Chronic energy deficiency is one of the nutritional problems of pregnant women where the body's condition experiences a severe lack of energy or is often showed by upper arm circumference <23.5. chronic energy deficiency of pregnant woman caused by many factors. one of the factors is low intake of nutrients such as energy, protein, vitamin c and iron. This study aims to determine the effect of nutritional counseling on energy, protein, vitamin c and iron intake. This type of research is a quasi experiment analytic research using cross sectional research design. sample was 30 pregnant women. extension data based on extension program unit then narrated nutrient intake obtained through 4X24 hour recall. the results of the study showed that before the extension of the sample energy intake was 96.7% less and 3.3% more. Sample protein intake as much as 100% less. Intake of vitamin C sample as much as 100% less. Sample iron intake is as much as 100% less. after counseling of sample energy intake as much as 3,3% good and 96,7% less. Sample protein intake as much as 100% less. Vitamin C intake was 3.3% good and 9.3% less and 6.7% more. Sample iron intake is as much as 100% less. Average intake before and after counseling of nutrients classified as less. It is recommended to increase nutrient intake. should be done further research on other factors that affect.

<p>ABSTRACT</p><p>Background: Chronic energy deficiency (CED) is one of nutritional problems in pregnant women. One of the causes is inadequate energy and protein in food consumption, and low household food availability.</p><p>Objectives: To know association between energy and protein intakes, food availability with CED in pregnant women in Sedayu Subdistrict, Bantul, Yogyakarta.</p><p>Methods: This was an observational study with cross sectional design. This study was conducted in Sedayu Subdistrict, Bantul, Yogyakarta from March to May 2014 and 201 pregnant women were selected as samples by using total sampling methods. Independent variable was the level of energy intake, protein,and food availability while the dependent variable was the risk of CED in pregnant women. Data were collected by direct interview with questionnaire and direct measurement of mid upper arm circumference (MUAC) with MUAC tape. Data were then analyzed by using univariable analysis (descriptive), bivariable<br />(chi-square), and multivariable (multiple logistic regression).</p><p>Results: Bivariable test showed a significant association between level of energy intake (OR=3, 95% CI:1.3-6.8) and food availability (OR=2.9, 95% CI:1.1-7.1) with the risk of CED in pregnant women in Sedayu Subdistrict. However, no significant association between level of protein intake and the risk of CED (OR=2.1, 95% CI: 0.9-5.1). In multivariable analysis, level of energy intake had the strongest association with the risk of CED.</p><p>Conclusions: There was associaton between level of energy intake and food availability with the risk of CED in pregnant women. However, there was no association between level of protein intake and the risk of CED in pregnant women.</p><p>KEYWORDS: chronic energi deficiency, pregnant women, intake of energy intake of protein, food availability</p><p>ABSTRAK</p><p>Latar belakang: Kekurangan energi kronis (KEK) merupakan salah satu masalah gizi yang terjadi pada ibu hamil. Salah satu penyebab KEK adalah konsumsi makan yang tidak cukup mengandung energi dan protein serta ketersediaan pangan keluarga yang kurang.</p><p>Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat asupan energi, tingkat asupan protein, dan ketersediaan pangan dengan kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil di Kecamatan Sedayu, Bantul, Yogyakarta.</p><p>Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional yang dilakukan di Kecamatan Sedayu Bantul pada bulan Maret hingga Mei 2014. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu hamil di Kecamatan Sedayu yang diambil dengan metode total sampling dan didapatkan 201 orang. Variabel bebas yaitu tingkat asupan energi,<br />protein, dan ketersediaan pangan, sedangkan variabel terikat adalah risiko KEK pada ibu hamil. Data diambil dengan wawancara langsung menggunakan software kuesioner Commcare dan pengukuran lingkar lengan atas (LILA) dengan pita LILA. Data dianalisis dengan analisis univariabel (deskriptif), bivariat (chi-square), dan multivariat (regresi logistik berganda).</p><p>Hasil: Analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat asupan energi (OR=3, 95% CI:1,3-6,8) dan ketersediaan pangan (OR=2,9, 95% CI:1,1-7,1) dengan risiko KEK pada ibu hamil. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat asupan protein dengan risiko KEK (OR=2,1, 95% CI:0,9-5,1). Pada analisis multivariat, tingkat asupan energi memiliki hubungan paling kuat dengan risiko KEK dibandingkan dengan variabel lainnya.</p><p>Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat asupan energi dan ketersediaan pangan dengan risiko KEK pada ibu hamil. Chronic Energi Deficiency (CED) is a nutritional problem in pregnant women with a prevalence of 17,3% based on Indonesia Basic Health Research or Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) in 2018. Based on age groups, pregnant women who experienced the highest CED were 15-19 years (38,5%). So it is very important to know what factors are related to CED in pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to analyze determinants factors with the incidence of chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women at Gunung Sindur Bogor. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in this study were 70 pregnant women who were selected by purposive sampling. Bivariate analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test and logistic regression for Multivariat analysis. The bivariate analysis showed that there were a relationship between age (p = 0.009), parity (p = 0.027) nutritional knowledge (p = 0.045), energy intake (p = 0.001), and protein intake (p = 0.007) with the incidence of CED in pregnant women. The multivariat results show that energy intake is the most dominant factor associated with the incidence of CED (p = 0.001) in pregnant women at Mount Sindur Bogor.

Introduction: Nutritional adequacy is essential in ensuring the normal growth and development of the fetus. Perceived benefits will be able to strengthen pregnant women to meet optimum nutritional intake to prevent anemia. Adequacy of protein, vitamin C and iron will reduce the risk of iron deficiency anemia in pregnancy. This study aims to examine the association between perceived benefits with protein, vitamin C, and iron intake in preventing pregnancy anemia.Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design and was conducted in August-October 2017 among105 pregnant women. This study used the multistage random sampling method. The population of this study was pregnant women who had antenatal care in four Community Health Centre in Surabaya namely Jagir, MedokanAyu, SidotopoWetan, and Gundih. Results: The average daily protein intake was 76.34 (SD = 35.88) gram/day. There was a significant association between perceived benefits with protein intake (r = 0.272; p = 0.005). The average daily vitamin C intake was 90.67 (SD = 116.54) mg/day. There was no significant association between perceived benefits and vitamin C intake (r = 0.175; p = 0.074). The average daily iron intake was 64.73 (SD = 23.13) mg/day. There was a significant association between perceived benefits and iron intake (r = 0.219; p = 0.025).Conclusion: The knowledge of pregnant women about the benefits of nutrition will affect the adequacy of pregnancy nutrition. Health workers need to provide health education on the importance of nutrition for pregnant women to prevent anemia during pregnancy.

<pre>Chronic Energy Deficiency is a situation where the nutritional status someone is on the Less Good Condition. Among the 22 health centers in the district of Lima Puluh Kota, CED highest coverage at the health center are Banja Laweh Namely Case 17 (16.50%) of 103 pregnant mothers. Preliminary Survey of 10 pregnant women at health centers Banja Laweh, note 4 people (40%) of them suffered CED. Based on the findings of interviews stating Not pregnant women know the importance of the size upper arm circumference on Against her pregnancy, in addition to pregnant women consume no food Diversified, because lust Eating Less and Economics not sufficient. Objectives for review determine factors related to the occurrence of Chronic energy deficiency on pregnant women. Methods descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. Data collection is done on Date in January-February 2017. CASE is a whole population of pregnant women in the region are working Health Center Banja Laweh Year 2017, amounted to 55 people, with sampling total sampling. Operating data analysis using univariate and bivariate statistical test Chi Square. Results of univariate analysis 87,3% of respondents experienced Genesis not CED, (60,0%) High Knowledge, (56,4%) Economy High, and 61,8% of Eating Well. Bivariate analysis known Relationship of Knowledge (p = 0.013 and OR = 12,000, Economics (p = 0.035 and OR = 10,000), and Diet (p = 0.019 and OR = 13,200) with the Genesis CED pregnant women. Can be concluded that the factors related to the occurrence of CED pregnant women is Science, Economics and the Diet. Expected to conduct monitoring of the health center and Supervision of pregnant women at risk Against The Genesis CED, so the negative impact of the CED can be addressed early on.</pre>

Education influences a changes in knowledge, attitudes, and lifestyle patterns in the selection of the type and amount of food consumed. The health of a pregnant women affects the fetus in her womb. Nutrient content consumed by the mother will be absorbed by the fetus which is important for the growth of the fetus itself. This study aims to determine the relationship of education level, energy intake and protein nutritional status of pregnant women in the Bungoro Health Center Work Area of Bungoro District, Pangkep Regency. This research is an analytical study with cross-sectional design. Samples were pregnant women, amount to 40 people. The level of education is obtained through a questionnaire. Energy and protein intake was obtained through 2x24 hours recall and then processed using menu A software. To find out the relationship between variables of education level, energy and protein intake with nutritional status, Chi-Square was tested using the SPSS program. Data is presented in the form of tables and narratives. The results showed that 77.5% of the sample education level was high. Sample energy intake was classified as less than 82.5% and 17.5% classified as good. Sample protein intake of 95% classified as poor and 5% classified as good. Nutritional status of pregnant women is 70% experiencing KEK and 30% normal. Statistical test results show that there is no relationship between education level, energy and protein intake and nutritional status of pregnant women in the Bungoro Health Center Work Area, Bungoro District, Pangkep Regency.

AbstrakKekurangan energi kronik (KEK) merupakan salah satu masalah status gizi pada ibu hamil. Jumlah ibu hamil yang menderita KEK di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan dari tahun 2007 sampai 2013, yaitu sebesar 15,7%. Data di Puskesmas Tanjung Pinang pada tahun 2015 terdapat 6,60% ibu hamil yang menderita KEK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dengan status gizi pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Tanjung Pinang Kota Jambi tahun 2016. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif korelasi dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu hamil yang memeriksakan kehamilan di Puskesmas Tanjung Pinang tahun 2016. Sampel berjumlah 62 responden dengan teknik Quota sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer dan analisis data menggunakan Chi Square dengan α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki status gizi baik yaitu 51 ibu hamil (82,3%) dan minoritas responden yang memiliki status gizi kurang yaitu 11 ibu hamil. Pengetahuan tentang gizi pada ibu hamil, 31 responden (50%) memiliki pengetahuan baik. Berdasarkan uji Chi Square, ada hubungan pengetahuan dengan status gizi ibu hamil di Puskesmas Tanjung Pinang Kota Jambi. The number of pregnant women who suffered from chronic energy deficiency in Indonesia had increased from 2007 until 2013, that amounted to 15,7%. Data of Tanjung Pinang Health Center 2015 showed that there are 6,60% of pregnant women suffering from chronic energy deficiency. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between knowledge and nutrition statusof pregnant woman in Tanjung Pinang Primary Health Center by 2016. This reseach used descriptive correlation study with cross sectional design. The population of study was pregnant women who visited Tanjung Pinang Health Center during 2016. There were 62 respondents employed as the sample with Quota Sampling technique. This study used primary data in data collection and Chi Square Test in data analysis with the result α = 0.05. The results of study indicated that 51 respondents (82,3%) having good nutrition status while the other 11 respondents were in contrast. In accordance with knowledge level, 31 respondents (50%) having good knowledge. Based on Chi Square test there was a correlation between knowledge and pregnant women’s nutrition status in Tanjung Pinang Health Center of Jambi City (p = 0,00).  Keywords: nutrition status, knowledge, chronic energy deficiency, nutrition of pregnant women

Background: Pregnancy demands adequate nutritional requirements for foetal growth, good health of pregnant women and to avoid adverse effects during pregnancy. Women from developing countries with limited resources have inadequate consumption of nutritional diets. This paper assesses the nutrient intake and dietary pattern of Nepalese pregnant women compared with recommended nutrient intake. This paper also observes trimester wise nutrient intake among pregnant women in Nepal.Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 323 pregnant women who visited Gynaecology and Obstetrics Out-Patient Department (OPD) at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for regular Antenatal Care (ANC) check-ups. Systematic random sampling methods were followed and data were collected from September 2016 to October 2016. Nutrient intake was evaluated with a 24-hour dietary recall method and compared with the Nepalese Food Composition Table 2017 for available nutrients. Face-to-face structured interviews were conducted to assess the nutrient intake of the respondents. The data were entered in Microsoft Excel 2007 and statistical analysis was carried out in SPSS v26. The descriptive analysis was done to identify the distribution of socio-demographic variables of pregnant women. The one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to compare the mean of nutrient intake distribution while Tukey’s post-hoc test was done to compare trimester-wise nutrient intakes.Results: Except for fat, the intake of nutrients were below the Nepalese Recommended Nutrient Intake. Carbohydrate and energy intake in the second and third trimester was significantly different from that in the first trimester (p = 0.006 and 0.004 respectively for carbohydrates and p = 0.009 and 0.002 respectively for energy intake). However, riboflavin intake was significantly lower only in the third trimester as compared to the first (p = 0.025) while there were no significant intake differences between the first and second trimester and second and third trimester. No significant trimester wise differences were observed for intake distribution of other nutrients. Cereal intake was found to be abundant in the diet of pregnant women followed by pulses, legumes, and other vegetables.Conclusion: The research concludes inadequate nutrient intake among pregnant women as compared to the national Recommended Nutrient Intake.

Teenagers are a group of ranges experiencing nutritional problems. Nutrition problems that often occur in adolescents are lack of nutrient intake which can trigger chronic energy deficiency (CED) and anemia as a result of iron deficiency. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship of macro nutrient intake, iron intake, hemoglobin levels to the risk of chronic energy deficiency. This study uses a case-control design, which was carried out on 72 Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang high school students consisting of 36 at risk of CED and 36 at no risk of CED. Data on macro-nutrient intake and Fe intake were obtained from the calculation of Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), Hemoglobin content data using the quick check method, and CED data through measurement of mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC). Data analysis using the Chi-square test at CI:95%. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between energy consumption and macronutrient intake (p=0,004), protein (p=0,004), fat (p=0,031), and iron intake (p=0,000) with the risk of young female CED. The absorption of macro and micronutrients influences. The conclusion, the risk of CED in adolescent girls. Suggestions, education and interventions need to be done related to the importance of paying attention to the nutritional status of adolescent girls. Remaja merupakan kelompok rentang mengalami masalah gizi. Masalah gizi yang sering terjadi pada remaja adalah kurangnya asupan zat gizi yang dapat memicu terjadinya kurang energi kronis (KEK) serta anemia sebagai akibat kekurangan zat besi. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis hubungan asupan zat gizi makro, asupan zat besi, kadar haemoglobin terhadap risiko kurang energi kronis. Metode penelitian survei analitik dengan desain secara kasus kontrol. Penelitian dilakukan pada 72 siswi SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang terdiri 36 berisiko KEK dan 36 tidak KEK.  Data asupan zat gizi makro dan asupan Fe diperoleh dari perhitungan Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), data kadar Haemoglobin menggunakan metode quick cek, dan data KEK melalui pengukuran lingkar lengan atas (LiLA). Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-square pada CI:95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara asupan z\at gizi makro energi (p=0,004), protein (p=0,004), lemak (p=0,031) dan asupan zat besi (p=0,000) dengan risiko KEK remaja putri. Kesimpulan, Risiko KEK pada remaja putri dipengaruhi oleh asupan zat gizi makro dan mikro. Saran, perlu dilakukan edukasi dan intervensi terkait pentingnya memperhatikan status gizi remaja putri.

 Background: Chronic Energy  Deficiency, and Anemia in pregnancy have become two the indirect and major causes of maternal and infant mortality cases in Indonesia. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age, gestational age, gravida on Chronic Energy Deficiency occurrence and anemia. Methods: . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age, gravida, and work status on Chronic Energy Deficiency occurrence and Anemia.Results: The results showed that unemployed mothers had a probability of 0.824 times for Chronic Energy Deficiency compared with working mothers, multigravidal mothers had a probability of 1.021 times for Chronic Energy Deficiency compared with primigravida mothers, and 3,200 times for Chronic Energy Deficiency compared with primigravida mothers. Pregnant women <20 years of age have an anemia risk of 2.250 times compared with age 20-35 years, and age> 35 years have anemia risk 5.885 times greater than the age of 20-35 years. Unhealthy mothers and mothers who have risk of Anemia 1.990 greater than pregnant women who work.Conclusion: The conclusion of this research is that there is influence of work status, primigravida to Chronic Energy Deficiency occurrence, and there is influence of age, working status, and gravida on occurrence Anemia in pregnant mother. Advice for pregnant women is to conduct counseling to health workers on a regular basis and meet the nutritional needs during pregnancy according to the advice of health workers to prevent the occurrence of Chronic Energy Deficiency and anemia during pregnancy.ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Proporsi ibu hamil dengan KEK di Indonesia berdasarkan Riset Kesehatan Dasar mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada tahun 2010 sebesar 33,5% meningkat menjadi 38,5% pada tahun 2013.  Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur, gravida, dan status  bekerja  terhadap kejadian KEK dan Anemia pada ibu hamil.  Metode: Penelitian cross-sectional ini melibatkan 153 ibu hamil yang periksa selama bulan Januari-Desember 2014 sebagai sampel. Sampel ini dipilih secara acak dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengaruh antar variabel dianalisis menggunakan uji Logistic Regression (α = 0,05).  Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ibu yang tidak bekerja memiliki kemungkinan 0,824 kali untuk mengalami KEK dibandingkan dengan ibu yang bekerja, ibu multigravida memiliki kemungkinan 1,021 kali untuk mengalami KEK dibandingkan dengan ibu primigravida, dan 3,200 kali untuk mengalami KEK dibandingkan dengan ibu primigravida, . Ibu hamil yang berumur < 20 tahun memiliki resiko mengalami Anemia 2,250 kali dibandingkan dengan umur 20-35 tahun, dan usia > 35 tahun memiliki resiko mengalami Anemia 5,885 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan usia 20-35 tahun. Ibu yang tidak bekerja memiliki resiko mengalami Anemia 1,990 lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ibu hamil yang bekerja.Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh status bekerja, primigravida terhadap kejadian KEK, dan terdapat pengaruh umur, status bekerja, dan gravida  terhadap kejadian Anemia pada ibu hamil. Saran untuk ibu hamil adalah untuk melakukan konseling kepada petugas kesehatan secara teratur dan memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisinya selama hamil sesuai saran petugas kesehatan untuk mencegah terjadinya KEK dan anemia pada masa kehamilan.

<p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p><em><strong>Background</strong>: Chronic energy deficiency (CED) has been experienced in almost all countries, especially in developing countries such as Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Srilanka, and Thailand. There are several cause factors of CED, one of them is socioeconomic level such as education, employment, knowledge, and family income.</em></p><p><em><strong>Objectives</strong>: To analyze the relationship between socioeconomic level and CED in Sedayu Subdistrict, Bantul,Yogyakarta.</em></p><p><em><strong>Methods</strong>: This was an observational study with cross sectional design. Population were all pregnant women in Sedayu Subdistrict. Samples were selected by using total sampling methods with total sample 201 pregnant women. Data were analyzed by using univariate analysis (descriptive), bivariat (chi-square), and multivariat (multiple logistic regression).</em></p><p><em><strong>Results</strong>: There were no significant relationship between maternal education (p=0.167, RP=1.55, 95% CI:0.84-2.87), maternal employment (p=0.360, RP=1.33, 95% CI:0.72-2.44), maternal knowledge (p=0.892, RP=0.96, 95% CI:0.49-1.85) and CED in pregnant women at Sedayu Subdistrict. However, there was significant relationship between family income with CED in pregnant woman (p=0.004, RP=2.73, 95% CI:1.31-5.68). Multivariat analysis showed that there was significant relationship between family income with CED in pregnant women (R2=0.08, OR=3.22, 95% CI:1.28-8.11). Low family income had a 3.22 times higher chance to incidence of CED in pregnant women.</em></p><p><em><strong>Conclusions</strong>: Sosioeconomic status such as education, employment, knowledge did not associate with CED in pregnant women. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi KEK pada ibu hamil adalah tingkat sosial ekonomi seperti pendidikan ibu, pengetahuan ibu, pekerjaan ibu, dan pendapatan keluarga.</em></p><p><em><strong>Tujuan</strong>: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat sosial ekonomi dengan kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil di Kecamatan Sedayu, Bantul, Yogyakarta.</em></p><p><em><strong>Metode</strong>: Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu hamil yang ada di Kecamatan Sedayu. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 201 ibu hamil. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis univariat (deskriptif), bivariat (chi-square), dan multivariat (regresi logistik).</em></p><p><em><strong>Hasil</strong>: Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara pendidikan ibu (p=0,17, RP=1,55, 95% CI:0,84-2,87), pekerjaan ibu (p=0,36, RP=1,33, 95% CI:0,72-2,44), dan pengetahuan ibu (p=0,83, RP=0,96, 95% CI:0,49-1,85) dengan kejadian KEK pada Ibu hamil. Namun demikian, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pendapatan keluarga dengan KEK ibu hamil (p=0,004, RP=2,73, 95% CI:1,31-5,68). Analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan keluarga mempunyai hubungan dengan kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil (R2=0,08, OR=3,22, 95% CI:1,28-8,11), pendapatan keluarga yang rendah memiliki peluang 3,22 kali untuk mengalami kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil.</em></p><p><em><strong>Kesimpulan</strong>: Tingkat sosial ekonomi seperti pendidikan, pekerjaan, pengetahuan ibu tidak berhubungan dengan KEK pada ibu hamil, namun pendapatan keluarga memiliki hubungan yang bermakna secara signifikan antara ibu hamil KEK dan tidak KEK.</em></p><p><strong>KATA KUNCI</strong><em>: kurang energi kronis, pendidikan, pekerjaan, pengetahuan, pendapatan keluarga</em></p>
