The digital era has changed the perspective of education that now employs e-learning, so it must adjust the methods and virtual tools to apply an adequate evaluation. This review article arises from the need to know these tools that have been applied in educational institutions. A search for information was conducted in journals indexed in the Scopus, SciELO and Redalyc databases; 139 articles were found, of which 20 were selected that met inclusion and exclusion criteria. The literature analyzed showed the identification and implementation of evaluation tools for educational institutions. In sum, there is little literature on digital tools applied to continuous or formative assessment in educational institutions in Latin America; however, the researchpresents to the scientific community different ways to assess students through digital tools.

The learning model in the digital era has changed from traditional face-to-face learning to online learning. This causes stuttering and uncertainty for educational institutions, including the State Islamic Religious University (PTKIN), especially the readiness of lecturers. Each lecturer has different models, strategies and learning media in managing the class according to their understanding and ability in online learning. This study aims to see the readiness of PTKIN lecturers for online learning through MOOCs media with a heutagogy approach using the e-learning system at their respective universities.The quantitative research method uses 5 elements of heutagogy and 1 element of MOOCs with 52 sampling data on PTKIN lecturers.The results show that lecturers have competence and readiness in using online learning technology, but there are weaknesses in lecturers' understanding in using the heutagogy approach in learning.

The article considers the issue of school digitalization as an important condition for improving the quality of education. The e-learning environment provides students with greater independence. A necessary condition for improving the education system is the creation of new teacher competencies necessary for the digital economy.

COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly disrupted the well-established, traditional structure of medical education. Τhe new limitations of physical presence have accelerated the development of an online learning environment, comprising both of asynchronous and synchronous distance education, and the introduction of novel ways of student assessment. At the same time, this prolonged crisis had serious implications on the lives of medical students including their psychological well-being and the impact on their academic trajectories. The new reality has, on many occasions, triggered the ‘acting up’ of medical students as frontline healthcare staff, which has been perceived by many of them as a positive learning and contributing experience, and has led to a variety of responses from the educational institutions. All things considered, the urgency for rapid and novel adaptations to the new circumstances has functioned as a springboard for remarkable innovations in medical education,including the promotion of a more “evidence-based” approach.

Today, education is influenced by many factors. Educational institutions face budget cuts, outdated information technology, data security management, and a push to integrate distance learning. Virtualization technologies offer innovative solutions to the problems that arise in this direction. In particular, the extensive use of virtualization in implementing remote and traditional teaching with the use of various e-learning materials, digital learning resources, educational portals, websites, cloud-based technologies. The article presents the directions of the organization of the original educational infrastructure with the use of virtualization technologies implemented by the university in the educational process. This infrastructure provides students and university staff with access to virtual workstations and applications over the Internet, both for working in computer labs at the university and for extracurricular work. Virtualization technologies that characterize the infrastructure functions are presented, which reflect the advantages of this direction, and the final results of research experiments conducted to identify infrastructure problems are presented.

Due to the situation caused by the coronavirus COVID-19, educational institutions were forced to switch to a mode of distance interaction with students. The proposed material presents the range of digital tools successfully used by the teacher during the period of distance learning, as well as proposed for use in the traditional learning mode in the perspective of the use of blended learning technology. Among the tools, attention is paid primarily to educational platforms, portals, electronic notebooks, services for creating interactive exercises, quests, quizzes, and video sessions. Several variants of virtual whiteboards are offered for use, and attention is also drawn to the possibility and feasibility of using MOOC in school. As examples, the methodological techniques implemented in the lessons during the distance in the Zoom communication program are given. The use of digital tools in school education allows you to create, implement and distribute new methods of teaching and working with children, improve educational approaches, and further combine the possibilities of online and offline learning. The article will be relevant for practicing teachers and researchers whose interests lie in the field of digitalization of education.

<p>E-learning has become an increasingly important teaching and learning mode in educational institutions and corporate training. The evaluation of e-learning, however, is essential for the quality assurance of e-learning courses. This paper constructs a four-phase evaluation model for e-learning courses, which includes planning, development, process, and product evaluation, called the PDPP evaluation model. Planning evaluation includes market demand, feasibility, target student group, course objectives, and finance. Development evaluation includes instructional design, course material design, course Web site design, flexibility, student-student interaction, teacher/tutor support, technical support, and assessment. Process evaluation includes technical support, Web site utilization, learning interaction, learning evaluation, learning support, and flexibility. Product evaluation includes student satisfaction, teaching effectiveness, learning effectiveness, and sustainability. Using the PDPP model as a research framework, a purely e-learning course on Research Methods in Distance Education, developed by the School of Professional and Continuing Education at the University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE) and jointly offered with the School of Distance Learning for Medical Education of Peking University (SDLME, PKU) was used as a case study. Sixty students from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Malaysia were recruited for this course. According to summative evaluation through a student e-learning experience survey, the majority of students were very satisfied/satisfied on all e-learning dimensions of this course. The majority of students thought that the learning effectiveness of this course was equivalent, even better, than face-to-face learning because of cross-border collaborative learning, student-centred learning, sufficient learning support, and learning flexibility. This study shows that a high quality of teaching and learning might be assured by using the systematic PDPP evaluation procedure. <p class="3">This literature review seeks to outline the state of the art regarding collaboration between educational institutions on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) launched in Europe and in the US for the past 10 years. The review explores enablers and barriers that influence national institutional MOOC collaboration, and looks into how existing knowledge about institutional collaboration on e-learning can be used in MOOC collaboration. The review is based on a literature search in databases and on snowballing techniques. It concludes that collaboration on MOOCs can be advantageous in terms of ensuring quality and innovation in the common learning designs, and that—in order to succeed—such projects need strategic and institutional support from all partners involved. Moreover, the review points out barriers concerning the reluctance of individual institutions to engage in national collaboration due to fear of potential loss of their own national branding and the teachers’ hesitancy or passive resistance to new educational platforms and formats.</p>
