The appropriate method can increase the effectiveness of learning in schools. Even easy subject is sometimes difficult to be developed and be accepted by students because the method used is not appropriate. Therefore, this study discusses several variations of learning methods in improving the ability of elementary school students to understand the intrinsic elements contained in poetry. This research is a quantitative study with a Pre-Experimental Design approach in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted at SDN Jatimulya 02, South Tambun, West Java. The data sources in this study were fifth-grade students at SDN Jatimulya 02 as the sample and the population consisted of 61 students, consisting of 36 girls and 25 boys. Data collection techniques using observation and test techniques. The observations made in this study were participatory because the researchers were directly involved. In this study, the researcher involved himself in the situation under study, namely as a teacher. Researchers used three types of assessments in this observation, namely an assessment of the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), an assessment of the implementation of learning, and an assessment of student tests or evaluations (cycles). The activeness of students in the class became the object of observation. The use of questionnaires was also carried out, to determine the effectiveness of students in learning Indonesian. The questionnaire is a list of written questions that must be answered to obtain certain information from students. The questionnaire is made based on a questionnaire grid that refers to the formulation of the problem. The test is used to measure students' abilities in cognitive aspects, or the level of mastery of learning materials. The process of implementing the learning outcomes test is carried out after the discussion of one subject has ended, or after one quarter or one semester has been completed. Based on the results of the study, it can be interpreted that the use of media variations and learning methods affects students' listening skills in identifying intrinsic elements. This is evidenced by the completeness of students' scores at the beginning of the test and the end of the test. In the implementation of the initial test, there were 41% of students did not complete it. However, in the final test, 100% of students were declared complete or reached the KKM

This research is motivated by the low mathematical understanding ability of students who are still low. This research was conducted on fifth grade students of State Primary School 003 Pulau Kopung, Sintajo District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study aims to improve the results of understanding of students' mathematics learning outcomes through the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach. From the data analysis of student learning outcomes before and after the Realistic Mathematic Education approach was applied, students who completed only 10 people or 43.47% with incomplete categories. After the first cycle, students who completed increased to 16 or 69.56% with incomplete categories. For the second cycle, the number of students who completed as many as 20 people or equal to 89.95% with complete categories. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education approach can improve the understanding of the concept of dividing students into mathematics subjects in class V of Public Primary School 003 Pulau Kopung, Sintajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi Regency.

This study aims to improve the results of learning mathematics of elementary school students SDIT Deli Insani of class V on the subject matter of fractions by using number playing card media. The from of this study is classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, using number playing cards at SDIT Deli Insani in class V Tanjung Morawa. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SDIT Deli Insani, amounting to 30 students. This action was carried out in April 2018. Methods of collecting data using observation and documentation. The data analysis used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study showed an increase in students' ability to understand concepts from the first cycle and second cycle. Percentage of increase in pre-action results, cycle I and cycle II students' concept comprehension ability that is 13.04% for indicators identifying number forms using number game cards (dominoes) and indicators solving problems in fractional form operations using dominoes 27.26%. the success indicator in cycle II reaches 80%. Thus the application of number game cards can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts at SDIT Deli Insani in Class V.

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of circuit learning model assisted by diorama media for influencing the motivation and learning outcomes of class V on theme 7 at SDN Mangunharjo. This research used Pre-Experimental design, One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of all class V students in SDN Mangunharjo numbered 35 by using nonprobality sampling techniques with saturated sampling types. The average score of pretest motivation was 60.17 and the posttest average was 80.53. The average value of the pretest of the results of learning outcomes is 57.94 and the posttest averages 84.34. This is evidenced by the results of the motivation t-test where tcount (14.31)> ttable (1.69). Calculation of t-test results of learning where tcount (13.28)> ttable (1.69). This is also supported by N-Gain motivation and learning outcomes that show criteria of moderate to high. The concluded that the circuit learning model assisted by diorama media effectively influences the motivation and learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of Mangunharjo Elementary School Semarang.

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of the use of aids in mathematics instruction in SMP, with: 1) compare the mathematics learning achievement of students who were taught using real aids with that of students who were taught using half-real aids.; 2) compare the mathematics learning mastery of the students from both schools categories. This research is a quasi-experiment with pretest-postest design with non-equivalent groups. This research used two experiment groups and two control groups. Population of this research was fifth grade students of state SMP in Detusoko. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select the sample. From the population, the researcher took two schools and every school consisted of two classes as a sample. The total of the sample are 100 people. Data were collected using test. The test were tried out to two groups of students. To compare the mathematics learning achievement of students, data were analyzed by descriptive statistic and inferential statistic by analysis of covariant  (α =0.05) and was continued with Tukey-Kramer test (α =0.05), while to compare the mathematics learning mastery of the students, data were analyzed by Chi-Square test. The result of this research showed that: 1) from both schools categories the mathematics learning achievement of students who were taught using real aids is higher than that of students taught using half-real aids; 2) the mathematics learning mastery of high category school students who were taught using real aids is higher than that of high category school students who were taught using half-real aids;3) the mathematics learning mastery of low category school students who were taught using real aids is not higher than that of low category school students who were taught using half-real aids; 4) from both schools categories the students who were taught using real aids, reach the mathematics learning mastery level, while the students who were taught using half-real aids, do not reach the learning mastery level.

The research background was caused by the low learning outcomes of students in Indonesian language subjects in grade V SD Negeri 05 Patamuan. This is due to several problems including the teacher still dominantly using conventional models, which causes students to be lazy to read and understand reading content. One way that can be used to overcome this problem is to use the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (Circ) model. The purpose of this lesson is to learn to understand a passage. The approach used is a qualitative and quantitative approach using an action research design. The research design includes (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings, the subjects studied were 27 students of class V SDN 05 Patamuan. The research instrument used in this study was the teacher activity observation sheet in the learning process, student activity sheet, student learning result sheet and documentation. The research results from each cycle carried out showed an increase in student learning outcomes. If referring to the average percentage of student learning outcomes in the form of daily tests (UH), it increased by 70.37% in cycle I and 85% in cycle II. The researcher concludes that the implementation of Indonesian language learning through the use of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (Circ) model can improve Indonesian learning outcomes for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 05 Patamuan, Patamuan sub-district.
