Multi-criteria evaluation studies in the tourism field have gained importance in recent times due to the Covid19 pandemic that has presented challenges and new social, cultural and lifestyle changes in today's society. Therefore, in this context, the CME helps tourism planners and managers to have a clearer vision to make decisions in the prioritization and production of products that help to energize the local economy based on the tourist attractions with the greatest potential. The objective of the study is to inform planners, which tourist attractions have the greatest potential in the canton of Puyango. The research becomes strategic for the canton since the results determine that the petrified forest of Puyango, the 8-sphere clock of the San Jacinto church, the sphinx of the Lord of Giron and the Alma Lojana Gourmet coffee are in the top four positions that are strategic to develop efforts in tourism.

The accelerated development and expansion of cultural tourism in areas with unique tourist objectives, characterised by a high degree of risk in terms of their physical and chemical integrity, requires sustained efforts by all stakeholders to identify new methods, techniques, and procedures for their conservation, protection, and capitalisation, with respect to tourism. The aim of this study was to propose an optimal methodology for capitalising on tourism related to wooden churches, regarded as a structural item of tangible cultural heritage, with positive effects on the protection, conservation, information, and awareness of all stakeholders in tourism development. This involved the development of a web portal, in which were integrated the 3D models related to the analysed objects, the panoramic images inside them, the audio support, the photographs, and the accompanying text necessary to create and render a virtual reality (VR) production for purposes of virtual tourism (VT). The results obtained consisted of the creation of the website Bihor360°, which is freely navigable and whose content, including both textual and graphic information, can be easily accessed by all interested users. The aim involved was to release an online bridge for potential visitors to the fragile tourist attractions, facilitating the development of active knowledge and VR while raising awareness among the population and the local authorities about the role and the importance of the wooden churches in tourism and the local economy.

This research is conducted to determine the behavior and motivation of foreign students traveling in Bali, especially those studying at Udayana University. Samples taken are foreign students who join short semesters in the GoBali International Program, IBSN and BIPAS. This research is important since foreign student market is being underestimated because it is considered to have low purchasing power, however tourism stakeholders seem to forget that they spend more time in the place where they study. By staying longer in Bali, there are two benefits to be gained. The first benefit is to support the local economy, because these foreign students stay for 20 weeks, it means they will rent a place to live, transport and spend their money. The second benefit is that foreign students will most likely explore places that hold the potential to become tourist attractions in the future. Indirectly, this foreign student will help stakeholders in tourism in identifying appropriate places to be made as tourist destinations. The methodology used to obtain data is preceded by a focus group to identify what factors need to be explored more in relation to their behavior and motivations in Bali. Then, after the factors are obtained, data collection through questionnaires is conducted to then use factor analysis, cluster analysis and compile the highest average values based on cluster groups, so that answers will be obtained on the degree of interests and behavioral tendencies of foreign students traveling in Bali. Keywords: foreign students, behavior, motivation, travel, short semester, udayana.

Tourism represents one of the economic sectors with major implications in the sustainable development of the mountain areas. The tourists’ perception regarding the image of the tourist destinations is a key requirement that all the stakeholders in tourism have to take into account, due to its major role in shaping and directing the tourist flows and in the development of local communities, by extension. In terms of methodology, the questionnaire method was used in this study, with a face-to-face implementation technique. Among others, the questionnaire had targeted the degree of knowledge concerning Bihor Mountain destination, the tourist consumer habits and the tourists’ perception related to the quality-price ratio because of tourist consumption. The results show that most of the respondents have stated that they have not visited Bihor Mountain Tourist Destination for the first time, coming back here even several times a year because of its multiple tourist attractions and the extremely convenient quality-price ratio. All these show a positive perception of the majority of tourists regarding the visited destination, being materialised in an increased flow of visitors and the beneficial effects on the local economy and the preservation of the mountain areas.

“Frontier tourism” or tourisme de partage is a genuine typology of tourism which has these four features: space (geographic), time (historic), experience (motivations and behaviours) and sharing cultural heritage (material or immaterial). The border lands of Alto Vinalopó (Alicante-Spain) have a paradoxical and dual element in the sense that they operate as a territory with common customs and traditions which share many similarities with other territories, but at the same time they show a number of contrasts and peculiarities. Reorganized now as potential tourist attractions, these deep-rooted ethnographic displays are becoming consumable products, which are struggling to find a differential position in the leisure business. This article is aimed at illustrating this process, analysing its sociocultural, economic and promotional variables by considering a particular event: the Moors and Christians festival in Villena. These ancient celebrations convey their own values and signs of identity which have also served to stimulate and diversify the local economy. Besides, after being officially declared in 2015 a national tourist attraction, with the “4th September, All Mad” campaign, this festival has generated challenges, uncertainties and opportunities for tourist development which will demand the right creative strategies and economic management to succeed.
