The aims of this study is to find out the understanding DPR members agains gender mainstreaming in DPRD Medan. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. After in-depth interviews with 5 Members of the DPRD Medan, the researcher can conclude that: 1. Members DPRD Medan do not yet understand the term gender mainstreaming in development. 2. Members DPRD Medan have not provided full support for the acceleration of the development of women's empowerment and child protection. These two things are seen from the lack of DPRD initiative rights in the drafting of a specific Regional Regulation on the Protection of Women and Children in the City of Medan. 3. Between the Legislature and the Executive does not have an understanding of the protection of women and children, the executive should propose a draft regulation on the protection of women and children to be endorsed as a regional regulation.

Information is an important factor for the company because it is one resource that can be processed to support business activities amid increasingly fierce competition. The role is a management information system to manage data, organizing, and retrieving information that helps organizations to provide services faster, more accurately and more easily, which affects also the performance level. Use of information systems can effectively improve the performance of employees. The research is a qualitative case study approach in Purwokerto Gramedia ELTI by conducting in-depth interviews to 6 employees. The quality of information systems and services to operationalize the system makes employees work more produktift, effective and efficient.

AbstractNorth Sulawesi is one of the provinces in Indonesia which have large fisheries potential. The province has made the results of operations and marine fisheries as one of the featured products to spur increase revenue. Then formulated some questions that become problems in this study 1). How is the post-moratorium fishing company in Bitung 2). Is this moratorium policy implementation can enhance the progress of the fishing company in Bitung 3). How do enterprise solutions to meet the needs of the company, when applied moratorium on fishing in Bitung.This study aims to 1) .To obtain scientific data about the condition of the fishing company Post moratorium on fishing in Bitung 2) .To determine the effect of the implementation of the moratorium policy of the condition of the fishing company in Bitung. The method used in this research case study approach. Retrieval of data taken in two fishing companies, namely PT. Sari Tuna Makmur and PT. Blue Ocean Grace International in Bitung City District of Aertembaga, data collection is done by observation and in-depth interviews. 1.Conditions fishing company in Bitung post-moratorium by the Minister of Marine and Fisheries in November 2014 are as follows: a) The number of vessels decreased from 3,213 in 2014 to 2,222 in 2015 and then rose to 3,165 in 2016. b) Production of fish reduced from 111,315.53 in 2014 to 45208.52 in 2015 then production rises, namely 46522.77 2016. c) The increase in the market price of skipjack Winenet, Girian and TPI of the normal price 12500-14000, in 2014 rose to 17000-20000 in 2015 and 2016. As for the Tuna from the standard price of 32000-35000 in 2014 and rose to 50000-55000 in 2015 and 2016. Then for the fish Deho from 5000-8000 at the normal price in 2014, rose to 9000-12000 in 2015, and rose to 12,000-15,000 in 2016. d) Increased export of fishery company PT. STM of 196,034.50 in 2014 to 294,911.4 in 2015 and falling back to 200,403.95 in 2016. e) The increase in exports of fishery company PT. Bogi of 116,196.20 in 2015 to 285,797.3 in 2016. 2. Moratorium Policy turn out to be a positive impact on the company's progress fishery indicated by the decline in the economic sector in Bitung. 3. It was not able to improve the progress of the fishing company in the city of Bitung in general and in particular. 1. moratorium greatly affect the fishing company therefore Policy Minister about the moratorium should be revoked. 2. This study still needs further research is therefore suggested that interested readers can conduct advanced research.Keywords: fisheries, companies, moratorium, conditions

Self-stigma experienced by people who experience schizophrenia has influence on reduced self-esteem, on powerlessness, the weakening of hope, and a motivation towards recovery. The aim of this study is to explain the efforts of people suffering schizophrenia to manage their self-stigma through self-control, using a case study approach. Based on the purposive sampling technique, five people with schizophrenia were selected as the cases to be studied. Data collection techniques utilized in-depth interviews, observation, and documentary studies. The analysis of the study data employed the stages of data reduction, data display, and data verification. Improvement in study quality employed the triangulation of data sources by checking the data to determine its consistency. The results of this study indicate that people with schizophrenia who have the ability to self-control can overcome self-stigma through changes in the manner of viewing themselves, self-training through activities, having endurance, having an honest approach, being able to explain schizophrenia from a positive viewpoint, having initiative, and having a positive attitude and the courage to face challenges.

COVID-19 and the shift to online teaching necessitated a change in approach for English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teachers in preparing their students for university studies. This study explored how EAP instructors coped with and adapted their provision for emergency remote teaching. The study was conducted at an English-medium university in Hong Kong and a qualitative case study approach was adopted. The results revealed two overarching themes of opportunity and challenge. While the sudden shift to online teaching forced innovation and fostered collaborative learning and feedback, teachers experienced difficulties in communicating with students and monitoring their learning. The study voices teacher perspectives in delivering EAP courses online and highlights important implications for the successful delivery of future online EAP provisions.

People in Jambi city assume that Pasar Hong Kong, a traditional market located in Jelutung sub-district, is “a Chinese market”, even some areas in the city of Jambi such as Jelutung, Koni, and Talang Banjar are dominated by the ethnic of Chinese. This research aims to explore how social inequality that occurs due to the advantages and disadvantages of an ethnic group so that it can affect individual attitudes that damage social capital. This research uses a case study approach with in-depth interviews and literature study as data collection techniques. The subjects of this study were ethnic Malay and Chinese female merchants in Pasar Hong Kong, Jambi city, Indonesia. This research found that social inequalities that occur among the female merchants of ethnic Malay and Chinese in Pasar Hongkong occur naturally, where both merchants and buyers have a high tolerance when interacting. Although sometimes there are differences in attitude when the merchants serve different ethnic buyers. The involvement of traditional leaders in managing social inequalities is very important due to the lack of assimilation among ethnic Malay and Chinese.

AbstrakThis study aims to determine the background and motivating factors for survivors to become local volunteers in the earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction natural disasters that occurred on September 28 in the city of Palu. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of the study showed that being a survivor's background in volunteering was a position as a board or member of Muhammadiyah, and there was also an interest in MDMC work. The driving factors (1) imply the meaning of Al Maun, be useful human beings, (2) as an act of gratitude, (3) an expression of gratitude for the opportunity of life given by God, (4) working as a volunteer becomes one of the ways to restore emotions.Keywords : survivor, volunteer, humanitarian organizations

The phenomenon of the poor quality of parental care for children with disabilities makes resilience one of the psychological capital that contributes to improving the quality of care. This study describes how through a muhasabah intervention in Blimbingrejo Village, Nalumsari District, Jepara Regency. The purpose of this study was to provide information for parents of children with special needs about muhasabah interventions in developing the resilience abilities of parents when carrying out their care. The urgency of this research is to reduce parenting stress experienced by parents because of the developmental barriers of their children. This research is qualitative with a case study approach through in-depth interviews and observation techniques. The study results explain that the condition of children with special needs is often a stressor for their parents. However, parents can live with complete steadfastness as a form of their resilience. The pattern of resilience formed is supported mainly by thinking about what they are trying to do. There are indications of the meaning of resilience factors in the practice of muhasabah in the form of the ability to regulate emotions, develop optimism and empathy, control impulses and causal analysis, good self-efficacy and take wisdom as an indication of aspects of the reaching out process. The results of this study are helpful information in developing the concept and practice of caring for children with special needs.

Choosing a career as an Islamic teacher has many challenges as well as fun, not everyone is interested in this profession except those who have strong motivation. This study aims to find out the real motivation of students to select department of Islamic teaching education in public university, even though this department is widely offered by state and private Islamic universities. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach (case study design). Sources of data were taken from thirty informants through in-depth interviews selected using a purposive sampling technique, all informants were active students who chose the department of Islamic teaching education at Padang State University in 2017, 2018 and 2019. All interviews were analyzed thematically using the NVivo 10 qualitative analysis software. The results of the analysis showed that there were seven motivations of students to select department of Islamic teaching education. Those seven motivations are: i) self-will, ii) parents' encouragement, iii) choice to become a religious teacher, iv) job opportunities after graduation, v) desire to study at public universities vi) opportunity to spread dakwah, vii) to deepen Islamic knowledge. The results of this study can be used as preliminary data for subsequent researchers to examine this problem in different contexts and issues.

The effort to preserve the beauty of the environment is an obligation for every social creature that lives on this earth. These efforts are carried out and planned so that every human being has a caring attitude and responsibility with the surrounding environment. In educational institutions the role of a teacher cannot be separated in the educational process. To realize students as quality resources cannot be separated from the environment. This article intends to explain about environmental education in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 7 Jombang. With a qualitative case study approach, this research was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the discussion from the research show that, in the implementation of their roles and participation in forming and increasing environmental awareness by teachers, students are well implemented. Most of them have a caring attitude to their environment, which is proven by their daily habits, which is to dispose of waste according to the space provided. It's just that for minorities who are still indifferent to the environment, support and encouragement from teachers need to be increased so that all madrasa residents, especially students, have positive behavior, be aware and care about the surrounding environmen

Pedagogical integration of technologies is a fairly new concept in education. Educational institutions need to have prerequisite planning for leadership in pedagogical integration of emerging technologies. This chapter investigates institutional leadership that enables educators to build capacity to effectively integrate technology into pedagogy. Using a qualitative case study approach, leaders were interviewed and official documents analyzed. The data analyzed indicate that institutional leadership facilitates increased acquisition of and access to technology devices and facilities. It is found that institutional leadership is pivotal in supporting, training, and innovatively exploring various ways of integrating technologies into the curriculum. It is thus concluded that in this era institutions need leaders who proactively engage in planning for integration of technologies for transformed pedagogic practices.
