Reason and the Qur'an know each other and are recognized in Islamic science. In this context, many researchers are interested in examining the relationship of reason and the Qur'an. According to Dr Muhammad Nahadi, discussion of reason, the Qur'an in the context of knowledge is the concept of developing knowledge. In line with this development, the development of Islamic education in the context of the study of reason and the Qur'an is urgently needed, especially as a means of answering the challenges of education with global challenges. This type of research is literature research, which is a form of scientific reasoning argumentation appearance that describes the results of literature studies and the results of the author's thought about a problem/topic of study. And data collection techniques using library research techniques, or library research, with data processing techniques. The data analysis process begins by gathering all data about the reason and objectives of Islamic education in order to find out the implications of reason in achieving the objectives of Islamic education. The results of this study indicate that, first, reason is the power of thought that when used can lead a person to understand and comprehend the problem he is thinking about. AbstractThis study discusses the relation between religion and democracy; critical examination of the existence of Islamic parties in Indonesia. This study is a qualitative study based on library (library research). The approach used is descriptive qualitative which aims to illustrate or describe the reality that exists or what is happening or the actual reality of the object under study. Then interpreted in the form of a report. The approach used is the cultural anthropology approach. The results of this study indicate that Muslims interpret the relationship of religion and democracy to occur in three models, namely the negative, neutral and positive models. In the context of Islamic political parties in Indonesia, the basic problem is the inability of parties to package democratic issues, starting from the emergence of religious sentiment, politicization of religion, political pragmatism in PKS parties. Furthermore, the PPP party has problems with party regeneration, leadership dualism, and political attitudes. Kajian ini merupakan studi kualitatif berbasis kepustakaan (library research). Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran atau mendeskripsikan kenyataan yang ada atau apa yang terjadi atau kenyataan sebenarnya pada obyek yang diteliti. Kemudian diinterprestasikan dalam bentuk laporan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan antropologi budaya. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa kaum muslim memaknai bahwa relasi agama dan demokrasi terjadi dalam tiga model, yakni model negatif, netral, dan positif. Dalam konteks partai-partai politik Islam di Indonesia, problem mendasar adalah ketidakmampuan partai dalam mengemas isu-isu demokrasi, mulai dari muncul sentimen keagamaan, politisasi agama, pragmatisme politik pada partai PKS. Selanjutnya pada partai PPP terdapat masalah pada kaderisasi partai, dualisme kepemimpinan, dan sikap politik. Sedangkan pada partai PBB terlihat pada ketiadaan figur pemimpin  dan kultur politik.Kata Kunci: Agama, Demokrasi, Partai Islam

The systematic kinematic analysis method for planar link mechanisms based on their unique procedures can clearly show the analysis process. The analysis procedure is expressed by a combination of many kinds of conversion functions proposed as the minimum calculation units for analyzing a part of the mechanism. When it is desired to perform this systematic kinematics analysis for a specific linkage mechanism, expert researchers can accomplish the analysis by searching for the procedure by themselves, however, it is difficult for non-expert users to find the procedure. This paper proposes the automatic procedure extraction algorithm for the systematic kinematic analysis of closed-loop planar link mechanisms. By limiting the types of conversion functions to only geometric calculations that are related to the two-link chain, the analysis procedure can be represented by only one type transformation function, and the procedure extraction algorithm can be described as a algorithm searching computable 2-link chain. The configuration of mechanism is described as the “LJ-matrix”, which shows the relationship of connections between links with pairs. The algorithm consists of four sub-processes, namely, “LJ-matrix generator”, “Solver process”, “Add-link process”, and “Over-constraint resolver”. Inputting the sketch of the mechanism into the proposed algorithm, it automatically extracts unique analysis procedure and generate a kinematic analysis program as a MATLAB code based on it. Several mechanisms are analyzed as examples to show the usefulness of the proposed method.

<strong>Abstrak:</strong> Asumsi dasar kajian ini adalah hubungan Muslim dan Kristiani di Sumatera Utara berlangsung dalam berbagai domain dimana interaksinya bisa terjadi secara harmonis maupun disharmonis. Berpijak pada asumsi itu, fokus kajian ini akan menelaah bagaimana hubungan Muslim-Kristiani di Sumatera Utara berlangsung pada domain dunia pendidikan. Artikel ini hendak mengkaji hubungan Muslim dan Kristiani dalam dunia pendidikan. Secara khusus, akan diteliti bagaimana hubungan antara tokoh dan lembaga pendidikan Islam dan lembaga pendidikan Kristen dalam membangun kerukunan di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sosiologi Agama, sedangkan analisa data menggunakan pendekatan analisis domain dan analisis taxonomi yang diajukan Spradley. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa hubungan Muslim-Kristiani berlangsung secara harmonis. Banyak kasus dimana lembaga dan tokoh pendidikan mengadakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan kerukunan, selain lahirnya sejumlah karya yang dinilai dapat mendorong perubahan paradigma masyarakat tentang hubungan Islam dan Kristen.<br /> <br /><strong>Abstract: Muslim-Christian Relations in Educational Institution in North Sumatra. </strong>The basic assumption of this study is that the relationship between Muslims and Christians in North Sumatra takes place in various domains where interactions can occur harmoniously and disharmonically. Based on that assumption, the focus of this study is how the Muslim-Christian relationship in North Sumatra takes place in the domain of education. This article will examine the relationship between Muslims and Christians in education. In particular, will be examined how the relationship between figures and institutions of Islamic education and Christian educational institutions in building harmony in North Sumatra. The research was conducted by using Sociology of Religion, while data analysis using domain analysis approach and taxonomy analysis proposed by Spradley. The study found that Muslim-Christian relations are harmonious. Many cases where educational institutions and leaders conduct activities related to harmony, in addition to the birth of a number of works that are considered to encourage a change in the paradigm of society about the relationship of Islam and Christianity.<strong></strong><br /><strong> </strong><br /><strong>Kata Kunci</strong>: Muslim, Kristiani, pendidikan, agama-agama, dialog

Kecerdasan emosi adalah sebuah istilah umum, akan tetapi jika dikaji lebih dalam dan dipelajari isinya sebenarnya bukanlah hal baru. Dalam pengajaran Islam sendiri sudah termaktub dalam pendidikan seperti kesadaran diri (QS. Az Zumara: 15), pengendalian diri (QS. Al Hadid: 23), ketekunan, antusiame, motivasi diri (QS. Thaaha: 67-68 ), empati kepada sesama (QS. An Nur: 2), dan kemampuan sosial (QS. Al Hujurat: 13). Inti yang ingin didapatkan adalah bagaimana seseorang itu mengetahui, menguasai, dan mengontrol emosi yang biasanya merujuk kepada perilaku kedewasaan seseorang yang biasanya disebut kecerdasan emosi. Kaitan konsep kecerdasan emosi dan konsep pendidikan islam telah terlihat pada level kaitan kontrol diri dan relasi sosial antar manusia. Akan tetapi tidak bisa dipunkiri bahwa konsep kecerdasan emosi memiliki beberapa kekurangan dalam kaitannya dengan perkembangan dan peningkatan nilai penghambaan kepada Allah Emotional intelligence is indeed a relative term but when examined more deeply and study the actual contents are not considered new. In the Islamic teaching itself are included in the development of Islamic education such as self-awareness (QS. Az Zumara: 15), self-control (QS. Al Hadid: 23), perseverance, enthusiasm, motivation to self (QS. Thaaha: 67-68 ), empathy toward others (QS. An Nur: 2), and social skills (QS. Al Hujurat: 13). The procession in essence is resulted to how a person will know, master and control emotions all of which are often referred to maturity attitude of person namely emotional intelligence. The linkage concept of emotional intelligence to the concept of Islamic education has been seen at the level of the relationship of self (self-control) and social relations between human (horizontal). The development of Islamic education in Indonesia, among others, is marked by the gradual emergence of various educational institutions, ranging from very simple ones, to stages that are considered modern and complete. The research method in this article is qualitative with library research. Literature research through library research based on literature. This study aims to photograph the model of Islamic education in the archipelago. The results of this study indicate that changes in Islamic educational institutions, both classical and modern; starting from homes, mosques, Islamic boarding schools, schools to boarding schools and Islamic universities is a metamorphosis of Islamic educational institutions in the archipelago.

The growth and development of Islamic Education is inseparable from the growth of institutions. The Prophet made it happen by establishing institutions that had a role in developing and advancing Islamic education, one of which was a mosque. Research on the relationship of mosques with the social history of Islamic education is discussed by using descriptive qualitative methods that are oriented to literature review. This paper shows that in the early period of Islamic education, the Prophet provided exemplary by building and empowering mosques. The example of the Prophet continued with the Caliphs afterwards until the present era. The mosque was built by the Prophet from the Al Haram mosque located in Makkah, Quba Mosque located in Quba, Nabawi mosque located in Medina and so on. The role and function of the mosque at that time was as a place of prayer, a place of prayer, a place for discussion or deliberation, a meeting place to develop a war strategy and others related to the problems and needs of Muslims. From time to time, the role or function of the mosque has changed slightly. In essence, mosques are currently influencing the development of the social history of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract Fasting prayer has a very significant role for the growth of faith and congregation in the growth of the church because fasting prayer is their intimate relationship with God. The purpose of this paper answers the question: What is meant by fasting prayer? What is the relationship between fasting prayer and the Holy Spirit? What is the relationship between fasting prayer and shepherding leadership? What is the relation of fasting prayer in the growth of the Church? The research method uses descriptive literature research. The results of the study are: (1) fasting prayer is abstaining from all physical food for other bodies describing the consequences of fasting, namely: "suffering of the soul". (2) the relationship of fasting prayer with the Holy Spirit is fasting prayer which brings clarity of the way, the voice of the spirit, so that it will be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit to provide guidance in obtaining spiritual and material victory as well. (3) the relationship of fasting prayer with the leadership of the shepherding is a servant of God who truly is a servant of God whose life of prayer is accompanied by fasting. (4) the relation of fasting prayer in the growth of the Church is the pastoral service can help realize the need for maturity and encourage growth in spirituality.AbstrakDoa puasa mempunyai peran yang sangatlah signifikan bagi pertumbuhan iman dan jemaatnya dalam pertumbuhan gereja karena doa puasa merupakan hubungan intim mereka dengan Allah. Tujuan penulisan ini menjawab pertanyaan: Apakah yang dimaksud dengan doa puasa? Bagaimanakah relasi doa puasa dengan Roh Kudus? Bagaimanakah relasi doa puasa dengan kepemimpinan pengembalaan? Bagaimanakah relasi doa puasa dalam pertumbuhan Gereja? Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif literature. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) doa puasa adalah berpantang dengan semua makanan jasmani untuk tubuh yang lain menggambarkan akibat berpuasa, yaitu: “penderitaan jiwa”. (2) relasi doa puasa dengan Roh Kudus adalah doa puasa mendatangkan kejernihan jalan, akan suara roh, sehingga akan peka dengan suara Roh Kudus untuk memberikan bimbingan memperoleh kemenangan rohani dan materi juga. (3) relasi doa puasa dengan kepemimpinan pengembalaan adalah seorang hamba Tuhan yang sungguh sungguh adalah hamba Tuhan yang hidup doanya disertai puasa. (4) relasi doa puasa dalam pertumbuhan Gereja adalah pelayanan penggembalaan dapat menolong menyadari kebutuhan akan kedewasaan dan mendorong bertumbuh dalam kerohanian.

This article is written based on unique considerations in theworld of education and economic strategies in Islamic educational institutions. This research proposes a strategic framework that can help evaluate the relationship and linkages between economic strategies and Islamic education institutions. The evaluation is expected to be a material consideration in the management of economic strategies, so that the performance of Islamic education institutions can be improved. Institutional performance is evaluated using criteria that include productivity, cost reduction, innovation, reactivity, responsiveness, and collaboration. To get a complete picture in this article, a qualitative approach with the study of literature is used. The results of the study show that evaluating the relationship of economic strategy management in Islamic education institutions uses a framework. management functions include; planning, organizing, directing and controlling. Therefore, management is defined as the process of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the efforts of the organization with all its aspects so that organizational goals are achieved effectively and efficiently.

Piso Surit dance in Karo community has distinctive characteristics in its movement techniques, floor patterns, environmental ethical norms, and symbolic-philosophical images. All of these characteristics grow and develop in line with aspects of the living environment that have been integrated in each form of art. This study aims to explain: 1) the basis and rules of Piso Surit dance; and 2) the concept of  Piso Surit dance choreography. This study uses a choreographic-anthropological approach, which is to analyze the relationship of dance motion with the aesthetic choreographic concept of Piso Surit dance and Karo community's mindset. Observation, documentation, and interview techniques are used to collect data and then the triangulation data analysis process is carried out to obtain the credibility of the data. The results showed that the rules for the use and application of motive motives fall into two categories, namely for male dancers and female dancers. The application of the prevailing floor pattern is dealing with their partners, side by side, and encircling each other. The rules for the use and application of accompaniment patterns intend to create a unified nature that is subtle, gentle, and harmonious. In the concept of choreography, Piso Surit's dance movements are broken down into nine (9) sections. The movements use techniques such as: a) tiptoeing, b) rotating movements, c) stopping fingers, and d) up and down movements. The music used as accompaniment in the Piso Surit dance is a folk song in Karo area with the same title. This dance uses 'beautiful' make-up to emphasize the dancer's facial lines in a dance performance, while the fashion is a dress code as used by Karo community. As a pair dance, the floor pattern applied is to show or emphasize the story of how young Karo young people combine love.
