the effect of psychological and contextual factors on the entrepreneurial intention of final year undergraduate students. The study used the quantitative research method with a descriptive research design. 140 students participated in the survey and data was collected through the use of self-administered questionnaire in a survey. The participants in the study were final year undergraduate business management students. The convenience sampling technique was used in the study. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and the T-test. The results indicated that business students have a high level of entrepreneurial intention. Both psychological and contextual factors positively impact on entrepreneurial intention. There is no significant gender difference. Recommendations to improve the entrepreneurial intention of students are suggested.

Scientific writing and communication skills of undergraduate students in the Biology Education Program of University of Palangka Raya need to be improved. The purpose of this research was to implement mini-research in animal ecology field practice to train undergraduate students’ scientific writing and communication skills. This descriptive quantitative research used action-research method with two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four stages i.e (1) plan; (2) take action; (3) collect and analyze evidences, and (4) reflect. The data gained were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that the gain score of students’ scientific writing skills based on mini-research assessment was 0.6 (moderate category). Moreover, students' communication skills showed an improvement from cycle 1 to cycle 2 which was assessed during the presentation session. All the findings in this study indicate that the implementation of the mini-research project in the field practice of the animal ecology course helps students to develop scientific writing and communication skills.

The results of this study may lead to a better understanding for Western educators and business practitioners when dealing with Chinese students or clients in a cross-cultural environment.

Rules have been formulated on how adverbials are used. Such rules as stated by Quirk and Greenbaum (1973), Hornby (1975) and Swan (1995) are silent on how a few adverbials that have no restrictions regarding their position and order in sentences should be used. This paper, relying on language variation in the second language setting as a theoretical framework, explored how undergraduate students used these kinds of mobile adverbials. The quantitative research design and a simple random sampling were applied to select a total of 100 essays and exercises from fresh undergraduates of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Analysing these essays and exercises, we concluded that although the adverbial is an optional clausal element, the undergraduate students used it in providing further information on the other clausal elements. In addition, the undergraduate students often placed the adverbials in the mid position of their sentences. This paper examines the entrepreneurial orientation amongst the students acquiring entrepreneurial education at center for entrepreneurial development at IBA Karachi. This research contributes to the literature through its theoretical model, which tests entrepreneurial intention of undergraduate students through Smart PLS 3.0. A quantitative research method has been adopted. Entrepreneurial skills & competencies and entrepreneurial knowledge are taken as independent variables. Entrepreneurial career option is dependent variable. Effectuation is taken as a mediating variable. The model has been applied on a sample of 250 undergraduate students, who enrolled in different entrepreneurship programs of Karachi (Example: Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Program (STEP) and International Entrepreneurship Winter School (IEWS) at IBA CED. The results of the study showed that effectuation significantly mediates the association between entrepreneurial skills & competencies and entrepreneurial career option. The study affirms that effectuation is a mediator in the association between entrepreneurial knowledge & awareness and entrepreneurial career option. The implications of this research will be helpful for academicians, research scholars and policy makers, working in the entrepreneurial development sector. The research will contribute to the existing literature through the entrepreneurship model
