ABSTRACT The purpose of the study was to explore challenges of Virtual Instruction during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Accounting Classrooms. A qualitative research approach and a case study design was used. 10 Accounting teachers were purposively selected. Thematic data analysis was used. The study shows challenges of virtual classroom like lack of teacher readiness, and ready infrastructure to support the virtual learning. The study concludes that rural schools and those that are in semi-urban areas needs to be priorities when technology resources are distributed. Teachers who are in rural and semi-urban areas needs to be up-skilled with technological skills. The study recommends that Network companies should partner with education sector in order to supply data, connectivity, and accessibility by zero- rising then to support virtual classroom learning. After the COVID-19 all teachers should be encouraged to attend various forms of online workshops in order to improve their understanding of online teaching.

The discussion in this research is divorce outside the court according to the study of Islamic law in Desa Lariang Kecamatan Tikke Raya Kabupaten Pasangkayu. The basis for this research is that divorce outside the court is contrary to the laws enacted in Indonesia, namely: Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage and Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 1991 concerning Compilation of Islamic Law.So that the research will use a qualitative research approach, with the research design used is a single case study design in research. According to a review of Islamic law, divorce that occurs outside the court in Lariang Village is legal. However, when viewed in Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage and Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 1991 concerning Compilation of Islamic Law (positive Islamic law) this is invalid.

The objective of the study was to examine the marketing strategies of Ethiopian medium and large textile companies. The textile sector became the focus of this study because the sector has performed far below than expected, despite the government‘s continued support to and the country‘s comparative advantage in the sector. To attain the stated objective, qualitative research approach with case study design was employed. The case companies were selected based on two criteria; production of finished textile products and operation in both local and global markets. Accordingly, nine companies qualified these criteria and all of them were used as cases. The RBT was the theory employed to explain the differences in performances among firms’ in similar environment. Furthermore, within and cross case analyses were employed to get in-depth understanding about the marketing strategies of the case companies.

ABSTRACT This study sought to explore teaching and learning of accounting: in-service educators’ experiences in the context of a South African University. The study employs a qualitative research approach using a case study design. Ten accounting teachers were purposively selected. The findings revealed that accounting resources used for teaching and learning of accounting were not related to an accountancy education. Also, some accounting lecturers at university were found to be unprofessional and not committed to their work, with many using local languages when teaching. The authors recommend that new accounting lecturers at the South African university be mentored by their senior counterparts. Until the situation improves, students should be encouraged to voice their dissatisfaction with what happens in the lecture halls.

The main purpose of this article is to examine the absence of political security and its consequences on state security of Ethiopia. The study was conducted through case study design and used qualitative research approach, and key informant interview was held. The main finding of the article is that in Ethiopia there is a prevalence of political insecurity which is committed by government officials via security sectors and which has led to the existence of mistrust on security sectors, the expansion of mob justice and the existences of social insecurity in the state.

This study assesses the level of achievement of the information society through the implementation of the program KIM. KIM is the Kelompok Informasi Masyarakat which is a program of the Indonesian government to seek the realization of the information society in Indonesia. KIM is designed as a group formed independently so that the development will be an independent community group. The purpose of this study was to see how the achievement of the information society through the implementation of the program is reviewed KIM. So as to provide input to the government related to how the achievement of the information society and also related input KIM program. With a qualitative research approach, the method used in this research is a case study. The case studies carried out in two different areas of the rural areas and urban areas in East Java. Based on the results obtained, that the condition of the people is still far from the realization of the information society. The condition of society is still at the level of society aware of the information, even in rural areas there are still many people who are less aware of the information. It is caused by the KIM program implementation is still less than the maximum. There are many obstacles, so that the KIM program requires evaluation to achieve program objectives which is to make the people of Indonesia as an information society.

ABSTRACT The World Health Organisation declared coronavirus as a pandemic. The whole world is facing many challenges and this has an exponential effect on our lives, most essentially teaching and learning. Before the advent of COVID 19, there was a request in the education and other sectors within the country to embrace the use of sophisticated ICT facilities as a result of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR). The paper discusses the effect, prospect, and challenges of virtual classrooms during the pandemic. This paper employs a qualitative research approach of the interpretivism paradigm using a case study design. 8 students and 4 lecturers were purposively selected for this paper. Thematic data analysis was used. The paper revealed some challenges and prospects of virtual classrooms. The paper recommends that lecturers and students should face the realities and embrace the changes that this pandemic has brought to us since the world is going digital.

This paper discusses the challenges of records management that arise from the use of adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, despite the advantages of using such buildings. A qualitative research approach was used as well as a case study research design. Data were collected from seven officers of the Gweru Records Centre through semi-structured interviews. Personal observation was used to triangulate findings from interviews. It was found that the use of adapted buildings as records centres was a cheaper and quicker way of establishing records centres throughout the country. However, a number of preservation, security and management challenges cropped up as the conditions of the buildings and the environment of the adapted buildings were not conducive to the proper and professional management of records. This study is important in that it explores the prospects and challenges of using adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, an area that has not been researched by many authors. This provokes archival authorities and the government to seriously consider establishing purpose-built records and archival centres.


Research problem introduction. The main research goal of this paper is to provide the urban geosystem research concept with both the theoretical basics presentation of GIS involvement in urban studies, and with examples of its practical applications. An urbogeosystem (UGS) has been presented not as a simple aggregate of cities, but as the emergent entity that produced complicated interconnections and interdependencies among its constituents. By the urbogeosystem concept the authors attempt to introduce a reliable research approach that has been deliberately developed to identify the nature and spatial peculiarities of the urbanization process in a given area. The exigency of this concept elaboration is listed by the number of needs and illustrated with ordinary 2D digital city cadaster limitations. The methodological background has been proposed, and its derivative applied solutions meet the number of necessities for more efficient urban mapping, city understanding, and municipal mana-gement. The geoinformation concept of the urban geographic system research. External and internal urbogeosystems. The authors explain why an UGS can be formalized as three major components: an aggregate of point features, a set of lines, an aggregate of areal features. The external UGS represents a set of cities, the internal one – a set of delineated areas within one urban territory. Algorithmic sequence of the urbogeosystem study with a GIS. The authors introduce algorithmic sequence of research provision with GIS, in which the LiDAR data processing block has been examined in the details with the procedure of the automated feature extraction explanation. Relevant software user interface sample of the visualization of the urban modeled feature attributes is provided. A case study of the external urbogeosystem. The regional case study of the external urbogeosystem modeling is introduced with GIS MapInfo Professional. The authors present the spatial econometric analysis for commuting study directed to a regional workforce market. The results of the external UGS research mainly correspond to some published social economic regularities in the area, but nonetheless it also demonstrates significant deviations that may be explained by this system’s emergent properties. Case studies of the internal urbogeosystem of Kharkiv-City. Two case studies of the internal urbogeosystem of Kharkiv City have been demonstrated, too. In the first one, automated feature extraction provided by the authors’ original software from LiDAR data has been applied for modeling this UGS content throughout a densely built-up urban parcel. In another case the GIS-analysis of the urbogeosystem functional impact on the catering services spatial distribution has been provided with the ArcGIS software. Results and conclusion. Summarizing all primary and derivative data processed with this technique as well as generalizing key ideas discussed in the text, the authors underline this whole methodological approach as such that can be considered as a general outlining showing how to use geoinformation software for the analysis of urban areas. Concluding their research, the authors emphasize that the urbogeosystem concept may be quite useful for visualization and different analysis applied for urban areas, including city planning, facility and other municipal management methods. The short list of the obtained results has been provided at the end of the text.

Writing is a skill that must be mastered by students. These language skills are useful for writing a thesis as a final assignment for students to get a bachelor's degree (master and / or doctorate). In thesis writing, spelling, and sentences used are standard and effective sentences so that readers easily understand the intent of the author. This study aims to describe mistakes in writing spelling, terminology, and writing mistakes in the thesis of UB's Faculty of Arts students. This study uses qualitative research with a case study design to obtain a description of the data. The results of this study reveal that the most common language errors are found, namely spelling errors used by students in the thesis. The spelling mistakes were 52.03% the use of punctuation, 39.53% word writing, and 0.08% letter writing, while sentence writing errors were found in aspects of structural incompatibility, inequality, inaccuracy, incoherence, disparity, and incoherence in the sentence .
