Then, polytechnic students have collaboration learning in their English classroom activity which is useful for their soft skills achivements. However, the students which have different level can have different perceptions on it. This research tries to compare students’ perceptions on their soft skills acquirement in the use of collaborative learning in English classroom in a state polytechnic. The first group is the freshmen, meanwhile the second group is the third grade students of Diploma 3. The study employs a qualitative research design, which is a case study. The data are gained from questionnaire, then observation and interviews are used to triangulate the data. The findings show that the freshmen perceive that they acquire soft skills in 90.9%, meanwhile the third graders are in 84.9%. This concludes that freshmen soft skills acquirement is higher than the third graders. It is recommended that collaborative learning method should be continued to develop the students’ soft skills, and the type of collaborative learning should be more appropriate for different grades of students.

This research is conducted due to by the ongoing occurrence of the students’ low conceptual understanding in the mathematical fraction. The students perceived that mathematical fraction is difficult to understand because the use of learning models is not appropriate in the learning process. This study aims to improve the conceptual understanding of class III students through the application of the Kumon model. The method used in this study is a Class Action Research method by adopting the Kemmis Mc Taggart Model. This research was carried out in three cycles including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 21 students in the third-grade consisting of 17 men and 4women. The researchers employed formative test in each cycle and conducted observation towards the teacher and the students as the data collection technique. The results of the average completeness of student learning through formative tests in cycle I was 69.62 (48%), cycle II was 77.71 (71%), and cycle III was 84.67 (100%). The results of the observation on teacher in each cycle were cycle I was 2.7 (enough), cycle II was 3.2 (good) and cycle III was 4.4 (very good). The results of the observation on students in each cycle were cycle I was 2.6 (enough), cycle II was 3.0 (good) and cycle III was 3.9 (very good). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Kumon model can improve the conceptual understanding of third-grade students of Majalengka Kulon VII Elementary School, academic year of 2016/2017, in Majalengka District, Majalengka Regency.

The Use of Snowballing Technique to Learn Applying Vocabulary After the Pandemic. This research is aimed at finding out the effectiveness of using snowballing technique to learn applying vocabulary at the third grade students of SMAN 1 Batulayar in academic year 2020/2021. This research is an experimental research with quasi experimental and category of this research is non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research is the third grade students of SMAN 1 Batulayar consist of 62 students. The instrument that will be used to collect the data is test consists of post-test. The data will be analysed by using statistical formula of t-test.The result of data analysis showed that the value of t-test was 4.39 and t-table 2.00. The value of t-testis higher than t-table in significance level0.05 and degree of freedom 62-2. It meant that t-critical value was significant fot this confidence level. Then, alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepeted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It could be concluded that there was an effect of using snowballing technique to teach vocabulary at the third grade students of SMAN 1 Batulayar in Academic year 2021/2022.

This study aims to determine the difference of the students’ mathematics achievementbetween the students who are taught with student facilitator and explaining (SFAE) learning model based on Tri Kaya Parisudhaand those are taught with conventional learning in third-grade students of Gugus IV Gerokgak, Bulelengregency in academic year 2017/2018. The design of this study was quasi experimentalwith posttest only control group design. The population of this study was all the third-grade students of Gugus IV, Gerokgak which were 186 students. The sample of this study was the third-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Gerokgak with 34 students as experimental group and the third-grade students of SD Negeri 3 Gerokgak with 40 students as control group. Data collection was obtained by using objective test method. The data were analyzed by using T-test. The result of this study wasthitung = 7,38 with the significant level 55 and dk = 72 with ttabel= 1.99 so thitung = 7,38>ttabel = 1,99. Based on the test criteria, then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The average score of mathematics learning achievement in the experimental group was 14.71, while the average score for the control group was 11.2. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that there was a significant effect toward the students’ mathematics achievementbetween the students who are taught with Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) learning model based on Tri Kaya Parisudha and those are taught with conventional learning in third grade students of Gugus IV Gerokgak, Bulelengregency in academic year 2017/2018.
