The word “Purush" in its most social sense means man but in the aspect of Ayurveda, the term purush is repre- sented as atma or chetana dhatu (chetana-life and dhatu-element). The concept of the existence of atman (soul) is generally not accepted by modern science. According to Indian philosophy, the ultimate truth or absolute soul is one and he is Chetana (Sarvam Khalu Idam Brahm). Treatment of Panchmahabhut Sharir with presence of purush is known as Chikitsya Purush. Purush is supreme soul, pure conscious, unchanging, immortal neither birth nor death. It is essential for the creation of the universe and the living world. In the presence of purush gains knowledge through the mind. All the actions through karmendriyas, desire, pleasure, pain, life and death are per- formed. The purush (Kshetrajy) is lord of the house (Kshetra). The role of Purush in Srusti is laya & parlay which is the same as catalyst’s work in a reversible reaction. Keywords: Purush, Types, Karma Chikitsa, Chaturvinshatika, Rashi, Punarjanma

Именно эколософия может являться тем каркасом, который через мировоззрение свяжет природную и культурною системы в единое целое. the article deals with the issues of qualitative changes taking place in modern society. The generator of these changes is the sixth scientific and technical revolution and the transition from a man-made society to an information society. The author emphasizes the need to form a new worldview, which will make it possible to implement this change not in a revolutionary, but in an evolutionary way. Special attention is paid to the education system, which is the basis for the progressive movement of society in these transformations. There is a need to shift the focus from technical changes taking place in society to the human being, his development, upbringing, and education. According to the author, the driver of these processes can be ecophilosophy as a worldview aspect of the transformations taking place in society. Ecophilosophy can be the framework that connects the natural and cultural systems into a single whole through the worldview.

Muslims today employ various and often conflicting strategies to mitigate contradictions between traditional Islamic teachings and modern science, especially in matters related to the age of the universe and the origin of humans. On the one hand, any scientific theory deemed problematic might be rejected outright; on the other, Islamic texts may be reinterpreted to fully support a novel scientific theory. There is, however, an alternative hermeneutical approach that uses intra-textual analysis to acknowledge “interpretative latitude” in the Qurʾān and other Islamic texts – the possibility that these texts allow for ambiguity and multiple interpretations that may or may not agree with modern science. In this paper, human evolution will serve as a case study of the implementation of this approach via a structured discussion of common Muslim objections to the theory. The paper will conclude with a discussion of the implications of this approach on defining the role of the Qurʾān and on the boundaries of religion and science.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused major changes in almost all aspects of life, one of which is the education system. Changes in the education system make it difficult for students to receive the material, especially students at the Elementary School and Kindergarten levels, because learning that is usually done conventionally turns into distance-learning or done online, the implementation of which cannot be separated from the use of technology information. This journal aims to examine the role of technology in the implementation of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, besides that it also examines the challenges of education during the Covid-19 pandemic using descriptive-analytical literature methods. The results and conclusions in this paper show that technology has an important role in the implementation of learning, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic like today. Technology plays a role as a medium in making interactions between educators and students in the implementation of online learning. In addition, technology also plays a role in facilitating educators to deliver learning material so that learning continues even though it is not done face to face. In the implementation of online learning, of course, there are obstacles that become challenges for educations actors, related to academic culture, including values, attitudes, knowledge, skills, and readiness of technology-related facilities and infrastructure. The implementation of literacy and training related to the use of technology can be a solution to facing some of the challenges of online learning during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

This article is focused on some conditions in today’s world of globalized media, which are producing either an uncritical acquiescence or fright in Muslim societies as a result of the interaction between these societies and the contemporary Western powers that represent modernity and postmodernity on the global stage. The rise of fundamentalism, a tendency toward returning to the roots and stringently insisting upon some pure and literal interpretation of them, in almost all the religions of the world is a manifestation of this fright. The central concern of this article is to suggest that fundamentalism is neither the only nor the most reasonable response for Muslim societies in the face of contemporary modernity. Muslims need to adopt an independent and critical attitude toward modernity and reshape their societies in the light of the ethics of the Qur’an, keeping in view the historical link between Islam and science in as much as Islamic culture paved the way for emergence of modern science during European Renaissance. The necessity of a pluralistic or contextualized modernization of Muslim societies is discussed along with the need for the removal of cultural duplicity in the role of the West in relation to Muslim societies. All this leads to an overall proposal for modernization which is given towards the end.

The current paradigm shift toward promoting education for sustainable development gravitates toward alternative approaches to school curricula in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is argued that solutions to problems that currently plague the continent and with reference to the Kenyan context must proceed from understanding of local capacities such as the role of indigenous knowledge in promoting sustainable development. This can be achieved by integrating indigenous knowledge into the formal education system to address some of the knowledge deficiencies for development that is currently formulated from the western perspective. This approach challenges the dominance of western knowledge in Kenya’s school system that makes education disembodied from context. The purpose of this paper is to explore the meaning of indigenous knowledge, provide rationale for valuing indigenous knowledge in formal school system, examine the government’s efforts to indigenise curricula, and dilemmas to integrating indigenous knowledge in formal education with implications to teacher education programs.
