Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Manajemen Perpustakaan Sekolah Berbasis Teknologi Informasi

Complex issues in school libraries are very diverse, from human resources, budget funds, book procurement, the technology system used is something that deserves attention, because the purpose of the school library is as a learning center, and information, as a learning resource center means that the school must try and clean up to present the latest collections, informative and according to the needs of the school. The school library has a very important role in the success of education. Therefore, school library facilities need attention. One of the facilities that help librarian activities is information technology-based library management. With library management, all library activities can run according to good library standards. Also, students can more easily and freely take advantage of the library collections in it. Information technology-based library management is activities that aim to assist library managers, the school, in creating libraries that comply with the standards set by the National Library. The activities carried out include (a) Providing information about how to manage library services, especially the Tsanawiyah library in Probolinggo Regency. (b) Providing knowledge on the procedures for managing the library at the Information Technology-based Tsanawiyah Library 2. (c) Instilling skills in Tsanawiyah library managers while studying. MTsN 2 Malang is under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion, course it must also have a good library, well managed, and course there is a role for the teaching staff in the library department to make the library the heart of information and the heart of education.

AbstractA combination of experts’ idea-generating, dignitaries in librarianship, and decision makers’ concerns at the level of Government should have been made capable of realizing libraries as the facilitator of teaching-learnig process with promising outcomes. Bright learners by way of efforts made in terms of an ever enhanced curriculum should have been developing to sophisticated personalities and geared towards humans with qualities. What has gone in practice proves to be swerving to some extent in that some sort of comprehensive model of running library services is due needed: a standing structure built in the middle of the scholl; collections including books, non-books, digital; and truly Librarian (i.e. main manager of the intellectual asset). Any most interesting activities possible need to be created to make library an area of “play” being the goal of a means to accelerating a reading habit especially among children in their early age. Kenyataan di lapangan saat ini memerlukan suatu model menyeluruh penyelenggaraan perpustakaan: gedung yang berdiri tegap ditengah-tengah sekolah; koleksi buku, non-buku, digital; dan Pustakawan (baca: pengelola utama aset intelektual) seutuhnya. Kegiatan-kegiatan menarik harus dikreasikan untuk menjadikan perpustakaan sebagai area “bermain” yang dimaksudkan sebagai ajang penumbuhan minat baca terutama pembelajar usia dini. The existence of a school library is a must. Based on the National Education Standards, eachschool is required to have a library. In its management, the library must be managed byappropriate management personnel and competent in their fields. In line with thedevelopment of science and technology that continues to develop school libraries need to bemanaged and utilized for the benefit of education through an appropriate forum, namely theschool library. Descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Collecting datathrough observation, interviews and document analysis. Subjects in this study were schoolprincipals, library heads, library staff, visitors, events, facts, documents and various forms ofefforts, school library programs or activities. The object in this study is the development of aschool library based on information technology carried out in SMAN 2 and SMA 3 KotaPadang. The results showed that the factors influencing the development of information technology-based school libraries in State High School 2 and State 3 High School in PadangCity could be identified into four, namely human resources, information resources, funding,and infrastructure in the school library.

Provides an overview on the significance of studying information seeking behavior of children to enhance the role of school libraries. The literature on children's information seeking behavior is reviewed and integrated into the perspective of school library services. The school library is an institution that acts as a center for information, educational activities, research, recreation for school residents. In supporting this role, school libraries must strive to provide excellent services according to the applicable national library standards. To realize a standardized library, the school library must conduct an assessment through library accreditation. With hope, an accredited library will provide services in accordance with the needs of users. However, awareness of school library accreditation in Riau Province is still very low. This is proven by the number of accredited school libraries that have not reached 1% of the total 1,391 school libraries in Riau Province. This has led to the holding of training and assistance related to school library accreditation for library managers or librarians of SMKN 7 Pekanbaru. The method used in this activity is to conduct training and assistance in preparing accreditation forms and preparing school library accreditation forms. The activity was delivered by means of, interactive discussion, assistance and evaluation using the checklist, pretest and posttest methods.

This article aims to find out how school libraries is managed based on the literature review from previous research from several countries around the world. This article uses search and review methods, where the review process began with a search engine, Google scholar and IEEE, to search the articles with keywords. The authors found the scope of the reviewed articles was still very limited so it needs to be followed up related to school turnover management research. Result of the review show that libraries can run optimally if they apply good management. The research about this topic is limited and this article is a literature review; so further research needs to be done related to school library management in general and to include other data collection methods including interview and questionnaire. The theoretical benefit of this article is to add knowledge about educational library management and the practical benefit is as an information for further research.

The school library is the center for collecting, organizing and using information resources, and is therefore an indispensable part of school teaching activities. Teachers could better choose teaching materials, develop curriculum, and evaluate programs with school librarian support. Library literatures show that teacher and media specialist collaboration can effectively enhance student learning. This study investigates the ideal school library media center model in Taipei. Using Document analysis, website visitation, and in-depth interviews to collect data. Nine cases are chosen for study. Findings show that teaching support services provided in most cases come under the “coordination” and “cooperation” stage, according to the Pollard and Montiel-Overall taxonomy framework, and very few senior high school libraries provide “collaboration” stage services. This study discusses difficulties encountered in library management and successful factors of promoting teaching support services to a further stage, as well as innovative services. Finally, suggestions are made for future consideration.

Research purposes is identify, analyze and describe the influence of libraries on the Student Center Learning based learning system at Hasanuddin University. This research is quantitative. The research samples students and lecturers of Hasanuddin University who took advantage of all library services. Respondents were determined using the accidental sampling method, namely whoever comes to use the library when the researcher is doing research and 50 samples from various study programs. Data collection by distributing questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using the spss program. The research results show that the UPT Hasanuddin University Library at collections, information technology and services are very important, because they support the implementation of learning activities, especially the application of learning methods based on the student center learning system. The library is a center for information sources and science has a function as a teaching facility or facility in meeting the needs of lecturers and students for information. However, the components of collections and information technology based on the research results have no effect. Library collections in universities are very important and must be considered. Good collection is a collection that is complete, adequate, relevant, and updated.Information technology is important, because information technology is a medium for library management activities and automatic dissemination of information. The use of technology can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of library management activities and further provide convenience and efficiency for users to find information sources.

PurposeSchool library is regarded as the heart and soul of the school. It acts as learning resource centre and support the school curriculum in all possible manners. The main aim of this paper is to document the factors associated with library management in selected school libraries in Varanasi, India.Design/methodology/approachSurvey method is used to conduct this research in which close-ended questions were provided to the school librarians. Simple random sampling was used to collect samples from secondary schools of Varanasi.FindingsIt was found that 34% school libraries affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education are managed properly and they are termed as first class library. Rest of the schools are not managed as per rules and regulations of school librarianship. Some librarians themselves are not properly aware of the significance of the library and hence the management is suffered accordingly.Practical implicationsThis research will help in exploring the existing status of library management in school libraries. The work is designed specifically for school libraries. Simple ranking system for school libraries will be helpful to make an exhaustive school ranking based on library management.Originality/valueThis research will bring on record the ground reality of school librarianship in India and the way they are managed. Simple ranking system for school library is given in this paper that will help to find out which school library is functioning properly or not.

Abstract The title of this research is The influence of school library management on reading interest of students in economic subject at SMA N.1 Nort Indralaya. The purpose of this research is to prove the influence of library management on reading interest of students in economic subject at SMA N.1 North Indralaya. The population of this research is all of XI IPS class at SMA N.1 North Indralaya. For sampling research used Cluster Random Sampling and selected XI IPS 1 class with 29 students. The data were collected by questionnaire and observation techniques. The result of this research showed that the school library management included good criteria. This is looking from the observation result of six assessment aspects are library collection, facilities & infrastructures, library services, library worker, and implementation & management. The data analysis used percentage formula with the result 85% with good criteria. Besides that, the data analysis of questionnaire used simple linear regression test obtained Fhitung bigger than Ftabel is 7,16?4,21so that, Ho rejected and Ha accepted, it’s mean that there is influences in economic subject. The suggestion for library managers should be improve the collect management, library facilities, and human resource management to increase the students interested on reading class, especially for economic subject. Abstrak Penelitian ini berjudul pengaruh manajemen perpustakaan sekolah terhadap minat baca peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh manajemen perpustakaan sekolah terhadap minat baca peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan cluster random sampling, terpilih kelas XI IPS1 dengan jumlah 29 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen perpustakaan sekolah dengan kriteria baik. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil observasi dengan keenam aspek penilaian yaitu koleksi perpustakaan, sarana dan prasarana, pelayanan perpustakaan, tenaga perpustakaan, penyelenggaraan dan pengelolaan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan persentase, sehingga di dapat rerata 85% dengan kriteria baik. Sedangkan untuk hasil angket teknik analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana didapat Fhitung lebih besar dari Ftabel yaitu 7,16?4,21 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya terdapat pengaruh manajemen perpustakaan sekolah terhadap minat baca peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Disarankan pengelola perpustakaan harus meningkatkan manajemen perpustakaan sekolah baik dari manajemen koleksinya, fasilitas perpustakaan, maupun manajemen sumber daya manusianya agar dapat meningkatkan minat baca peserta didik khususnya pada mata pelajaran ekonomi.
