The highest incidence was found among children aged 12-23 months. This study aims to examine association between delayed access to health care facilities and severity of children pneumonia. Methods: A case control study was conducted in Denpasar City. A total of 132 children were recruited to participate in this study, consisted of 44 cases and 88 controls. Cases were selected from 161 children with severe pneumonia who registered at Pulmonology Department of Sanglah General Hospital between January 2015 to April 2016. Cases and controls were matched by sex. Data were collected by interview with the parents in their houses. Data were analysed using multivariate analysis with logistic regression. Results: Risk factors associated to severity of pneumonia among children aged 12-59 months were delayed access to treatment for more than three days (AOR=2.15;95%CI: 1.39-3.32), non-health care facilities at first episode of illness (AOR=4.02; 95%CI: 1.53-10.61) and frequent episodes of respiratory infections (>4 times) over the last 6 months (AOR=5.45; 95%CI: 2.13-13.96).Conclusion: Delayed access to treatment, did not access healthcare facilities at first episode of illness, and high frequency of acute respiratory infections are risk factors of severe pneumonia among children.

Icelandic entry level nurses remain one of the best educated in the world and appear to have a positive attitude regarding integrative approaches as do many of their patients. A more organized effort is needed in Icelandic health care facilities and by Icelandic nurses and educators to develop and promote integrative nursing in Iceland. There is a unique opportunity for further growth in integrative nursing in Iceland due to the excellent educational background of nurses in Iceland, its unique proximity to various natural resources and a broad cultural acceptance of integrative modalities in Iceland.

Covid-19 pandemic has become a global problem that has an impact on almost all levels of society, both those with income and no income. Recommendations regarding the use of masks in the community, during home care, and in health care facilities in areas need to be mobilized massively. Current information indicates that the two main modes of transmission of the COVID-19 virus are respiratory droplets and contact. The use of masks has become a culture in life and daily activities so that the need for masks has increased. Therefore, it is necessary to have a stock of masks that are clean and of good type of cloth as prevention and first aid when doing activities outside the home. The condition of the residents in Penfui Village shows that not all are able to provide a large stock of masks for at least 1 house / small family. This situation prompted the Community Service team from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Undana to provide training in making cloth masks for the community in East Penfui Village.

We report an epidemic of Plasmodium falciparum malaria in the remote valley of Bamian [altitude 2250 m-2400 m] in the central highl and s of Afghanistan. A team of malaria experts from the World Health Organization and HealthNet International carried out the investigation. A total of 215 peripheral blood smears were obtained and 63 cases of malaria [90.5% P. falciparum, the remainder P. vivax] were confirmed. The study revealed that areas vulnerable to malaria in Afghanistan are more widespread than previously recognized. The area had been malaria-free until recently, when the disease appears to have been introduced as a consequence of protracted conflict and resultant population movement, and transmitted locally during the short summer months. The outbreak led to severe morbidity and high mortality in a province having only a few poorly-provisioned health care facilities
