In the discourse of Koran studies in the West, the term ummah is often associated with religious and political communities. In its aftermath, this association has implications for understanding the ummah's vocabulary texts in the Qur'an. Toshihiko Izutsu, an Islamic scholar from Japan, introduced a new method of interpreting the Qur'an, namely a linguistic approach based on semantic theory. Izutsu uses the term ummah in the Qur'an as an issue he examines with this approach. Interpretation of the term ummah with a semantic approach is considered capable of presenting a variety of insights which he calls the Qur'anic weltanschauung. This article describes the framework of the semantic approach applied by Izutsu. The use of synchronic and diachronic approaches, as implemented by Izutsu, should be considered by scholars of the Qur'an, especially in presenting various insights in terms that have social implications.

To measure the progress of this cultural propaganda can be seen through the level of visitor interest in Islamic artifacts and the level of visitor visits. The method and sample conducted a survey of 25 visitors using a questionnaire. The results found that the level of interest on Islamic artifacts and culture that are influenced by Islam with intention of visiting visitors in the museum showed the interest and intentions of cultural da’wah because of intense communication according to the communication patterns or da’wa patterns prevailing in the museum where a person or group of people came, observed, studied and understood everything related to Islam and culture that has been influenced by Islam through artifacts in the Central Sulawesi Museum over and over again.

This research is motivated by the outstanding printed books that do not display interactive simulations by combining text, images, audio, video, and animation so that they are less attractive, the availability of communicative science learning media and have many interesting displays that have not yet been developed, teaching materials used in schools in the form of printed-based teaching materials such as physics textbooks and the availability of instructional media less utilizing existing technology in the learning process and lack of reading skills, interest in reading and lack of understanding of scientific concepts of students as well as the lazy nature possessed by students.  Research and teaching materials e -Book discovery based flipbook maker kvisoft aided learning is a research and development ( Research and Developmet) by adapting the procedural step, namely ADDIE Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation) and Evaluation (evaluation). The validity test of e- book teaching materials based on discovery learning assisted by Kvisoft Flipbook Maker was conducted by five experts, two material experts, two media experts and one linguist. Practicality test of discovery learning based e- book teaching material assisted by flipbook maker kvisoft by looking at the practicality questionnaire sheet by science educators and some students of class X-MIA MAN 2 Padang Pariaman. Test the effectiveness of discovery learning based e-book teaching materials using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker by looking at the scientific literacy of students using the effectiveness questionnaire sheets by class X-MIA MAN 2 students in Padang Pariaman. The results showed, e- book teaching materials based on discovery learning assisted by Kvisoft Flipbook Maker on material momentum and impulses and simple harmonious vibrations of class X-MIA MAN 2 Padang Pariaman on the ability of students' scientific literacy, learning materials based on Kvisoft discovery learning assisted by Kvisoft flipbook maker on the material of momentum and impulses and simple harmonic vibrations class X-MIA MAN 2 Padang Pariaman is very valid with an average of getting 88.7% for the material of momentum, impulses and simple harmonic vibrations with a very valid category. Practicality results obtained an average value of 88.49% categorized as very practical, while for the effectiveness of e- book learning materials based on Discovery Learning assisted by Flipbook Maker obtained an average value of 80.89% for the scientific literacy ability of students. The results can be concluded that the e-book teaching material based on discovery learning assisted by Koftoft Flipbook maker on material momentum, impulses, and simple harmonic vibrations is very valid, very practical, and effectively used in physics learning class X MIPA -1 MAN 2 Padang Pariaman.

Abstract   This study proposes an effective learning model to increase the quality of students’ empathy through simulation-based learning. The student’s noble behaviour as the  objective religious subject in schools can be reached by fostering empathy. But, conservative teaching techniques such as lecturing, presentation and one-way communication are used by most teachers. In contrast, the simulation based-learning model for religious education could involve the affective domain which is appropriate to be used for behaviour change. Peace education in religious education subjects can be elaborated proportionally using simulation based-learning for developing the empathy of student as an important factor to have better peace education results. By using qualitative method, author conducted interview, observation and literature review for further analysis of this study. Research results confirmed that teacher who apply simulation based learning as a suitable method to enhance empathy for elevated tolerant behavior of students which is in line with peace education view.  Keywords: Simulation-Based Learning, Empathy, Peace Education, Religious Education

Khairu Ummah appears in surah 3:110 associated to the society on which Prophet Muhammad lived. This term shows that there is a supreme concept of the highest level of civilization since the society of that period is considered as an excellent civilization. There are several requirements to fulfil in order to reach the status of khairu ummah, those are the promotion of virtue, prevention of vice, and Iman in Allah. However, those requirements are very general thus it is necessary to decipher specific aspect to reach one of them. In another surah, Al-Hujuraat (49), Allah detailly explains the major features of the Mu’minun (those who believe). Of the features is Tabayyun, appears in the sixth verse in the context of incoming information. Examining the semantic concept of Tabayyun is a step to reveal the specific aspect to gain the status of the ideal Ummah. This work is deciphering the concept of Tabayyun according to the Qur’an through two main approaches: Semantic analysis and Composition examination. These both methods are conducted by two distinguished contemporary scholars, Toshihiko Izutsu and Hamiduddin Al-Farahi, to find the philosophical meaning of a particular term from the Qur’an. Eventually, it is concluded that the Tabayyun definition is an important high-level social ethics that only true believer can perform it. The absence of Tabayyun leads not only to a wrong decision but to a major conflict in society even the disintegration of it.
