Indonesia has been battling Covid-19 by modifying the regional quarantine (lockdown) policy into large-scale social restrictions (LSSR) that are local according to the severity of the region. The government is trying to regulate the New Normal policy to avoid a prolonged economic impact that can cause a crisis. The objectives of this Community Service (CS) activity are: 1) To encourage people to stay productive in the new standard era by doing activities around the house. 2) Inviting the community to organize environmental space and use of the yard. Most people in the Villa Pabittei housing estate, Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province are civil servants, temporary or non-permanent employees, so they carry out their activities at home because the government has closed offices and schools. To anticipate the boredom of the people who laid off, the methods of this CS activity are 1) Counseling using learning by doing techniques and providing motivation for the community to use vacant land with FMP (family medicinal plants), 2) Simulation of structuring space into an environmental park

In its program for underdeveloped areas, the United Nations faces on a large scale the need to effect concrete adaptations of the habits of indigenous peoples to modern knowledge and technology. Research to determine the best methods of procedure has disclosed that, in certain areas, previous attempts on the part of administrators to introduce innovations and make changes which could not be integrated into the cultural pattern of the indigenous people proved unsatisfactory to them and costly to the government concerned. In most cases, changes in diet, crops and habits of work—let alone the introduction of industrial disciplines—may not be pressed down like a cookie-cutter on a going society. The administration of change often proves a disconcertingly stubborn affair, exasperating both to the administrator and to the people whom he seeks to catch up into the ways of "progress."

Development process in Odisha (before 2011 Orissa) may have led to progress but has also resulted in large-scale dispossession of land, homesteads, forests and also denial of livelihood and human rights. In Odisha as the requirements of development increase, the arena of contestation between the state/corporate entities and the people has correspondingly multiplied because the paradigm of contemporary model of growth is not sustainable and leads to irreparable ecological/environmental costs. It has engendered many people’s movements. Struggles in rural Odisha have increasingly focused on proactively stopping of projects, mining, forcible land, forest and water acquisition fallouts from government/corporate sector. Contemporaneously, such people’s movements are happening in Kashipur, Kalinga Nagar, Jagatsinghpur, Lanjigarh, etc. They have not gained much success in achieving their objectives. However, the people’s movement of Baliapal in Odisha is acknowledged as a success. It stopped the central and state governments from bulldozing resistance to set up a National Missile Testing Range in an agriculturally rich area in the mid-1980s by displacing some lakhs of people of their land, homesteads, agricultural production, forests and entitlements. A sustained struggle for 12 years against the state by using Gandhian methods of peaceful civil disobedience movement ultimately won and the government was forced to abandon its project. As uneven growth strategies sharpen, the threats to people’s human rights, natural resources, ecology and subsistence are deepening. Peaceful and non-violent protest movements like Baliapal may be emulated in the years ahead.

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a real enemy for all levels of society, both from the middle to upper and lower middle classes, because this pandemic does not only attack the health aspects but all aspects of life, both in terms of economy, religion to lifestyle so that with this condition the government implements the order. a new life called New Normal. The following article is a literature study on how monetary policy is in maintaining the Indonesian economy amid the Covid-19 pandemic and will be reviewed from a sharia perspective, and will see whether government policies are fair and not only benefit certain parties. The method used is to review several research results that have been published in journals that explain the Covid-19 Pandemic and the policies taken by the government. The findings of this study inform that monetary policy is indeed influential in suppressing the inflation rate and can achieve economic stability, and the more obvious thing is that the government and a set of policy makers have been very fast in responding to the impacts arising from the Covid-19 pandemic undermining the global economy with policy stimuli that have been drawn up to fight the pandemic. From the point of view of sharia, the policies taken by the government already have a very good goal, namely meeting the needs of the people is fair and mashlahah is the main goal, the policies carried out by the government are conceptual and seen from the sharia side it is very good and upholds the welfare of the people.

The number of Covid 19 cases is increasing and cannot be ignored considering the increase every day continues to increase. The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic has an impact on various fields, especially the economy. To avoid the increasing number of sufferers, the government limits activities that cause crowds, maintains distance and maintains hygenicity in the community in carrying out daily activities known as health protocol regulations. The behavior and actions of the community must change completely from the usual actions that are often carried out, for that it is necessary to have socialization on how to prevent the transmission of Covid 19 by implementing the health protocol that has been advised by the government. The purpose of this community service activity is to remind and help public understanding of the implementation of health protocols during the Covid 19 pandemic. The form of activities is in the form of counseling, giving hand sanitizers and masks. Lack of public awareness and knowledge about Covid-19 can be overcome by providing knowledge, through socialization about the importance of implementing this activity protocol in order to help people face New normal conditions, by helping people live by complying with health protocols. Abstract. The government of Indonesia has not used lockdown or quarantine as an option to tackle the spread of Coronavirus, as the impact of lockdown on small communities in the informal sector that lives from daily income will be severe. Alternatively, the government is enforcing Large-Scale Social Restrictions (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar or "PSBB") to respond to the state of emergency in public health. Starting in June 2020, the government has implemented transitional PSBB in some red zone areas, including the capital Jakarta and East Java province, despite the surge in case numbers. This paper aims to investigate the effectiveness of the PSBB policy applied in Indonesia during the COVID-19 outbreak and the readiness to embrace the new normal, between April and June 2020, based on rapid literature analysis in a search on Medline(-Pubmed), government speeches and reports, social and mass media platforms. Implementation of PSBB is a preventive measure to combat Coronavirus’ spread in some Indonesian areas. Indonesia should not be in a “new normal” situation. The transitional PSBB phase serves as an early chapter of a new normal that would apply only to strategic sectors with manageable risks combined with better regulation and compliance by the public.
