The article is devoted to an overview of the structure and educational content of online courses on the Prometheus platform, which used for increasing level of info-media literacy of users.It is noted that the rapid technological and information development of society increases the ability of society to exchange information between participants in communication, the formation of new relationships between users, access to large amounts of data. It was found that the consumer often forms an idea of the real world with the help of the media. However, the information offered to him is not always true, which has negative influence to thoughts and behavior of the consumer. Therefore, the realities of the information society actualized purpose for acquiring special competencies related to a critical attitude to information. Modern man must be able to search for the necessary information, recognize fakes, be resistant to manipulative influences.Media education helps to solve the problem of increasing the level of media literacy among consumers of information. It was found that this category is a necessary component of the educational process in higher education, is implemented through appropriate technologies and tools, training and electronic educational resources.One of the means of media education is the platform of mass open online courses. It was found that Ukrainian-language educational platforms provide the principle of open education, are free and accessible to any user.The article reviews three media literacy courses on the Prometheus online platform. Describes the structure and analyzes the educational content of the courses «Media Literacy: Practical Skills», «Media Literacy for Educators», «Access to Public Information: from A to Z». It is noted that they all contain different educational material, provide testing, viewing video lectures lasting 5-15 minutes, have the same navigation bar. After successfully passing the tests for each of the courses, you can get an electronic certificate.In the future, we expect to obtain and analyze empirical data on the impact of online media literacy courses on the level of info-media literacy of higher education students.

The rapid urbanization in China has brought with it some health benefits, but it also brought about a negative influence on the lifestyle of residents. We conducted this study to assess the change in hypertension-related knowledge and behavior from 2013 to 2016 among recently urbanized residents and determine their association with socioeconomic status (SES). This research used data from two cross-sectional studies conducted in Hezuo community in Chengdu, Sichuan province of China. A total of 2268 and 2601 individuals, respectively, participated and completed standard questionnaires. According to the results, the median (IQR) scores of health knowledge was 1 (0,3) and 3 (1,5), respectively, (p < 0.001) and the median (IQR) scores of health behavior was 6 (5,6) and 5 (5,6), respectively, (p < 0.001) in 2013 and 2016. The rate of sufficient knowledge increased from 8.8% to 18.1% (p < 0.001), while the rate of correct behavior decreased from 54.5% to 45.5% (p < 0.001) in three years. Logistic regression analysis showed that higher education was associated with sufficient hypertension-related knowledge (p < 0.05), and those with higher education, unemployment, and retirement were more likely to have sufficient behavior (p < 0.05). The impact of SES on knowledge was stable between 2013 and 2016. The behavior difference between the middle school educated and the illiterate increased from 2013 to 2016 (p < 0.05), and the behavior difference between the unemployed and manual workers decreased from 2013 to 2016 (p < 0.05). Our results revealed that hypertension-related knowledge improved with no corresponding improvement in self-reported behavior among recently urbanized residents from 2013 to 2016. Organizational strategy should be implemented to improve health education on knowledge, and what is more, translate knowledge into behavior. All these measures should be given more attention to the lower educated and manual workers among recently urbanized residents to eliminate the SES disparity.

This work analyzes the impact of the outbreak of hemorrhagic fever caused by the Ebola virus in Spain in the field of communication. The communication of such a crisis entails an interaction of information between individuals and institutions. Accuracy in the messages that are disseminated is key to the good resolution of the crisis. In this case of the Ebola crisis the impact in the Spanish media was very remarkable not only of the evolution of the crisis but also of the public information that were being made known by the authorities. The errors committed in this public communication, especially in the first institutional appearance, will be analyzed and possible solutions will be provided for future crises. In addition, the information behavior that was given in social networks by the authorities will be analyzed. To perform this work, bibliographical sources, data analysis and the media have been used.

The subject of this research is the implementation of digital technologies in educational process of a university. The goal consists in studying the impact of digital technologies upon the students&rsquo; learning activities. The article presents the results of questionnaire-based survey among students by the three question pools. In the course of research, the author examines such aspects of the problem, as the positive and negative impact of technologies upon learning activities of the students of digital generation. Particular attention is given to consideration of students&rsquo; attitude on digitalization of higher education. The opinions of pedagogues on the results of conducted research are presented. The scientific novelty lies in mainstreaming the question on the negative impact of digital technologies upon learning activities of the modern generation of students that deserves special attention. On the background of common passion of the scholars of researchers and pedagogues for the ideas of digitalization of education, when digital technologies are viewed as virtually the key factor for modernization of educational process; second come the problems of growing pathological dependence of youth on digital technologies, undesired to switch to digitalized educational process to the disadvantage of communication in social networks and pleasant pastime online. The problem of the negative effect of digital technologies on learning activities must be recognized in order to find the ways for its solution.

Since 2011, massive open online courses (MOOCs) fired the imagination of the general public as well as the academics, university administrators and investors alike. This chapter is an analysis of the main promises and expectations associated with MOOCs in higher education. This analysis is largely informed by a literature review of new extensive research reports, press releases, media articles, scholarly blogs and academic papers. Considering costs and benefits, ethical aspects and the impact on the landscape of higher education, the author explores whether MOOCs stay consistent with their initial promises and rhetoric. This chapter continues the discussion on the book section ‘RIA and education practice of MOOCs,' with the particular focus on the topic of ‘educational training design.'

The impact of COVID-19 has put immediate stress on institutions of higher learning to properly and successfully migrate their traditional face to face courses to fully online. There are several components to be considered in the rapid migration of courses online including the management and support of teaching faculty which includes instructional design and training support. Faculty are under extreme stress preparing for multiple modalities but some of the practices put into place over Spring are important as we move forward in the quest for high-quality online migration of land-based courses. This study seeks to explore strategies needed by higher education administrators to successfully migrate face to face teams to fully online ones and the components of helping to support the development of online courses from face to face in a short timeframe. The study investigates management theory, instructional design theory, and the perspectives of 12 administrators tasked with supporting the rapid migration of online instruction.

This paper presents a scenario in which education is approaching a potential tipping point, where major changes are about to happen as a result of developments in technology, social networking, deeper understanding of educational process, as well as new legal and economic frames of reference. The set of changes constitute what we refer to as Education 3.0, and it impacts on the roles and behavior of key stakeholders. Education 1.0 is mainly a one-way process, Education 2.0 uses the technologies of Web 2.0 to create more interactive education but largely within the constraints of Education 1.0. Education 2.0 is laying the groundwork for Education 3.0, which we believe will see a breakdown of most of the boundaries, imposed or otherwise within education, to create a much more free and open system focused on learning. The scenario we describe suggests that Africa can shape these changes to benefit its own development, but that if it fails to do so, it will be left behind and will end up impacted negatively by the changes that are inevitable. We list the adjustments required at the level of institutions of higher education to become leaders of Education 3.0 and present some of the activities that the University of the Western Cape is undertaking in this area. Finally, we offer a fictional short story to provide an Education 3.0 narrative.
