The aim of this research is for developing DIVISITE (Discovery Listening Website) to facilitate students learning in listening subject. The design of this research is educational R&D. The subjects of this study were second-semester students of the English Department for the 2020/2021 academic year STKIP PGRI Trenggalek. The research procedure includes need analysis, studying theories of educational, developing the educational product, validating product to expert, and field-testing the product. By using the website and combined with the three stages in the Discovery Listening technique, it can increase students' learning motivation and comprehension toward listening material. This can be seen from the results of pre-motivation getting a score of 1051 (almost disagree). This means that respondents rarely plan listening learning activities. Then, the results of the post-motivation questionnaire obtained a score of 1810 (almost agree). That is, there is an increase related to students' learning motivation in learning listening by using the Discovery Listening Website. In conclusion, based on the research findings described above. This research has been able to develop DIVISITE (Discovery Listening Website) and facilitate student learning in listening. Furthermore, this research was able to achieve the research objectives, namely DIVISITE (Discovery Listening Website) to facilitate students learning in listening subject.

This study aims to measure the correlation between vocabulary achievements and speaking achievement at second semester students of English study program in Halu Oleo University. The design of the study was research deign or correlational design; the type of the study was quantitative approach. The problem of the study was, is there any correlation between vocabulary achievement and speaking achievement at second semester students of English study program in Halu Oleo University? The population of this research was the second semester students of English Department in Halu Oleo University in the academic year of 2018/2019 with a total number of 120 students. It was divided into two class they are A and B. There are 105 students taken as sample in this study by using purposive sampling technique.  The instruments of this research are mid test score of vocabulary examination and basic speaking Examination. The result of calculation using SPSS 20 program found that, (r (105) = 0.459, p = 0.000) was also higher than r at 5% and 1% significant level. It could be concluded that alternative hypothesis (H1 table) stating that there is a significant positive correlation between vocabulary achievement and speaking achievement at second semester students of English Department in Halu Oleo University and null hypothesis rejected. Based on the research findings, it is shown that there is positive correlation between vocabulary achievement and speaking achievement at second semester students of English Department in Halu Oleo University. It means that students’ who had much vocabulary performed speaking better than the student who had lack of vocabulary.

<p>The study is intended to develop Writing III Course materials using graphic organizers for the fourth-semester students of English Education Study Program of IAIN Palangka Raya. The Research and Development (R &amp; D) design was employed in this study. It included the stages:  need analysis, description of the purpose, selection and development of material type, production of proto-material, production of pedagogical material, expert validation, field testing (trying-out), evaluation and revision (evaluation from try-out and the expert, and final product. The final product of this study was the instructional materials (six units for nine meetings) covering introduction to the essay (unit 1 for meetings 1-4), the illustration essay (unit 2 for meeting 5), the classification essay (unit 3 for meeting 6), the process essay (unit 4 for meeting 7), the comparison contrast essay (unit 5 for meeting 8), and the cause and effect (unit 6 for meeting 9). Each unit consisted of learning objective, topic, sub-topic, description, relevancy, and keywords. The materials serve for appropriate topics, clear models, stimulating learning, relevant activities, clear example, graphic organizers, and providing strategies.</p><em></em>

This study aim in other to result teaching material used interactive multimedia based animation on science subject especially on water recycled cycle in academic year 2019/2020. The development learning model on this study was Borg and Gall model. This study was conducted into some steps, they are (1) the need analysis step; (2) design step; (3) creating and validating product step; (4) product revision step; (5) try out product step; (6) final product revision step. The subject of this study was fifth grade student of MI NW No, 02 Kelayu Selatan. Based on the product validation which carried out by the expert team showed that the score of the sight experts was 61, on average of 4.69 with “excellent category” on the score board X > +1,80SBi. Whereas the score of material and language were 35 with an average of acquisition of 5 with excellent category score on the score board X > +1,80SBi. The result showed, the result of field try out test was 97% which student responded “yes”, while the result of study acuity was 85%. Based on the result it can be concluded that the teaching material which developed by the researcher was very worthy of using for science-learning activities in recycled cycle materials.

Classroom Action Research applied to Grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Sakra, conducted on the basis of the low level of achievement of the Year-End Achievement Test  in Mathematics at the 2017.2018 Academic Year, compared to the average achievement of 2017 Semester Final Assessment / 2018. This study was designed with the Kemmis Action model research procedure, with 2 cycles of action in two meetings. In the description of the results of the research cycle I, and II, there was an increase in the process and results of learning Mathematics with the implementation of the learning model the power of two. In the first cycle, the average score of students' knowledge was 53.67, in the second cycle there was an increase of 73.67, the results of observations of learning activities of students and teachers in cycle I 3, 50 and 2.71 and increased again in cycle II to 4 , 36 and 3.14 with the Good category.

The results of kindergarten teacher supervision were found in teaching teachers not yet making plans for daily activities, so learning activities did not run effectively. For this reason, action guidance is needed for the teacher to increase his competence in preparing the daily activity plan. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of kindergarten teacher competencies in preparing daily activities plans through ongoing guidance through mentoring in the Sirih Gading Cluster UPT Department of Youth and Sports Education Kandangan District Academic Year 2017/2018. The subjects of this study were all kindergarten teachers in the Sirih Gading UPT Cluster of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports, Kandangan District, totaling 18 teachers. With this school action research, it is expected that 75% of kindergarten teachers are able to plan their daily activities properly. The action is carried out with two cycles each cycle there are three meetings consisting of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the action from cycle I to cycle II increased aspects of the competence of kindergarten teachers in preparing daily activities properly and correctly in the Sirih Gading Cluster UPT Department of Youth and Sports Education in Kandangan District 2018 in cycle I there were 6 teachers or 33% increased to 15 teachers or 85%. While its activity increased from 65% in the first cycle to 90% in the second cycle. Thus it can be concluded that through mentoring can improve the competence of kindergarten teachers in preparing daily activities plans in the Sirih Gading Cluster UPT Department of Youth and Sports Education in Kandangan District. Based on the research findings, suggestions can be made so that: (1) Teachers before carrying out learning to plan their daily activities properly and correctly, so that teaching and learning activities take place smoothly, effectively and efficiently and learning objectives are achieved. (2) Kindergarten Supervisors are advised to carry out ongoing guidance in preparing daily activity plans, so that Kindergarten teachers are able to prepare plans for day activities properly and correctly and Kindergarten Supervisors are advised to conduct further research on the skills of Kindergarten teachers in carrying out learning to find other aspects that are not yet revealed.

This research is an action research that aims to improve students’ learning motivation and achievements class X Accounting 2 SMK N 7 Yogyakarta academic year 2015/2016 by the implementation of Blended Learning Model based on Edmodo. Data Analysis Technique was by descriptive comparative. Based on research results, it can concluded that the implementation of Blended Learning teaching technique based on Edmodo can improve students’ learning motivation and achievements of X Accounting 2 of SMK N 7 Yogyakarta academic year 2015/2016. It is supported by research findings that percentage of learning motivation of Accounting increased to 6,87% from 74,22% in first cycle to 81,09% in second cycle. Based on learning achievements of Acounting, students’ mean score increased 8,9% from mean score of pretest 70,15 to 76,40 in post test in first cycle. In second cycle, there is an increase 7,78 points from 75,59 in pretest to 83,37 in post test. In addition, completion study mean score also increased 18,75%, from 65,63% in first cycle to 84,38% in second cycle.  Keywords: Blended learning, Edmodo, Learning Motivation and Achievements of Accounting.

Good ability in listening means having competence to comprehend information during listening activities. However, Listening skill is still considered as one of the most difficult skills for English language learners although they have been learning English for few years. Hence, this study was designed to gather information about the students’ challenges in listening activities, their perspectives on listening subject, and positive factors on the students’ success in listening. Then, a set of listening test and questionnaire were distributed. Both quantitative and qualitative data were studied to identify the underlying matters in students’ listening skills, addressing challenges, main listening hindrance factors and learning experiences. The findings of this study revealed that the students faced problems in listening because they still could not complete the basic listening skills in the test. Furthermore, Most of them considered that the listening classes are challenging for them due to some problems and difficulties during the teaching and learning activities. Besides that, there were 5 factors influenced the students’ listening skill; lack of practice, limited vocabulary mastery, native speakers’ accent, pronunciation, and uninteresting learning materials. Moreover, their knowledge about English structure and good facilities in listening classes supported them to be able to figure out some challenges in listening activities. In addition, the students realized the important of the listening activities, but assistances from the teachers and some other students were still needed during the teaching and learning activities. In conclusion, having good listening skill still appeared as a challenge for the first year students at English Department of Academic Year 2015/2016.

<p>Deixis is a technical term for one of the most basic things we do with utterance. When we ask someone, “come here!” We are using a context in the utterance, such as who is speaking to whom, what relation they have, the time or place of speaking, the gesture of the speaker and what status the interaction participants have.  Conncerning to the background of the research, there are two questions raised in this research they are: (1)  What deictic expressions found on EFL ’Written Essay Grade III At English Department At FKIP UHN Pematangsiantar, (2) What are the possible interpretation appeared from the deictic expressions found n EFL ’Written Essay Grade III At English Department At FKIP UHN Pematangsiantar. The researcher used some theories related with deixis such as Yule (1995, p. 9), Levinson (1983, p. 55), Lyon (1983, p. 275), and James (1983, p. 63). This research is conducted using a descriptive qualitative research.There are 70 students (academic year 2015) taking Professional Development for English Teacher subject at English Department at FKIP UHN Pematangsiantar. The researcher asked the students to perform and tell their expectations after being an English teacher in the future. After doing the analysis from the whole data of the research, the writer found the research findings:  there are some types of deixis in the students’ writing. Person deixis is used in the students’ writing because the writer shows their thinking and their understanding. In the person deixis is used in the text, first person deixis is most dominant that the researcher found in the text. It is because of the writer tells their willing to be a teacher in the future. As a whole, after the data have been analyzed by the researcher, there are some types of deixis in the students’ writing. Person deixis is used in the students’ writing because the writer shows their thinking and their understanding. In the person deixis is used in the text, first person deixis is most dominant that the researcher found in the text. It is because the writers tell their willingness to be teachers in the future.<strong></strong></p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong>deixis, written essay, stylistic analysis, deictic expressions</p>

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan teknik pembelajaran in Stage Guidance dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan menulis akademik mahasiswa.Dalam menguji keefetifan teknikpembelajaran tersebut, dikaji dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Rsearch Development)pada mahasiswa semester lima di Universitas Siliwangi tahu akademik 2018/2019. Prosedur penelitian yang ditempuh melalui tahapan (1) pemmbentukan model awal/konseptual, (2) pengujan lapangan model awal, (3) revisi model awal, (4) Pengujian lapangan model hasil revisi, (5) validasi model, (6) diseminasi model baik melalui forum ilmiah seperti seminar, maupun melalui publikasi ilmiah. Melalui tahapan tersebut diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran menulis akademik berbasis in stages guidance teruji keefetifannya dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan menulis akademik para mahasiswa. The research procedure was carried out through the stages (1) formation of the initial/conceptual model, (2) field testing of the initial model, (3) revision of the initial model, (4) field testing of the revised model, (5) model validation, (6) model dissemination either through scientific forums such as seminars or through scientific publications. Throughout these stages, it would be known that the in-stage guidance-based academic writing learning model has proven its effectiveness in improving students' academic writing skills. The confusion of lecturers in teaching English with specific and suitable material for students who choose majors other than the English department is the main problem mostly encountered found by the writers is the basic reason for conducting this research. The main purpose of having this article is to fill the absence of material provided for students in Accounting Department in Riau University. Through descriptive methods, qualitative approaches and instruments used in the form of a close-ended questionnaire in which the form of questions refer to the need analysis proposed by Hutchinson & Water (necessities, wants, and lacks) of the students, initialized and complemented with their latest English language level and an adaptation questionnaire from Adnan was researched as well. The data was  obtained from a number of students majoring in Accounting for academic year of 2020/2021 class E at the Faculty of Economics, Riau University which were converted to frequency and rounded to a percentage. Dominated by students who have basic English skills, the students have various necessities, wants, and lacks in learning English. Eventually based on the finding, a proposed material model was framed.
