Mathematics learning in SMKN 1 Gerung considered by some students is a difficult and tedious lesson. Learning is still teacher-centered and leads to reduced activity and enthusiasm for students in learning. The purpose of this study is to improve student activity and achievement using Jerold E. Kemp-based PQ4R method on the subject matter of linear program of students of class X-TSM SMKN 1 Gerung academic year 2012/2013. This study was conducted using classroom action research (PTK). The number of subjects in this study was 24 people. Observation data of student and teacher activity is qualitative and student learning evaluation is quantitative data. The instruments used are RPP, student and teacher observation sheets, LKS, and evaluation tests. The results showed that there is an increase in student activity and achievement from first to second cycle. Increased student learning activities can be seen in the results of the first cycle of observation I (the category is quite active) and at the second meeting (active category). In cycle II at session I and II (active category). The completeness of learning cycle I is 56.52%, because in the first cycle of classical completeness has not met the required ≥85% of students who got the value of ≥75 then the research continued into the second cycle. Finally, through the improvements obtained classical completeness in the second cycle reached 87.50%. It can be concluded that the application of Jerold E. Kemp theory based on PQ4R method can increase student activity and achievement.

The purpose of this study was to improve mathematics learning activities and outcomes in fraction counting operations material through a two stay two stray cooperative learning model for students in class V MIN 8 Aceh Barat Daya Academic Year 2019/2020. The model used in this study is the two stay two stray cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students MIN 8 Southwest Aceh. The number of students is 35 students with a total of 14 male students and 21 female students. This research was conducted in the 2018/2019 school year within a period of 3 months, from September to November 2018 in odd semester. The methodology of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research procedure consisted of pre-research, planning cycle one, implementing cycle one, observing cycle one, reflection cycle one, planning cycle two, implementing cycle action two, observing cycle two and reflection cycle two. Data collection tech-nique is to collect the value of the test carried out at the end of each learning in each cycle using the question instrument (written test). Observation data is done by looking at student activities in the learn-ing process. Data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning activities in both cycles, from the category of being good enough and the good category increasing to very good. Completeness of student learning outcomes has increased from 39.13% in pre-study increased to 65.21% in the first cycle and increased to 86.95% in the second cycle. The application of the two stay two stray type of cooperative learning model can improve the activities and learning outcomes of students in mathematics in the calculation operations of fractions of students in grade V MIN 8 Aceh Barat Daya Academic Year 2019/2020.

Teacher has a very important role in creating an exciting and enjoyable learning environment in math lessons.Learning atmosphere is not exciting and fun for students usually to create learning activities that are less harmonious.As in SD 06 Perawang Barat is still low learning achievement of mathematics students, especially VD class with the number of students 32 people.Based on the mathematical repetition value of grade VD students contained in table 1 can be concluded that most students have not reached the established KKM that is 60 in 2012/2013           Another effort that teachers do is to provide practice questions (PR). Then the teacher also repeats the material that the students have not understood. But the effort made by the teacher has not achieved the expected result; low student learning achievement to mathematics is a material for researchers, that the need for mathematics learning that can improve the results of learning mathematics.               The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the application of direct learning model in groups can improve student achievement on the subject matter of the fractional matter in the VD SDN 06 Perawang Barat class in the even semester of the academic year 2012/2013?       The form of this research is collaborative classroom action research, in collaborative classroom action research involving teachers, principals, and outsiders in one team simultaneously, with the aim of improving learning outcomes, the development of theory and teacher performance improvement. This team relationship is a partnership, meaning that the position of team members with each other is the same that aims to think about the issues to be studied in classroom action research. In this case the researcher serves as a teacher. Action will be done is in order to improve the results of teaching mathematics at class VD SDN 06 in Perawang Barat.               The data in this study were collected with observation sheet and mathematics learning result test. Observations were made to the activities of the students and teachers during the learning process for each meeting by filling out the observation sheets that have been filled in by observing the observation sheets of each teacher and student behavior on the observation sheet. While data is about mathematics learning result collected through daily test (UH1) and daily test (UH2) which contains problem based on indicator that will be achieved based on lattice test result of learning.               The data obtained in this research is then analyzed through descriptive analysis.Descriptive data analysis aims to describe data about student learning outcomes on subject matter using in problem solving.               Based on the results of research and discussion concluded that the application of direct learning model in groups can improve student learning achievement at VD SDN 06 in Perawang Barat class on the subject matter using fractions in problem solving.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar fisika siswa dengan menerapkan siklus ACE dalam pembelajaran fisika materi kinematika gerak lurus. Penelitian tindakan dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Simpang Hilir Kabupaten Kayong Utara. Subjek penelitian yang akan dilakukan adalas siswa-siswi kelas XB SMA Negeri 2 Simpang Hilir yang berjumlah 34 siswa terdiri atas 13 laki-laki dan 21 perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa lembar observasi untuk mengukur aktivitas belajar siswa dan soal tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan aktivitas siswa dikelas masuk kategori cukup aktif. Hasil belajar siswa dengan siklus ACE mencapai ketuntasan 76,67%. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran fisika, siklus ACE, aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar  Abstract: This study aimed to increase physical activity and learning outcomes of students by implementing ACE cycle in physics learning material straight motion kinematics. Action research conducted at SMAN 2 Simpang Hilir North Kayong. The subject of research will be done adalas students of class XB SMAN 2 Simpang Downstream totaling 34 students consisting of 13 male and 21 female. The instrument used in this study is in the form of sheets of observations to measure student learning activities and test items to measure learning outcomes. Based on the results of classroom action research can be concluded that the activity of students in class is categorized quite active. Student learning outcomes with ACE cycle achieve mastery 76.67%. This study aims to find out how the development of Batak Toba culture-based mathematics learning media with a contextual approach and to find out how effective the development of Batak Toba culture-based mathematics learning media with a contextual approach is. The development of mathematics learning media was prepared using the ADDIE model. The subject of this research is class VII E with a total of 32 students. The type of data used is qualitative data and quantitative data. The first stage is the analysis phase. This stage is done to analyze the needs of research such as researchers conducting observations, interviews, and pretests. The next stage is the design of a mathematics learning media design in the form of Student Activity Sheets (LAS) based on the Toba Batak culture. The third stage is development, at this stage the learning media product is validated by the material expert and media expert validator to obtain the feasibility of the product that has been designed based on the results of the validation and the validator's suggestions and comments. The fourth stage is implementation, at this stage after the mathematics learning media product is validated then the product is tested. The last stage is evaluation, at this stage after the product is tested the final results of the field test in the form of a pretest and posttest are then analyzed and scores are obtained as a result of student learning. Based on the analysis of research data, the following results were obtained: (1) Student Activity Sheet (LAS) based on Toba Batak culture can be used for mathematics learning on the subject of rectangles and triangles in terms of the value given by the material expert and media validator 88% with a very valid and appropriate category to be used to improve student learning outcomes; (2) Increasing student learning outcomes by 56.25% this can be seen from the pretest students who completed as many as 11 people (34.37%) while students who did not complete as many as 21 people (65.63%). From the posttest students who completed as many as 29 people (90.62%) while students who did not complete as many as 3 people (9.38%); (3) The teacher's activities at the 1st and 2nd meetings achieved results (85.23%) and the student activities at the 1st and 2nd meetings achieved results (88.66%). So it can be concluded that student learning outcomes at posttest are higher than at pretest. Thus that mathematics learning media in the form of Student Activity Sheets (LAS) based on the Toba Batak culture are effective for use in improving student learning outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to describe how the process of using learning using Hot Potatoes Algebra Operations material for class VII students at Karangduren AL HIDAYAH Middle School. Then to find out the increase in the activity of students in algebraic surgery material by using Hot Potatoes media on class VII students at Karangduren AL HIDAYAH Middle School and to find out the increase in learning outcomes of algebraic surgery materials by using Hot Potatoes media in class VII students at AL HIDAYAH Middle School in 2018 / 2019. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using 2 cycles. Based on the results obtained from the percentage of student learning activities in learning cycle I was 82.81% with good categories and the second cycle was 89.06% with good categories. This shows an increase in student activity as much as 6.25%. The completeness of student learning outcomes in the prerequisite material obtained from the pre-cycle pretest was 66.66%. While the completeness of the results of the students in the first cycle reached 70.37% and experienced an increase in learning cycle II as much as 22.13% which obtained a percentage of 92.5% with a good category and has achieved classical completeness. However, in the second cycle, researchers conducted remedial so as to achieve 100% classical completeness. Keywords: Hot Potatoes, learning activities, learning outcomes

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning model in mathematics learning for VII grade students of SMP Negeri Selangit. This research is in the form of quasi-experimental. The population is all grade VII students of SMP Negeri Selangit in the academic year 2019/2020, totaling 98 students and as a sample are class VII.3 students, amounting to 24 students. Data collection is done by test and non-test techniques. The collected data were analyzed using t-test at a significant level α = 0.05. Based on the results of the study showed the effectiveness of the Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning model in mathematics learning with an average score of 74.44 with the percentage of students completing 79.17% of students' responses to learning in the good category with a percentage of 72.44 %, and student learning activities in the quite active category with a percentage of 28.45%.

<p>The purpose of the research to improve student learning activities in teaching and learnig activities with the implementation of Biology learning strategy <em>Think Talk Write </em>on Environmental Pollution material. This research is a classroom action research. The experiment was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle  consisting of the  planning, observation, evaluation, analysis,  and reflection. Subjects  were  students  of class  XI  SMA  Al  Islam  1 Surakarta  academic  year 2009/2010. Source  of data  derived from  teacher  and  student  information,  observation,  and documentation. Techniques and tools of data collection is a questionnaire, observation, and interviews. Validate  data  using  triangulation techniques  of data  sources. Data  analysis techniques used are qualitative analysis. Research procedure is a spiral model of inter-related. The results showed that the application of learning strategies can improve  student  activities  in biology  learning  in class  X-1 SMA  Al  Islam  1 Surakarta 2009/2010 academic  year. Improved student  learning  activities  can be  viewed through a questionnaire and observation sheet. The average percentage based on observation of student activity  sheets  for 41.90% of pre  cycle, a  cycle  of 73.07% and 87.23%  for  cycle  2.Questionnaire  pre-cycle  calculation results  indicate  student  activity  at  70.49%, a  cycle  of 73.83%, and the second cycle result indicate that student activity of 77.96%.</p><p> </p><p class="0jTULISANKATAKUNCIKEYWORDS">Key Words: Think talk write learning strategy, student activity, biology learning.</p>

The low learning outcomes of students in VII-A grade of SMP Al-Ikhwan Salama in Bima City is suspected that one of the causes is that there are still many students who experience difficulties in understanding the mathematical concepts being thought. As well as in delivering subject matter, more teachers apply teaching methods that are monotonous and less varied. As a result students become less active and only accept what is given by the teacher and do the assignment in accordance with what is asked by the teacher. Therefore, teachers need to find better learning methods so that the learning process that is endeavored can improve student learning outcomes, one of which is the EPA method. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes through the EPA method. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which takes place in three cycles. This study uses the EPA method (Exploration, Introduction and Application of concept). Data collection techniques used were tests and observation. Data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the study showed an increase in mastery learning from the average value of students in the first cycle of 70,51 with a percantage of 74,28% and the average value in the second cycle of 73,82 with a percentage of 80% and the average value in the third cycle of 80,05 with percentage of 88,57%. So it can be concluded that the application of the EPA (Exploration, Introduction, and Application of concepts)learning method on the subject matter of quadrilateral can improve mathematics learning outcomes of students.

<p>This research is a classroom action research (CAR) aimed at improving student activity and learning outcomes through the application of contextual approaches to Listening Children Story  Learning. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII. B SMP 10 Depok in the academic year 2017/2018, amounting to 35 people. The object of this research is the preparation of student learning, student activities in learning, and student learning outcomes in the learning model applied. The results of this study indicate that the application of contextual learning in listening to children's story learning can improve student learning activities and outcome.<strong> </strong></p>

Based on observations in class XI of Saraswati 2 Denpasar Vocational High School, several obstacles were found when learning took place, including (1) student involvement in learning was still lacking, (2) students were less prepared to take part in learning, (3) lack of collaboration between students in completing assignment, (4) students have not been able to conclude the material being studied. In accordance with the file taken through interviews with the mathematics teacher of class XI of Saraswati 2 Denpasar Vocational High School, information the achievement of mathematics learning is categorized as low, because it has not reached the minimum completeness criteria that have been established of Saraswati 2 Denpasar Vocational High School. This study uses a qualitative approach and this type of research is a classroom action study (CAR). This research was carried out for up to two cycles. The percentage increase in the average score of student learning activities from cycle I to cycle II is 43.31% and the percentage increase in the average value of student learning achievement, learning completeness, and absorption from cycle I to cycle II are respectively: 8, 31%; 31.99%; and 8.31%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the activities and student achievement in integral learning are not necessarily algebraic functions through the application of NHT type cooperative learning model in class XI students of Saraswati 2 Denpasar Vocational High School 2014/2015 of the academic year has increased.
