Karo Regency is one of the biggest coffee producing regions in North Sumatra Province. Plantation waste by-product from coffee production is the coffee seed waste which is usually discarded and causes environmental pollution. The purpose of this community service is to apply the waste of coffee fruit skin into sheep and goat feed using silage technology so that it can reduce the cost of feed for farmers. The method used is interviews and finding solutions to problems, training accompanied by practice using teaching media such as guidebooks, leaflets and banners, assistance and reinforcement supported by equipment from the service team so farmers are more interested. Outcomes of community service programs are improving farmers 'knowledge and skills, reducing the cost of animal feed using abundant coffee seed waste, reducing environmental pollution, developing the concept of business integration between plantations and animal husbandry so as to increase farmers' incomes. The results obtained are based on a long-term indicator that the utilization of coffee fruit seed waste using silage technology for animal feed can reduce feed costs, increase livestock production, increase farmers' skills and knowledge and can overcome waste pollution. It was concluded that silage technology using coffee seed waste is very effective to improve science, environmental health, income and farmers' standard of living.

Coffee is a plantation that produces waste in its processing such as coffee seed waste. Farmers do not know the nutritional content of coffee seed waste is the cause of the waste not being used as animal feed. Coffee bean waste has high water content and caffeine which reduces the cattle's palpability. The solution is to use coffee seed waste silage technology. The method used in community service programs is by approaching, interviewing, exploring problems, and finding solutions to problems. Learning methods using books on how to make silage, providing brochures, banners, and shows that interest farmers. Outputs of this community service program; 1) Increasing the community who use plantation waste as animal feed to reduce feed costs 2) Development of integrated business concepts between livestock and logging. 3) Increased knowledge and skills of farmers 4) Utilization of coffee bean skin waste can reduce environmental pollution. Dukuh Sikepan Ngagrong Village is one of the villages located in Gladagsari District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province. Plantations and animal husbandry are the sources of livelihood for the people of Dukuh Sikepan, most of whom work as farmers and breeders. Also, the limited knowledge of residents about animal feed fermentation has made residents only provide feed with ordinary grass, which is only found in the rainy season. So that during the dry season, residents have to buy feed elsewhere at a higher cost. The not yet optimal marketing of agricultural products and development is also an obstacle for Sikepan residents. Thus, it is necessary to have a community service program that is expected to help the people of Sikepan Hamlet reduce the problems they are facing. Through the method of extension, education, and assistance to develop public knowledge to recognize and utilize agricultural knowledge about animal feed fermentation and education about post-harvest online marketing in Sikepan Hamlet, it is necessary to do it. KKN students, assisted by Field Supervisory Lecturers, carry out community service programs that interact with the community. The KKN-PPM program is beneficial for residents in carrying out livestock feed fermentation, providing technical training to enable farmers to do what they need. The cost of feed is the highest expenditure on animal husbandry management. One solution to reduce the high cost of feed is by utilizing local feed ingredients or abundant horticulture waste. Waste from bananas namely banana peel can be used as small ruminant animal feed so that feed efficiency can be achieved both in terms of cost, nutrition and feed formulation. Abundant banana skin waste that has not been used optimally so that it is feared can cause environmental pollution. To prevent the accumulation of horticultural waste, one of which is by giving cattle as feed used in the dry season. The method used in the first community service program is to approach, interview and deepen problems and find solutions to problems later. Secondly, learning methods by using teaching media in the form of a book of community service activities and ways of fermented kepok banana peels, giving brochures or leaflets and demonstration using media aids and banners that attract farmers' interests. Substantial research has been devoted to the problems of more rational feeding of animals, improving the quality and nutritional value of existing feeds with a general reduction in the cost of their production, as well as the search for new and alternative sources of feed and methods for their preparation. At the same time, the scientific community is faced with issues of finding the best ways to recycle agricultural and food production waste. Since agricultural producers and processors also face the problem of recycling a variety of waste, the practical implementation of research in these areas is one of the main tasks of the agricultural sector. This article examines the feasibility of organizing on-farm production of animal feed based on a mobile extruder plant that uses waste from the production and processing of crops, food and other industries. This would reduce feed costs, increase the efficiency of using internal feed resources and would utilize production waste. This approach would significantly reduce the cost of livestock products or could become a source of additional income. The data on the extrusion of a number of non-traditional sources of feed products, such as waste from leather production, grape processing, mushroom cultivation, etc., are provided. Keywords: agriculture, animal husbandry, feeding, alternative feed resources, production waste, extruding, efficiency
