This study purposes to describe the religious values in Harun Yahya’s fables. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The data source of this research was fable by Harun Yahya such as; Omar and the Penguin, Jamal and the Parrot, and Naeem and the Pretty Peacock. The data in this study could be a phrase, be it a noun phrase or verb, sentences and discourse fragment found in the fable. Data collection and analysis techniques used was content analysis techniques. The results showed that the religious value of character education appeared in the fables gave pieces of advice to the readers about getting closer to God Allah SWT.

The purpose of this study is to describe the types of use of language style in the collection of poems of “Dear You” by Moammar Emka published in 2011. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data source in this study is a collection of poems contained in the poem “Dear You” by Moammar Emka. Data collection techniques in research, using content analysis techniques (text). The results of this study indicate that the use of language style and the value of character education in the collection of poetry “Dear You” by MoammarEmka has a type of language style: (a) parables, (b) metaphors, (c) personification, (d) depersonification, (e) hyperbole, (f) litotes, (g) metonimia, (h) sinekdoke, (i) alliteration, and (j) asonance. Of the ten language styles, the data obtained were 117 data with the smallest data of four data, namely the style of asonance language and the most data of thirty-four data, namely the style of the metaphorical language.

The purpose of this research is to describe the illocutionary acts on one of Gita Savitri Devi’s Youtube Channel video entitled Kenapa kita membenci? Beropini eps. 46. The method use in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research are illocutionary acts spoken by Gita Savitri Devi in one of her Youtube Channel videos. The data source in this research is the narration delivered by Gita Savitri Devi in that video. The data collection techniques using hearken technique. Data analysis techniques in this research were carried out through the steps : (1) Data transcription, (2) Data classification, and (3) Data inference. The results obtained by the type of assertive illocutionary acts, directive illocutionary acts, and expresive illocutionary acts. While the types of commissive illocutionary acts and declaration illocutionary acts were not found in this research.

The YouTube page is the most favorite page for millennials. Although the main purpose of the content in the videos is to entertain, but unconsciously it is also able to influence the audience both cognitive, affective, and behavioral. Therefore, it is necessary to identify whether in the video content there are religious characters that can have a positive impact on the audience. This research aims to identify the character of religious values in videos by millennial YouTuber. Data collection method used is the documentation method, data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative content analysis techniques. The results showed that from the entire video uploaded on Ria Ricis Official, Atta Halilintar, and Rans Entertainment YouTube, there were 131 video contents those were used as analysis material. Based on the video analyzed, religious values are obtained which include the values of faith, Islam, ihsan, science, and charity.

Folklore is part of the community. So that there is no extinction then done as documentation such as folklore Candung Kawik who came from Lampung. Folklore is currently less desirable and does not have a place from the community; therefore, the research is done so that the story still exists. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of Islamic teachings contained in Candung Kawik folklore. The method used to find the values of Islamic teachings is a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis. The primary data source in this study is Lampung folklore. The technique of data collection is done by literature study and recording. The result showed that there were eight values of Islamic teachings, namely faith, Islam, ihsan, taqwa, sincerity, trust, gratitude, and patience. All the values of Islamic education are obtained from the learning and actions of the characters in the story and can be used as learning material.Cerita rakyat merupakan bagian dari kebudayaan masyarakat. Agar kebudayaan tidak punah maka dilakuakn suatu pendokumentasian seperti cerita rakyat Candung Kawik yang berasal dari Lampung. Cerita rakyat sekarang ini kurang diminati dan tidak mendapatkan tempat dari masyarakat, oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian agar ceritanya masih ada. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Candung Kawik. Metode yang digunakan untuk menemukan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis isi. Sumber data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah cerita rakyat Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pustaka dan pencatatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada delapan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam yaitu iman, islam, ihsan, taqwa, ikhlas, tawakal, syukur, dan sabar. Semua nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam didapat dari perilaku dan perbuatan para tokoh di dalam cerita dan dapat dijadikan bahan pembelajaran.

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis nilai pendidikan karakter dalam film Rudy Habibie sutradara Hanung Bramantyo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Peneliti menggunakan film Rudy Habibie yang disutradarai oleh Hanung Bramantyo sebagai sumber data yang digunakan. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif dan teknik penganalisisan data dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan, terdapat nilai pendidikan karakter di dalam film Rudy Habibie meliputi nilai religius, kerja keras, peduli sosial, jujur, kreatif, gemar membaca, demokratis, tanggung jawab, dan cinta tanah air, dan dapat dijadikan pedoman bagi guru maupun peserta didik untuk bersikap yang baik dalam menjalankan kehidupan sehari-hari berdasarkan nilai-nilai kebaikan yang ada. Kata-kata kunci: Nilai pendidikan karakter, film, sosiologi sastra. AbstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze the value of character education in the film Rudy Habibie directed by Hanung Bramantyo. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The approach used is the sociology of literature approach. The researcher used the Rudy Habibie film, directed by Hanung Bramantyo as the source of the data used. The research technique used is data collection techniques using descriptive techniques and data analyzing techniques using content analysis techniques. The results of the research and discussion that have been carried out, there are values of character education in Rudy Habibie's films which include religious values, hard work, social care, honesty, creativity, love of reading, democracy, responsibility, and love for the country, and can be used as guidelines for teachers. as well as students to behave well in carrying out daily life based on existing good values. Key words: The value of character education, film, sociology of literature.

News providers today offer interactive sources that engage people, enable them to build community, and to participate in the news. At the same time, the digital interfaces through which people access the news are continuingly evolving, diverse, and oftentimes visually complex. How these factors shape human information seeking in news-oriented virtual communities is a relatively new area of study and therefore greater understanding of their influence on human behavior is of much practical value. In this chapter, the authors explore trends and developments in news-oriented virtual communities. They review several data collection and analysis techniques such as content analysis, usability testing and eye-tracking and propose that these techniques and associated tools can aid the study of news communities. They examine the implications these techniques have for better understanding human behavior in virtual communities as well as for improving the design of these environments.

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memahami secara komprehensif nilai-nilai humaniora dalam antologi puisi "Blues untuk Bonnie" karya WS Rendra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi pustaka, dan teknik analisis data dengan analisis isi melalui kajian struktural semiotik. Hasil penelitian yakni antologi puisi Blues untuk Bonnie karya WS Rendra mengandung nilai-nilai humaniora yang terlihat melalui tanda-tanda semiotik berupa moralitas, simpati, empati, kasih sayang, kepedulian, kerjasama, dan toleransi. Temuan penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa masih banyak jenis-jenis karya sastra yang dapat dijadikan objek kajian dengan menggunakan pendekatan-pendekatan yang berbeda untuk mengungkap nilai-nilai pendidikan terutama pendidikan karakter bagi siswa dan mahasiswa. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan implikasi terhadap pengajaran sastra di sekolah lanjutan sampai perguruan tinggi dalam bentuk penyusunan bahan ajar atau pengembangan model pembelajaran apresiasi sastra sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah pendidikan karater bangsa. Kata Kunci: Nilai-nilai humaniora, antologi puisi, kajian struktural semiotik Abstract The objective of this research is to understand comprehensively the humanities values in antology of poetry "Blues for Bonnie" by WS Rendra. The research used content analysis method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are used library study and data analysis techniques with content analysis through the study of structuralism semiotic. The result was the antology of poetry 'Blues for Bonnie" by WS Rendra contains humanities values seen through semiotic signs are morality, symphaty, empbaty, love, care, togetherness, and tolerant. The findings lead to the recomendation that there are still many kinds of literary works which can be the object of research by using different approaches for investigating education characters! values for students. This finding implicates to literary instruction in schools to universities in forms of teaching materials or literary appreciation instruction as one of the alternative problem solving of the nation character education. AbstrakPenelitian ini adalah penelitian dasar (basic research) yang mencoba untuk mengkaji metode penciptaan karya seni murni bentuk representasional, simbolik dan abstrak. Kajian dilakukan terhadap beberapa seniman lukis, grafis dan patung di empat kota dalam wilayah Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data utama dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan sumber primer, yaitu seniman. Sedangkan data tidak langsung dikumpulkan melalui jurnal, buku, video foto, katalog pameran, karya-karya seniman, dan dokumen-dokumen terkait. Teknik analisis data dilakukan sebelum di lapangan dan di lapangan. Temuan penelitian ini adalah berupa metode yang spesifik, lebih operasional dan teknis tentang penciptaan karya seni murni bentuk representasional, simbolik dan abstrak.  Kata Kunci: Metode, Representasional, Simbolik, Abstrak.AbstractThis research is a basic research which tries to examine the method of creating pure works of representational, symbolic and abstract forms. The study was carried out on several painters, engravers and sculptors in four cities in the West Sumatra region of Indonesia. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The main data collection techniques are carried out through observation and interviews with primary sources, namely artists. While indirect data is collected through journals, books, videos, photos, exhibition catalogs, works of artists, and related documents. Data analysis techniques were carried out before on the field and in the field. The findings of this study are in the form of specific, more operational and technical methods about the creation of pure works of representational, symbolic and abstract forms. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe the aspects of pluralism in literature as a portrait of socio-cultural society and to describe the aspects of pluralism as a literary material for character education, in particular, the affirmation of student nationalism. Methodology: This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. Data source are literary works containing pluralism dimensions in poetry, fiction, and drama genres. Data collection through library study techniques and in-depth interviewing and Focus Group Discussion. Data analysis is done by reading the method of the semiotic model including heuristic reading (language level) and hermeneutic reading (interpretation level of meaning). Results: Result of research and discussion are the aspect of pluralism in literature is a portrait of socio-cultural condition of diversity at society and the aspects of pluralism can be stressing as a literary material for character education, especially the affirmation of nationalism of school students. Implications: Thus, pluralism literature is a literature that expresses the notions of diversity that reflect the real portrait of the Indonesian nation.

This paper is entitled Analysis of Slangs Used by Characters in Movie Script “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”. The aims of this study are to identify and classify based on the types of slang word, this paper also described the context of situation of slang used in the movie script I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. The data source was taken from the movie script I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell (2009). The data collection was conducted through library research method and note taking technique. The first step was done through reading attentively, noting the slang word, and classifying based on the types of slang and context of situation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method with the theory of Allan and Burridge (2006) for types of slang and theory of context of situation proposed by Holmes (2013). The result of analysis shows that there are four types of slang used by character in I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell movie script. Meanwhile, for the context of situation there are four components. The meaning behind each slang words and phrases in I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell movie script depends on the context of situation. Besides, the interpretation of meaning takes important roles in the analysis.
