The purpose of this study was to explore principals' perceptions and practices to deal with students who show disruptive and aggressive behavior in schools by using qualitative research methods. The conceptual framework of the study was based on six different approaches to effectively deal with bullying in educational institutions. A basic qualitative research design was used, and twelve elite school principals were selected through the purposive sampling technique. The framework analysis of the interview data revealed that principals' understanding of what could be done to address bullying was not limited. They were well acquainted with the alternatives or options to deal with a problematic situation, and they creatively mixed different approaches according to their own perceptions and the nature of the problem. However, most of the participants dealt with students while strengthening their confidence and making them independent through counselling techniques.

The purpose of this impact study was to determine the relevant learning experiences of the ZCSPC participants in the Orientation-Workshop on Normative Funding for SUCs/Campuses in Region IX and Utilization of Income Generating and how they implemented the learning experiences, relevant to their duties and responsibilities, in the College. The qualitative research design was utilized. The purposive sampling technique was used since the respondents were the identified ZCSPC participants.  The data were collected using the one-on-one interview between the respondent and the researcher. The findings revealed the following salient concerns affecting the normative funding:  a.) the budget officer did not adopt the Aklan State University model policy on the use of income and opted to follow the ZCSPC’s existing policy on the use of income up to the present; b.) the advice to strictly implement the PhilGEPS was adopted by the College and gradually implemented in its procurement system; c.) the workload misconceptions of the faculty members were given attention through the initial workload policy revision made by the VPTAA (2009). The Administration resorted to the hiring of visiting lecturers and the implementation of the biometric system until the faculty members fully understood the workload policy through the CHED-HEMIS guidelines on August 2013.  It is recommended that ZCSPC Administration strictly follow the guidelines set by CMO No. 20, s. 2011;  strictly monitor PhilGEPS postings; and fully implement the vertical articulation.

It was conducted with qualitative research design which aims to examine the meanings inflicted from individuals’ experiences and to demonstrate the concepts in their natural environment in a realistic and holistic way. The study group of the research was determined using criterion sampling and maximum variety sampling methods. The study group consists of 12 principals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and who work in primary, secondary and high schools in Duzce province in 2016-2017 academic year. The fact that principals were chosen among the ones who have at least 5 years of experience results from the idea that their awareness of teacher maturity would be higher. Primary, secondary and high school principals were consulted in order to provide maximum variation. Semi-structured interview form was developed based on the maturity theory of Argyris. Principals mainly stated that teachers are passive both in educational and managerial processes in school and in their professional processes. They remarked that teachers cannot operate the work independently and that they demonstrate indifference to the job. They also observed that teachers behave restrictedly, have short term perceptions and do not have the inclination to make progress in their career. It can be concluded that teachers have not achieved professional maturity in teaching.Extended English abstract is in the end of PDF (TURKISH) file. ÖzetBu çalışmada, Chris Agyris’in “Olgunluk Kuramı” kapsamında, öğretmenlerin mesleki olgunluklarına ilişkin okul yöneticilerinin görüşlerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Private schools ensure students' future with rigorous academic curricula that incorporate durable skills like pro-activeness, critical thinking, and collaboration. However, due to financial constraints, learners are left with no option but to enroll in a tertiary school that offers free of charge. Hence, this paper aims to inquire into the lives of transferring students from a private school to a state college. The researcher utilized the purposive sampling technique to determine the five participants of the study who were selected using inclusion criteria. Through qualitative research design, the data were gathered from the participants using an in-depth interview. Data were analyzed using a recursive textual analysis aided by Litchman's 3 C's-coding, categorizing, and conceptualizing. The findings reveal that participants shared usual experiences and observations in a state college. Notwithstanding the hardships to accomplish the desired purpose, the students remained focused and motivated. Thus, state college is a conducive avenue for a determined student to earn a degree and become successful in their chosen field.
