The limitations of print media such as student books in the effectiveness of their use open opportunities for the integration of supplementary teaching material with the latest information technology to support the achievement of 21st-century skills, one of which is scientific literacy through an E-module. This study aims to develop PBL based science e-modules to improve students science literacy skills. Emodule can be used as an alternative source of practical and contextual learning because it can be used anywhere and the material presented is relevant to real life. This research is research and development, adapting the ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implement and  evaluate). Based on experts judgments and limited testing, of PBL based science e-module and instrument scientific literacy are feasible to apply in science learning to improve scientific literacy. AbstrakKeterbatasan media cetak seperti buku teks pelajaran siswa dalam keefektifan penggunaannya membuka peluang bagi pengintegrasian sebuah suplemen bahan ajar dengan teknologi informasi terkini guna mendukung ketercapaian keterampilan abad 21. Salah satunya adalah literasi sains dengan melalui sebuah E-modul berbasis PBL. E-modul tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif sumber belajar yang praktis dan kontekstual karena dapat digunakan dimana saja dan materi yang disajikan relevan dengan kehidupan nyata.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul IPA berbasis PBL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian pengembangan, mengadaptasi model ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implement dan  evaluate). Penelitian ini dilakukan sampai tahap development. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan uji coba terbatas, e-modul IPA berbasis problem-based learning dan soal literasi sains layak untuk digunakan diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains.

Scientific literacy skill is a key factor for overcoming real-life problems, but scientific literacy learning in schools has not been well trained. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in improving students scientific literacy skills and scientific attitudes. This research was part of research and development, with the Dick & Carey model. The research trial used one group pre-test and post-test design on 29 students of  XI IPA 1 class in SMAN 5 Banjarmasin. The instruments of data collection were a scientific literacy test and scientific attitude questionnaires. Data were analyzed by the n-gain equation. The results showed that the n-gain score of students scientific literacy and scientific attitudes were 0.55 and 0.57; it means the increase was in moderate criteria. Therefore, PBL is effective to improve students scientific literacy skills and scientific attitudes.

Science learning in Indonesia has not succeeded in increasing scientific literacy skills, as indicated by the decreasing international ranking from year to year. One of the efforts made to improve scientific literacy is using Android-based learning media. This study aims to analyze the need for the development of instructional media to improve students' scientific literacy at MTs Al Uswah Bergas Semarang Regency. This type of research is a descriptive study that is to describes the current situation. The data instruments used were interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The results of the research on the analysis of the needs for learning media based on android showed that 38% of the 80 students, namely 30 students agreed to develop Android-based learning media, while 29% of the students showed disagreement, 21% strongly agreed, and 12% strongly disagreed. There are aspects of literacy then students including; literacy as mastery of science as knowledge was 63%, 66% as a way of thinking, 62% of scientific literacy as a way of learning, 62% of the aspects of mastery of the competence of the interaction of science, technology, and society. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the development of Android-based mobile learning media to improve students' scientific literacy

Local wisdom-oriented learning in elementary schools in the city of Ternate has not been implemented optimally. In general, schools have implemented thematic learning that should contain local wisdom. Ethnopedagogy is the actualization of learning oriented to the cultivation of local wisdom values. Ethnopedagogic aproach in elementary schools need to be implemented through strategies and innovative learning media that are able to attract students' attention to understand and apply local wisdom. This study aims to integrate Cloves as an identity flora in North Maluku in the implementation of an ethnopedagogic aproach at elementary schools in Ternate. This study uses a qualitative approach with a mixed method of research instruments consisting of observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis technique with concurrent triangulation strategy. The results showed that the ethnopedagogical approach implemented through learning activities using cloves as a spice study object in North Maluku was an effective alternative to local wisdom-based learning applied in elementary schools in Ternate city. Through the integration of cloves in an ethnopedagogical approach, it can improve scientific literacy skills and students' learning motivation. This study recommends that the ethnopedagogical approach can be implemented with innovative learning activities based on local wisdom.

This research is motivated by efforts to improve scientific literacy skills and build the skills of 21st century students by developing the concept of Android-based science learning devices. Learning device are developed so that students can learn independently, quickly, practically, not limited by time and space, and students are ready to compete in the global world. This study aims to describe the feasibility of developing Android-based science learning tools for college students. This device was developed with a 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The tools developed are: RPP, e-book, LKM and evaluation tools. The research subjects were college UNIROW students who took the Science Concept 2018/2019 course. Collecting data using questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. From the results of the validation and test results, it can be concluded that the learning tools developed are categorized as good, valid and suitable for use in learning.

Abstrak Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD serta menganalisis respon peserta didik dan efektifitas penggunaannya LKPD sebagai salah satu perangkat pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yakni penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model 4-D yang terdiri dari define, desain, development, dan disseminate. Pengumpulan data didapatkan dari hasil validasi kelayakan, pretest dan posttest, serta respon peserta didik. Hasil analisis yang sudah dilakukan materi dalam LKPD dinyatakan layak begitu pula dengan kelayakan kegrafikan dan kelayakan bahasa. Berdasarkan angket respons siswa, tingkat respons yang didapat adalah sebesar 81%. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar naik menjadi 76% dengan hasil N-Gain sebesar 0,7. Hal tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa pengembangan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning pada Kompetensi Dasar Perdagangan Internasional dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis dan layak digunakan. Abstract This study aims to develop LKPD and analyse student responses and the effectiveness of using LKPD as a learning tool. The type of research used in this study is research and development (R&D) using a 4-D model consisting of define, design, development, and disseminate. Data collection was obtained from the results of validation of eligibility, pretest and posttest, and students' responses. The results of the analysis that have been done by the material in LKPD are declared to be feasible as well as the feasibility of graphic and language feasibility. Based on the student response questionnaire, the response rate obtained was 81%. Based on the results of student trials reaching mastery learning rose to 76% with an N-Gain result of 0.7. This shows that the development of LKPD based on Problem Based Learning in Basic International Trade Competencies can improve critical thinking and is appropriate for use.

One of the factors of the low scientific literacy of students is influenced by the learning model used during the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning (PBL) model using vee diagrams on environmental pollution material on students' scientific literacy skills. The sample consisted of 68 students, consisting of class VII 1 and VII 3 who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained from test questions and response questionnaires, the data were analyzed using the independent sample t-test. The results showed the average N-gain of science literacy abilities of students in the experimental class (0.48 ± 0.16) with "moderate" criteria and the control class (0.23 ± 0.13) with "low" criteria. This shows that learning using the PBL model using vee diagrams has a better effect on increasing students' scientific literacy skills. The results of the questionnaire response analysis had an average percentage was 88.8%.Keywords: Science literacy, problem based learning, vee diagram

This study aims to obtain information on product validation of science literacy-based science magazines in science learning about global warming in class VII and to describe students’ responses to science magazines based on scientific literacy in science learning on the subject of global warming in class VII. This study uses an R&D (Research & Development) development approach with the Hannafin and Peck model which has three learning designs, namely needs analysis (needs assess), design (design), development/ implementation (develop/ implement). The result showed that science literacy-based science magazine teaching materials based on the assessment of material experts met the validation criteria of 95%, media experts met the validation criteria of 86,15%, and student responses stated that they were interesting 87,11%, so that the teaching materials developed met the criteria valid and attractive criteria.

The development model used is Research & Development which adopts the Lee & Owens development model. The product to be developed is E-LKPD using 3D Pageflip Professional software. 1. The procedure for developing E-LKPD with the PBL-STEM approach in improving scientific literacy skills on the reaction rate material for students. The research procedure consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Research results (1) The analysis includes media analysis, student characteristics analysis, technology analysis, situation analysis, and data analysis. (2) Design includes determining the development team, compiling a development schedule, making flowcharts and making storyboards. (3) Development includes making a product which is then validated by a team of experts until it is validated. (4) Implementation, at this stage a product assessment is carried out by 2 chemistry teachers to see the agreement between the two teachers on the product developed through the kappa test, one-on-one trial with 2 groups of respondents consisting of 3 students in each group, small group trial with two groups of respondents carried out at MAN 2 Jambi City. This trial is not conducted face-to-face, but online (5) Evaluation, which is carried out at each stage is ongoing. The conclusion in this study is that the E-LKPD development procedure is in accordance with the 5 stages of the Lee & Owens development model. Keywords: E-LKPD, PBL-STEM, Science literacy skills

The learning process of science requires teaching which gives students the opportunity to be active in direct experience learning and thinking about the problems in real-life. However, science learning method that is widely used so far only conventionally, so it has not accommodated students in providing direct experience and solutions to real life problems. In order to realize the science learning that allows students to build their own understanding of real life problems, suitable learning model is needed and one of which is project-based learning. This research was conducted to know the effectiveness of science project-based learning which is integrated with natural potential of Baruppu’ in Junior High School students’ environmental literacy skills. Sample consisted of 50 students in grade VII of SMPN 1 Baruppu’. Quasi-experimental with Non-equivalent Control-Group Design was used to know the effectiveness of learning model in student’s environmental literacy skills: cognitive skill and environmental affect components. The study design consists of two groups: 26 students of class VIIA as experimental group and 24 students of class VIIB as control group. Data collected consisted of scores that measured cognitive skill and scores from environmental affect survey. Data analysed utilizing an independent samples t-test to determine any differences in environmental literacy skills between experimental and control groups after treatment. The result showed that the science project-based learning which is integrated with natural potential of Baruppu’ was effective to promoted student’s environmental literacy skills.
