Tomato plants are vegetables that are easily damaged (parisable) so that requires the application of Good Handling Practices (GHP) which aims to reduce post-harvest yield loss. The purpose of this Final Assignment study is to increase farmers' knowledge about the application of tomato GHPs, namely treatment from harvest to market. This Final Project was carried out in the village of Senaning, Pemayung Sub-District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province from March to July 2020. The method used was descriptive method and multiple linear regression. Respondents were taken as many as 30 people who were determined deliberately (purposive sampling), namely farmers who are members of the tomato farmer group. The results showed that of 30 respondents at the level of farmer adoption, there were 17 knowledge persons in the low category (56.7%) and 13 moderate people (43.3%). Factors that influence the adoption of farmers in the application of GHP tomatoes are divided into 7 namely age, education, experience of farming, the role of extension workers, extension activities, availability of information and availability of facilities and infrastructure. From the analysis of variance analysis (Anova), it was found that all seven independent variables had a significant effect on the adoption of GHP tomato farmers (0.000> 0.05). Partially using the multiple linear regression formula, the results found that 6 independent variables, namely age (0.003), education (0.017), experience of farming (0.001), role of extension workers (0.029), extension activities (0.008), and availability of information (0.048) influence significant towards the adoption of farmers in the application of tomato GHP (Sig <0.05). While the availability of production facilities does not affect the adoption of farmers in the application of tomato GHP (0.119). The strategy taken to increase the adoption of farmers in the application of tomato GHP is by conducting counseling of tomato GHP and making a demonstration plot of tomato plants. After counseling there was a significant increase in the knowledge of farmers on tomato GHP with the T test sig (0,000).

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth and educational level towards income disparity on Gerbangkertosusila region either partially or simultaneously. Gerbangkertosusila in 2003-2012 becomes the subject of this research. In addition, the research uses sampling saturated and regression models for panel data analysis to achieve the aims of this study. The results of this study showed that (1) partially economic growth significantly does not influence the income disparity in Gerbangkertosusila region. The invention indicates that economic growth can not be distributed evenly. (2) The level of education have a significant effect on the income disparity of Gerbangkertosusila. The total population of high educated people in Surabaya is higher than others. So, Surabaya has higher income disparity too. (3) While simultaneously, economic growth and education level significanly influence the income disparity in Gerbangkertosusila region. The findings showed that Surabaya has different income disparity. It is because Surabaya as a capital area than other regencies as supporting area. So there is a high gap between capital and supporting area. The government is expected to be able to increase the industrial sector’s output, services and capital goods so that high economic growth can be achieved and more attention to the education sector, especially in the central areas of growth

Abstract This study is a modification of the Kane, Spizman, and Donelson, (2013) model for educational attainment of children. The primary modification is to provide separate models for children who lived with both parents compared to those who did not to allow for differential impacts of family characteristics by household type on the children's educational attainment. The study also (1) captures five additional years of educational attainment data that were not available for the Kane, et al., (2013) study, (2) does not impose a functional form on some of the independent variables, (3) modifies the model to facilitate the inclusion of observations for which some data are missing, and (4) provides estimates for the average age at the time various degrees are obtained. The results show that the education levels of both parents are impactful for the educational attainment of children who lived with both parents and that there is no statistical difference between the impact of mother's and father's education level. In contrast, the results show the relatively greater impact of the mother's compared to the father's educational level on the educational attainment of children in households that did not include both parents.
