Ergonomic measurement is essential to see whether the object follows the users' dimensions, especially mothers and their babies. The object of this research is the lactation rooms located in several general hospitals in Surakarta. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach supported by quantitative data, or in other words, a dual research strategy, which is the use of multiple methods in solving a research problem. The quantitative here use numerical data, which results from field measurements, then compared with referred references, resource persons, and analyzed based on the researchers' interpretation. This research's results were in lactation rooms in terms of ergonomics/anthropometry and lactation room standards. Moreover, this also serves as an input to stakeholders to provide good public facilities following ergonomic lactation rooms to function optimally. These beginner research results are also expected to enrich learning sources related to Ergonomics, Interior Design, and Furniture in Interior Design Study Program ISI Surakarta.

The process of design explicates the procedural knowledge of design activities, shifting theoretical conceptions across practical dimensions. Design thinking, as a creative and innovative methodology, has been established as a designerly process for non-designers to address complex problems. This article reviews the implications of introducing the design thinking methodology as a pedagogical approach in design education at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, generating new knowledge to inform the research spaces of design practice and theory. Using the design thinking methodology as a sound framework to facilitate risk-taking decisions in design research and practice, students from the design specialisms of Design Communication, Product Design and Interior Design were inducted into an interdisciplinary project. The perspectives and insights arising from the collaborative, design thinking methodology are extracted, analysed and adapted to form a framework to illustrate the non-linear, circular structures of knowledge generation from theory (designerly knowing) to practice (design thinking) and research (design knowing).

Empirical urban design research emphasizes the support in vitality of public space use. We examine the extent to which a public space intervention promoted liveliness and three key behaviors that enhance well-being (“connect,” “be active,” and “take notice”). The exploratory study combined directly observed behaviors with self-reported, before and after community-led physical improvements to a public space in central Manchester (the United Kingdom). Observation data ( n = 22,956) and surveys (subsample = 212) were collected over two 3-week periods. The intervention brought significant and substantial increases in liveliness of the space and well-being activities. None of these activities showed increases in a control space during the same periods. The findings demonstrate the feasibility of the research methods, and the impact of improved quality of outdoor neighborhood space on liveliness and well-being activities. The local community also played a key role in conceiving of and delivering an effective and affordable intervention. The findings have implications for researchers, policy makers, and communities alike.

The experiential element (whom exponential use of digital solution is just an exterior consequence) will increasing more and more and will bring to ostensive solutions development looking to new classifying parameters capable in enclosing several simultaneous organizing relationships. These parameters represents many super-structural rationalization process aptitudes that draw close true courses and imaginary tours, into complex changeable landscapes where raise to the surface place, objects and viewers sense and myths, made by production act, supervising to thoughts and actions as independent and symbiotic designer and visitor condition.
