The teaching and learning process is the core of education. Everything that has been programmed will be carried out in the teaching and learning process where interaction and involvement is needed between educators and students with materials as the medium. Teaching activities at the strata 1 level involve educators called lecturers and students called students. In general, teaching activities are carried out offline, which involves direct interaction between lecturers and students. At the beginning of 2021, rumors began to appear that there was a global disaster of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, which initially Indonesia considered that the Corona virus was impossible to enter Indonesia. However, the development of the virus is so fast. Indonesia finally announced in early March 2021 as a country experiencing the impact of the global disaster due to the COVID -19 pandemic. Second language learners especially in English language need further language support in view of the fact that they operate on the performance level of language use as against competence. Achieving success in the teaching and learning of a second language such as English is determined by a number of linguistic and nonlinguistic factors such as the attitude and language skills of the learners, the teacher’s innovativeness and competence, effective teaching methods and materials such as visual, audio-visual aids and media aids to language learning. This research is motivated by the problem inherent in the traditional teaching methods which is stereotypical, boring with little active students’ engagement in the learning process, which makes knowledge transfer an arduous task. The research represents a shift in language teaching and learning - from the known traditional to a more technological mode of learning- giving way to new technologies in which the media plays a prominent role. The work adopts a qualitative methodology in assessing the role of the media in language teaching and learning both on the part of the students as well the teacher, especially in terms of self-development and innovations. It was discovered that media aids in language learning, facilitates the overall learning process and helps the teacher to transcend his limitations in areas such as pronunciation, vocabulary to be able to guide the students aright. This makes learning an ongoing process rather than a product.

Purpose The present study examined the impact of environmental factors (socioeconomic status [SES], the percent of language exposure to English and to Spanish, and primary caregivers' vocabulary knowledge) on bilingual children's vocabulary skills. Method Vocabulary skills were measured in 58 bilingual children between the ages of 5 and 7 who spoke Spanish as their native language and English as their second language. Data related to language environment in the home, specifically, the percent of language exposure to each language and SES, were obtained from primary caregiver interviews. Primary caregivers' vocabulary knowledge was measured directly using expressive and receptive vocabulary assessments in both languages. Results Multiple regression analyses indicated that primary caregivers' vocabulary knowledge, the child's percent exposure to each language, and SES were robust predictors of children's English, but not Spanish, vocabulary skills. Conclusion These findings indicate that in the early school ages, primary caregiver vocabulary skills have a stronger impact on bilingual children's second-language than native-language vocabulary.

The goal of the paper was to research the emotional well-being of students, teachers, and factors that impact it using quantitative research methods. Research was a case study and reflects a situation in one particular school. Emotional well-being plays an important role in personality development. Presence or absence of emotions like joy, satisfaction, trust, and reliance determines the perception, thinking, and actions of students. Positive emotions cause energetic and functional mobilization of the central nervous system and the whole human organism, promotes purposeful actions by connecting cognitive processes with fulfillment of student’s current needs. Emotions either enable or disable the learning process for a student. If positive emotions are absent, brain is in a passive state - active learning starts when emotions activate the brain. The impact of emotions on a student in the learning process can be mainly observed through attention that is payed towards studying; however, positive emotions that are connected to studying can also promote student’s interest in the study subject. Positive emotions can encourage several abilities like interest, enthusiasm, optimism, loyalty and the motivation to act. In addition, thinking can also be enabled, as well as an improvement in the ability to learn new things. These abilities make the learning process more productive. As a large part of students day is spent at school their emotional well-being is directly related to emotional well-being of pedagogues. It is crucial that a pedagogue is able to be aware of their own emotions and feelings and knows how to accept them and use them in solving pedagogical situations, as well as improving of his/her own life while still acting within professional ethical norms.

The field of second language acquisition is a fascinating and global topic. Many of us have spent long hours poring over textbooks, memorising vocabulary and perfecting our grammar only to find that when we arrive in the country no-one understands us or our use of language unexpectedly gives rise to hilarity or even causes offense. We've been told, 'Don't worry. Spend a few weeks in the country and you'll soon soak up the language'. Again, this is not always the case. While many learners return from their time abroad showing and feeling huge improvements, there are others who seem not to have benefited from the experience. In fact, it is well known that people can live in another language environment for years and never 'pick up' the language. So, if learning doesn't necessarily help and spending time in the country doesn't always produce the desired results, then what are the ...

Living in the information technology era, each day more and more is recognized a symbiotic relationship between technology and youth. Given the desire and willingness of young people to shape their actions according to the opportunities offered by the technology, the government sets a strategic priority for transforming the education in order to ensure youths to achieve and attain the skills of the 21st century. This research describes the most important aspects that underline the impact of applying ICT(Information Communication Technology) in the subject of mathematics as well as the effectiveness of learning the same subject through application of the contemporary practice. This study examines the research questions through a quantitative research approach. Participants included 113 fourth and fifth graders and 18 teachers at primary school “Ismail Qemali” in Gostivar. In addition to answering the research questions, the results also reflect the implications of the findings. The summarized and analyzed results provide justified suggestions. They show that ICT facilitates the achievement of mathematical concepts and at the same time enables learning to be more sustainable. Despite the fact that the application of technology has proven to be beneficial for both students and teachers in the teaching process, ICT in today's practice in most cases is still used only in preparation for teaching rather than being an integrated part of the teaching practice. As an evolving process, the teaching of mathematics dictates using ICT. However even though it is evidenced that there is an improvement in this direction, yet it cannot be said that teachers are sufficiently competent to make effective use of ICT-based technology and resources.
