AbstractCharacter education is an effort to improve the quality of process and learning outcomes that lead to the formation of the character of learners by focusing on exemplary, habituation, and the creation of a conducive environment. Aims to inculcate the values of mathematical characters such as honest, democratic, responsible, independent, disciplined, hard work, creative, and curiosity. The character values developed in mathematics learning must still be based on universal values. Integrating character education values can be pursued by the following steps: a) Using cultural values and characters that show the linkage between Core Competence and Basic Competence with values and indicators to determine the value to be developed; b) Include the cultural and character values into the syllabus; c) Include the values listed in the syllabus into the Lesson Plans; d) Develop an active learning process of learners that enable learners to have opportunities to internalize values and demonstrate them in appropriate behaviors; e) Provide assistance to learners, whether it is difficult to internalize the value or to show it in behavior. Therefore it is expected that every student can internalize these values into the behavior of everyday life through the learning process, both in the classroom and outside the classroom. Learning that can internalize these values is contextual learning that helps teachers in motivating students to relate knowledge learned to everyday life. What are the characteristics that can be developed on math subjects ?. And what learning model can be applied to develop math character ?. Using the literature search method, this article presents the integration of character values in mathematics subjects through a contextual learning model.Keyword: Values of Mathematical Characteristics, Contextual Learning.

Value, culture and character education is an effort to improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes that lead to the formation of the character of students who are characterized by national culture. These cultural values and characters are the pride of the nation and make the nation known by other nations as a nation that has a distinctive Indonesian character. Education has a function in developing cultural values and past achievements into a proud element for the present and future life so that it becomes a strong foundation for national character. Value education, culture and national character are important points that must emerge in the learning process in the classroom. Integration of the three in the learning process, especially mathematics learning, is intended as a process of introducing values and culture, facilitating the acquisition of awareness of the importance of values and culture in the behavior of students through daily learning processes that take place both inside and outside the classroom on all math subjects. Thus, mathematics learning activities, in addition to making students master competencies (material taught in mathematics) are targeted, also to make students know, care, and internalize cultural and character values in everyday behavior

This writing aims to make students more active and disciplined in the learning process and can also increase creativity and learning outcomes. The low mathematics learning outcomes are not only due to difficult mathematics, but are caused by several factors which include students themselves, teachers, learning approaches, and learning environments that are interconnected with each other. To improve the ability and results of learning it is necessary to make modifications to the task learning strategy and force. Quantum learning is a tip, a guide, a strategy and an entire learning process that can sharpen understanding and memory, and make learning a pleasant and useful process. Task and Forced Learning Strategies are strategies that focus on giving assignments and a little coercion so that students complete their tasks on time so that the learning process can run effectively. Therefore, the writer modifies the model of quantum learning with task and forced learning strategies, the results of this modification show that learning with quantum learning models with forced and task strategies can improve the learning process so that students become more disciplined in doing tasks, can motivate student learning, and can improve student learning outcomes.

Textbook is one of learning components that plays an important role in determining the success of learning. Textbook as a media and one of main resources in the learning process has a strategic role to be developed to improve the quality of learning and cultivate religiosity of the students. The cultivation of religious characters will be effective, efficient, and interesting if the available textbooks are combined with the Islamic education and characters contents. Those contents will create religious atmosphere and familiarize the students in practising their religiosity in everyday life. In this way, the competency of Islamic education and characters are combined with the competency of other subjects that are packaged in a learning experience. Thus the Islamic values will be formed in students characters.
