Nowadays the mass media is experiencing very rapid development. Various positive and negative impacts certainly cannot be ignored. This impact hits parents, adults, teenagers and children. Adolescents are a group that is vulnerable to the negative effects of mass media by which media literacy movements emerge as solutive actions over concerns about negative media influences. The ability of media literacy is very necessary so that the media can be used intelligently and wisely. The purpose of this study are: (1) To determine the level of technical skills (technical expertise) of SMA Negeri 17 Makassar students in accessing computer and internet media; (2) To describe the level of critical understanding (critical understanding) of SMA Negeri 17 Makassar students in analyzing and evaluating computer and internet media content; (3) To understand the level of communicative abilities (communication skills) of SMA Negeri 17 Makassar students in establishing social relations through internet media and creating creative internet media content; (4) To find out the level of media literacy of SMA 17 Makassar students. The results of this study indicate that cumulatively the level of technical skill ability is at 99.5%, the level of critical understanding capability is at 74.7%, the level of communicative abilities is at a value of 110.3%. By referring to the values above, the level of media literacy of Makassar 17 Public High School students is 94.83% or at the Medium level.

This paper is based on research on coffee shops as a modern public space in the information age. This study tries to examine the existence of modern public space in the form of social communities along with more coffee shop emerges as new business trends in Jakarta. One of many coffee shop business is Kedai Suguh Kopi in the West Jakarta Region. In contrast to the concept of a cafe, or a coffee shop which mostly serves only coffee and stunning interior design that might lurks customer for their so-called “instagramable”, one interesting thing about this shop is that coffee is not served to release the sleepy feeling but it witness and become a reason of the birth of an art community that contains freedom of expression without pressure.

Cigarettes are the product that leads to the pros and cons the people of Indonesia. Negative effects due to smoking no doubt, substances in cigarettes to be an indicator of various diseases of cigarettes to consumers. The government has issued a rule requiring cigarette manufacturers to the dangers of smoking message by including images warning of the dangers of smoking. This study aims to determine the perceptions of community members regarding visual warning label smoked edition of "lungs damaged". Data collection techniques used in this research through interviews, observation, documentation. This study refers to the theories of perception ecology, how the stages of processing human perception occurs, that man's way of responding to a stimulus environmental, cultural backgrounds and communities, through the method of the message fear appeals, on delivery through media spooky image on cigarette packs. Results of research conducted by researchers at the community Arsenal Indonesian Supporter is a positive perception of the members of that community, and the message delivered by the government through the media picture warnings to be put on artificial cigarette packs in particular edition of "lungs damaged" conveyed properly, it is evident by reduced consumption rate of smokers in the community. Thus, it can be concluded that government regulation regarding the rules for the inclusion of the dangers of smoking images on cigarette packs is a good effort although still not very effective but enough make community members AIS Bandung smokers reduce smoking intensity and some have quit smoking.

The increasing of internet usage triggered the growth of social media activity. One of the social media which rose significantly is Line. Three years after Line debut, statistic showed that Line has 470 million users and the application has been downloaded over 1 million times in all over the world.This research is to determine what factors that influence people in Bandung City in deciding to choose social media Line. The theory that used in this research isStimulus Organism Respons Theory.. This research is using a descriptive method to visualize systematically, factually and accuracy regarding facts, characters and relation with the phenomena to be explored. Done by a survey to 180 people of Bandung City which have been chosen through multi-usage cluster sampling technique. Data that has been gathered then handle with using analysis factor method on SPSS 20.This research resulted in three factors which became the factor in choosing social media Line in Bandung area that has been obtained through analysis factor process. Those three factors in sequence are Networking Interactions factor consist of interaction and networking, User Information factor, including information, Social Simulation, User content  and Archive factor. The rest another factor that owned by the user in choosing social media Line in Bandung area.

This research discusses about law No. 14 year 2008, the openness of public information implemented by the officers of the information and documentation Officer (PPID) Kemkominfo. The Act on public information disclosure aims to improve the management, service of information, and encourage public participation in the conduct of the State so as to realize the system of good governance. The purpose of this research is to describe how the Official information and documentation Manager (PPID) of the Ministry of communication and Informatics of carrying out the implementation of law No. 14 year 2008 about the openness of public information. The method used in this research is descriptive in nature with qualitative data collection techniques in the form of interviews with the informant Acting Manager of information and documentation. Data analysis techniques using models, Miles and Huberman that consists of data collection, data reduction, data display and verification, and assertion inference. Examination technique benefiting using triangulation of sources. The results of this research show the implementation ACT KIP done with through the six steps, namely: designating the PPID, build and make the system functional officials, pointing to information (public relations, archives, computer), providing information in the form (text, video, sound, infographics), providing information services in the form of front desk and website, as well as compiling daily, monthly and annual reports.

Tasik Dare to Reduce waste is a message delivered in increasing community action to reduce the level of waste in Tasikmalaya City. Through this campaign, it can convey a message and also at the same time introduce that Nurhayati cares and contributes in realizing the vision of the Tasik Kota Resik. Typical activities in this campaign are publications and documentation. The target public of this campaign is the people of the City of Tasikmalaya, especially the millennial. The model used in this study is The PII Model. In terms of time, this campaign only runs for about two months. Because this campaign is one of the DPR RI's campaign programs, so its focus is divided with other programs. Besides the preparation of the organizers, the authors also considered not professional enough because the committee was filled by individuals who were still learning and had not much experience. The firmer and clearer lines of coordination must build a more professional work culture.

The main issues of this research are 1) Community responses from Wonorejo Village, Mangkutana Subdistrict, East Luwu Regency to Da'wahtainment Islam itu Indah on Trans TV 2) Factors that encourage the public to watch the Islamic Da'wahwah program that is Beautiful on Trans TV. The results of this study are; Demonstrating responses The people of Wonorejo Village are more interested in propaganda material that is 'akhlakul karimah' with a light and simple material delivery. Because, the material is more often found in everyday life. Factors that encourage the public to witness Islam itu Indah’s propaganda programs on Trans TV are the delivery of interesting and easily understood propaganda material, the theme presented is very interesting to the viewer, the desires and needs of the community towards propaganda are very complex with themes related to daily life. That is akhlakul karimah.

This study aims to understand PT.Boddia Jaya's marketing communication model in attracting foreign parties. In addition, it is also to find out the obstacles experienced by PT.Boddia Jaya's company when communicating with foreign parties. The source of research data is the marketing division, Quality Control, and Front Desk of PT.Boddia Jaya. Data collection techniques namely observation and interviews. The results of research conducted at PT. Boddia Jaya can be concluded that there are three marketing communication strategies for foreign parties, namely Advertising, Advertising (by email) and Packaging (packaging). The strategy carried out by this company has been around since it first exported abroad. Even so, the three strategies that were carried out in establishing cooperation between PT.Boddia Jaya with foreign parties also experienced obstacles in communication. This is due to cultural and linguistic differences and also the great distances that make marketing communication between the two parties ever hampered. To overcome these obstacles, both parties learn each other's language and culture.

Disaster representation of series photo “Toilet stories after earthquake –tsunami Palu (Analysis Study On series photo by Beawiharta)  analyzed by using Barthes semiotics that was about denotation, connotation and myth. Data sources were primary data sources (photographs) and secondary data sources (literature that supports primary data such as dictionaries, internet, thesis, books). The method used in this study is a qualitative research method that is descriptive analysis, i.e. research that provides an objective picture, with Barthes analysis of photo series.  This study chose 1 representative photo from 10 photos at the series. The photo showed toilet among debris at Mamboro and Talisse Beach, Palu, Central Sulawesi. The conclusion of the research showed that 1. Photo visualized aftermath by showing contrast between toilet and debris. 2. Photo visualized massive destruction that force citizen to rebuild their life. 3. There is myth cause of earthquake and tsunami.

Television programs present something to be liked. In addition, it must also give a message that brings influence to life in society. The problem of this research is how the housewives' perception of Gamtufkange Urban Village on gender roles in the Reverse World comedy soap opera on RCTI, with the aim of Knowing the perception of Gamtufkange Urban Housewives towards gender roles in the comedy of Reverse World comedy. This research uses a qualitative approach. With primary data sources from informant interviews and secondary data. Data were analyzed using five factors that influence perceptions according to Deddy Mulyana, namely perceptions based on experience, perceptions are selective, perceptions are presumptive, perceptions are evaluative and perceptions are contextual. The theoretical foundation used in this study is the Stimulus-Organism-Response Theory. The results of the study concluded that some housewives disagreed with the role of gender in the soap opera "Reverse World" by reason of their irregularities and cultural and religious norms. Men do not deserve the role that should be done by women in the home. While housewives who agreed to gender roles in the soap opera shows reasoned, a wife working to help their husbands was not taboo and could be accepted. The wife can work to help the family economy, but still must be responsible for taking care of the family.
