Legal clinical education as an innovative form of legal education is studied in the article. The analysis of the influence of the legal clinic on the formation of the legal consciousness and culture of the future lawyer, his formation as a specialist is carried out. The process of modernization of legal education in Ukraine, where the emphasis is on the practical training of future lawyers, and where clinical education plays a crucial role is considered. It is substantiated that legal clinic is a necessary component in obtaining the profession of a lawyer; consolidation of theoretical knowledge and acquisition of practical skills by students, implementation of legal education activities, provision of free legal aid to people in need are grounded. It is proved that the presence of legal clinics within the structure of higher education institutions, their activities and importance for improving the practical training of future lawyers indicates the indisputability of the necessity to study and research legal clinical education. Emphasis is placed on the need to improve the system of future lawyers training. It is legal clinical education that is the best form of legal influence on a person, and is an integral part of the overall reform of higher education, which is being carried out today in Ukraine and aims to train lawyers with high level of competencies and legal awareness. Legal clinics allow students to be creatively realized, to reveal their intellectual potential; and are a link between the traditional educational process and future practical activities. Increase the number of legal clinics, separation of legal clinics into a separate structural unit with the staff in all higher education institutions, the introduction of teaching of a mandatory course in legal clinical education will contribute to the formation of a future lawyer. Legal clinic is a special kind of legal education (for the population) and an innovative form of legal education (for the applicants for law schools).

The gradual process of reforming educational activities lays new demands on education in the higher education system of Ukraine, and therefore there is a need to improve the methodology of teaching any discipline, to continuously monitor the quality of applicants’ educational success, as well as to apply the competence-based approach to education, in general. The article determines the relevance of the study of the educational process optimization in higher education institutions (HEI), including mastering modern principles of teaching Graphic disciplines the creation of which contributes to the active formation of professional competence of students majoring in artistic and architectural specialties. The process of education in HEI is known to be a significant factor in the socialization of a personality, since in addition to acquiring new knowledge and professional competences, it also promotes self-education and self-realization in future life. The authors reveal the peculiarities, technological means and methods of teaching Graphic disciplines and organization of the educational process for freshman and sophomore students of art-related HEI. There is a need to increase the efficiency not only of classroom contact hours, but also of the extracurricular work. This requires that teachers should constantly search for new ways and approaches that could facilitate mastering of educational material. The model of the educational process for near future is one of the directions determining the improvement of the whole education system and involves this type of training, which is characterized by a considerable amount of independent work, which also requires a sufficiently high level of stable skills of individual graphic competence. In this regard, the formation of students’ motivation and interest throughout the educational process in HEI, the recognition of the necessity to obtain a quality graphic education, which is the key to success in their future professional activity, are of great importance.

The article is devoted to the analysis of modern approaches to the organization of the educational process, which would contribute to the formation of a category of lawyers with the necessary knowledge and are capable of preparing and implementing reforms in the political and legal system of their state. It is determined that modern legal education poses its own requirements to the applicant, namely to be a comprehensively developed, independent, self-sufficient person, guided in life by his own knowledge and beliefs, in this regard, the issue of professional training of a modern lawyer, which could withstand modern challenges, becomes especially relevant. It is noted that the training of the future lawyer should be aimed at forming a versatile specialist (lawyer), ready to fulfill a complex set of modern practical tasks for the legal protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of a person and citizen. On this basis, the training of future lawyers should take into account modern approaches to the educational process. The most important of them are analyzed on the example of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter - NULES of Ukraine). First, the quality of specialists’ training substantially depends on quality of teaching subject matters which is defined by providing applicants with the corresponding training material (modern qualitative textbooks, manuals, study guides, didactic materials, etc.). And most importantly - the use of computer technology, electronic educational resources, with the help of which the interaction of the sphere of higher education with other spheres of life of society is ensured. Of course, modern ICTs increase the efficiency of the educational process, open the possibility of introducing completely new methods of teaching and learning. However, the implications of the growing importance of ICT in general, and the Internet in particular, should also be taken into account. The use of modern ICTs has become an integral part of the educational process of NULES of Ukraine during the Covid-19 pandemic. Secondly, taking into account modern trends in the field of education, the training of future lawyers should not ignore one of the most important indicators of the quality of higher legal education - the use of a foreign language in the educational process, in particular English. In particular, the NULES of Ukraine provides teaching in English of certain legal disciplines for applicants for higher education of the first (bachelor's) level. Thirdly, the training of a lawyer should be not only theoretical, but also practical. Practical training of a lawyer involves work during practical classes, internships in enterprises, institutions and organizations, self-training by independently performing certain tasks. However, it is worth highlighting another form of practical component of the training of future lawyers - these are legal clinics. To date, such a form of specialists’ practical training in the field of law has been effectively introduced into the educational process of higher educational institutions of Ukraine of the III-IV levels of accreditation. NULES of Ukraine is no exception. The Legal Clinic «Protection and Justice» operates on the basis of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law. It is proved that the quality of specialists’ training in the field of law depends on many factors (the use of modern ICT in the educational process, electronic educational resources, the possibilities of foreign languages in teaching legal disciplines, etc.). However, to a large extent, the quality of training depends on the practical component of the educational process, and therefore special attention should be paid to this component. Keywords: legal education, a lawyer, modern approaches, educational process, lawyers’ training, distance education, foreign language, legal clinic

The vector of competence approach in professional formation of specialists poses to the higher education of Ukraine the question of the quality of future teachers’ preparation, the examination of which should become the professional competencies of the graduate student. The psychological competencies of the teacher require specification of the application of psychological knowledge in relation to a number of interactions that mediate the educational process and activity of a teacher. It is logical for the society to expect that the basic psychological competences of the future teacher should be acquired at the stage of primary professionalization in the educational institution which prepares teachers. Structurally normative psychological training of future teachers is indirectly reflected in the scope of teaching and distribution of teaching hours of psychological disciplines, in their content and structuring in different training courses, the ratio of classroom hours and independent work of the student in the discipline. The purpose of the work is to summarize the educational tendencies in the content of the curricula of psychological training of future teachers in the higher education system. The main results were obtained through the methods of analysis of curricula for the preparation of mathematics teachers of bachelor level in different higher education institutions of Ukraine in the context of: the volume of academic hours of disciplines of psychological cycle and their content representation; studying trends in the ratio of different forms of classroom training and their share in the general and practical training of specialists. The analysis of ten-year curricula and programs of psychological disciplines showed a variety of volumes of study of psychological disciplines, a tendency to decrease its academic hours, a reduction in the number of ECTS credits and reduction of the applied content component of developmental, pedagogical, social psychology and psychological foundations of family life. There is a certain tendency to decrease the quota of classroom study of psychological disciplines and increase the volume of students’ independent work. The lack of approved national professional standard for the teaching profession makes it difficult to include applied psychological disciplines in teacher training plans designed to ensure the formation of professional psychological competencies of future educators.

The epidemic situation in Ukraine in the autumn of 2020 with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic required the continuation of quarantine restrictions and the educational process in almost all higher education institutions in Ukraine went online. The aim of the study was to analyze the psychological aspects of students’ learning in the context of emergency distance learning during the quarantine of the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning satisfaction, and success of adaptation. The data were collected in November 2020 during the second wave of emergency distance learning. The study involved 448 students of higher education institutions aged 18 to 23. The following questionnaires were used for the data collection: the questionnaire of attitude to distance learning (I. Galetska, V. Mushketa), supplemented by the questionnaire of behaviour in the context of distance learning (M. Klimanska, M. Perun), the questionnaire of people's lives in quarantine «Thermometer-COVID» (I. Haletska, M. Klimanska), The academic motivation scale (R.Vallerand, adaptation by O. Zakharko), Patient Health Questionnaire (modules PHQ-9 and GAD-7), The questionnaire on positive and negative affects (OPANA) (M. Klimanska, I. Haletska), short essays by students about their own experiences of the distance learning situation. 33% of students like to study remotely as opposed to 14% of students who are very dissatisfied with distance learning. The vast majority of students, 65,2%, attend classes and 52,1% prepare for seminars no less than before the announcement of distance learning. Students, in general, like the quality of teaching (33,1%) and the organization of education (28,2%), they declare, that now they have more time (41%). At the same time, 34,7% rate the level of education as the worse. 52,1% of students consider too much homework to be a key problem, 41,7% of respondents feel a constant temptation to do other things, 43,5% of students declare the complexity of self-organization and adherence to the regime, at the same time, a significant proportion of students, 21,8% , note that they have no problems with it. As the main positives of distance learning, 79% of students indicate savings of travel time, and travel costs 75,1%. 49,3% of students say that due to distance learning there is much more time for communication with friends, 45,8% - more time for independent work. 37,2% of respondents indicated that for them personally the availability of greater opportunities for сheating (copying) during online testing is a significant positive, and 13,7% do not consider it as an important advantage of distance learning for themselves. Students noted physical discomfort (27%), a great amount of educational tasks (25,7%), the temptation of other things (18%), difficulties in adhering to the regime (11%) as the greatest weaknesses and problems of distance learning. Three types of adaptation to distance learning were identified with the help of cluster analysis: 1) “Adapted” students (33%), show a high level of satisfaction with distance learning and high efficiency of adaptation to new learning conditions; have successfully adapted to the conditions of distance learning and see the benefits of time saving, increasing freedom of movement in it, as well as opportunities for independent learning ; 2) “Disadapted” students (31%) feel dissatisfaction and disadaptation in the situation of distance learning, which are manifested in the lack of academic motivation and ignoring learning, as well as in a higher level of anxiety, depression and negative affect in general; 3) “Frustrated” students (36%), show above average level of satisfaction with distance learning, a high level of activity in preparation for seminars in combination with a high level of academic maladaptation; despite the high level of academic motivation, they have significant difficulties in self-organization, as a result they are feeling constant distress, which is affecting negatively mental and physical health. The results of the study show that distance learning has become a catalyst for the exploration of differences in learning motivation and adaptability of students. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the ergonomic conditions for distance learning, as well as to develop recommendations and trainings for the formation of self-regulation and adaptability for students.

The article analyzes current ideas about the problem of practical training of future specialists in the educational sphere. The content, historical aspect, specificity of active teaching methods in the experience of Ukrainian educators of the past and the present have considered in detail. A special emphasis is put on modern technologies for teaching students. Exceptional attention has been paid to interactive methods and teaching methods in the higher education institutions. The competent use of various active methods of teaching while conducting classes in higher education institutions makes it possible to make the process of mastering theoretical knowledge and the formation of practical skills not only interesting but also more productive. It has been proved that during such classes the level of cognitive activity of the students increases, the acquired knowledge is more flexible, critical thinking develops and the ability to make creative non-standard decisions is formed, future specialists become independent learners. The activity of the teacher is inferior to the activity of the listeners. Thus, it has been concluded that the use of active methods in the educational process of institutions of higher education provides the necessary conditions for the development of creative abilities of students, the desire to improve their own professional level, the formation of professional and personal qualities, the possession of modern educational innovations and their implementation in the educational process of higher education, formation of the ability to navigate new situations, find new approaches to solving professional situations and generalize their own pedagogical experience.
