Research background and hypothesis. The research focuses on changes of different ECG parameters and their concatenations during the whole body cryotherapy procedure.Research aim was to evaluate the changes in the relationships and complexity of the human organism systems by analyzing different  ECG  parameters and their dynamical concatenations during the whole body cryotherapy procedure.Research methods. The sample included 24 volunteers without cardiovascular diseases who received whole body cryotherapy treatment course which consisted of 7 procedures per person on average. The 12-lead standard ECG was registered using computerized ECG analysis system “Kaunas-Load”. ECG was registered continuously 1 min before, during the procedure and 3 min after the procedure. Research results. Regulatory system is activated on all fractal levels during cryotherapy procedure. This is reflected by changes of measured durational parameters: RR, JT, dQRS. Significant changes in the supplying system (ST segment position) were not observed. Significant changes of metabolic processes (T-wave amplitude) at organ and cell levels can be observed during the recovery after the procedure. Changes in ECG parameter concatenations show that first the  regulatory system reacts on the organism level (RR/JT), neurohumoral system is activated during the procedure and interactions between systems (RR/dQRS) and interactions in the organ and cell levels (JT/dQRS) increase during the recovery period after the procedure. Discussion and conclusions. Whole body cryotherapy causes changes in ECG parameters and their concatenations which represent adaptive organism reactions and activation of all organism adaptive resources. The data show the safety of the procedure from the coronary, as well as hemodynamic point of view of other organs.Keywords: cryotherapy, complex system theory, concatenation between ECG parameters.

Meanwhile, it also explores the coordination of their transport capability, transport organization, etc., from the microscopic point of view, ultimately achieving the theoretical integration and harmonization of the connection and layout of the integrated transport hub and corridor.

Introduction: Electrocardiogram (ECG) represents cardiac function in all fractal levels of complexity: regulatory system was evaluated by RR interval and heart supplying system was evaluated by the changes of JT interval. The type and intensity of body’s reactions to mud therapy depend mainly on the intensity of the procedure and the responsiveness of the organism that also is influenced by age and gender. Aim: of this research was to evaluate changes of dynamic concatenations of durational ECG parameters during peloidotherapy procedure in groups of people of various age and sex. Material and Methods: The 12-lead standard ECG was registered synchronously using computerized ECG analysis system “Kaunas-Load” 1 min before and during peloidotherapy (39-40oC) procedure (mud bath). Three segments were assessed from ECG: 1 min before the procedure (1), 1-10 min of the procedure (2) and 11-20 minutes of procedure (3). Concatenations of ECG parameters were assessed and calculated: RR/ JT, JT/dQRS, RR/dQRS. 48 patients (age mean 59.5 ±11.48) were divided into groups by gender (26 female and 22 male) and age (I gr. (N=24) age ≤59 y.), II gr. (N=24) age> 59 y.). Results: A comparison by gender and age showed that dynamical concatenations of RR/JT, JT/QRS, RR/dQRS of male patients were significantly (p<0.05) higher then those of female during all stages of the procedure. The complexity of reactions on organism level (RR/JT) during procedure was decreasing only in I age group. The complexity of organism reactions on sub systemic level (JT/dQRS) was decreasing in all groups at the start of the procedure (p<0.05) (stage 2), but was increasing in next half of the procedure (stage 3) (p<0.05). JT/dQRS values of female group and older people (II gr.) at the end of the procedure returned to their initial levels (p>0.05). More pronounced decrease of JT/dQRS concatenations in male and younger (I gr.) patience groups at the first stages of the procedure was observed, so these values don’t reach their initial state till the end of the procedure (p<0.05). Conclusions: 1) pronounced dynamics of organism’s processes were observed during peloidotherapy treatment; 2) the most pronounced influence of age and gender on changes of organism complexity reactions was observed on regulatory levels (RR/dQRS); 3) sudden reorganization of organism’s state was observed in all studied concatenations during the initial phase of peloidotherapy.

Most of the research on the relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Complexity argued the possibility and reality from a philosophical point of view. Recently A few papers popped up to explored AI Science through Complex System Theory. In fact, Dr.Bais conception of the Top Machine (TM), which was firstly proposed in his dissertation Generalized Symbolism and Knowledge Presentation of Hyper Topology Structure in 1999, may comprise the following three fundamental points. He proposed this idea, defined it, and established the Wave and High Jump Principles. This paper intended to explore the scientific features of the TM Model in relation to the three concerned points, and drew the conclusion that TM model is worth in-depth study not only because it visualized the complexity of AI Science, but also it could be an abstract conceptual model of Intelligent System (IS).

SummaryIn the Marinelli chair, a geometry widely used in whole body counting, the lower part of the leg is seen quite inefficiently by the detector. The present paper describes an attempt to modify the standard chair geometry to minimise this limitation. The subject sits crossed-legged in the “Buddha Posture” in the standard chair. Studies with humanoid phantoms and a volunteer sitting in the Buddha posture show that this modification brings marked improvement over the Marinelli chair both from the point of view of sensitivity and uniformity of spatial response.

Cash waqf in Indonesia has been long enough implemented based on some rules enacted by government and other rules defined by The Waqf Board of Indonesia (BWI). However, the implementation of cash waqf has not reached the level of success. Therefore, this article studies the application of cash waqf law in Indonesia according to Friedman’s legal system theory. The legal system theory of Friedman firstly looks at the substance of the law, which is the rules or regulations; and secondly it examines the structure of the law, encompassing the law enforcement agencies, such as judge, prosecutor, police and legal counselors. And lastly the theory examines the element of legal culture, which is a response from Muslim society. The first two examinations indicate that there is nothing to be a problem. But from the last examination there is a problem regarding the trust from Muslim society. From the legal culture point of view, the implementation of cash waqf by the government, which is performed by BWI, needs attracting society’s credentials in order to improve and maximize the performance of cash waqf in Indonesia.

Sodium fluoride solution was injected i.p. to three groups of rats at a dose equivalent to 0.1 LD50 three times a week up to 18 injections. Two out of these groups and two out of three groups were sham-injected with normal saline and were exposed to the whole body impact of a 25 mT static magnetic field (SMF) for 2 or 4 hr a day, 5 times a week. Following the exposure, various functional and biochemical indices were evaluated along with histological examination and morphometric measurements of the femur in the differently exposed and control rats. The mathematical analysis of the combined effects of the SMF and fluoride based on the a response surface model demonstrated that, in full correspondence with what we had previously found for the combined toxicity of different chemicals, the combined adverse action of a chemical plus a physical agent was characterized by a tipological diversity depending not only on particular effects these types were assessed for but on the dose and effect levels as well. From this point of view, the indices for which at least one statistically significant effect was observed could be classified as identifying (I) mainly single-factor action; (II) additive unidirectional action; (III) synergism (superadditive unidirectional action); (IV) antagonism, including both subadditive unidirectional action and all variants of contradirectional action.

Mechanical ventilation (MV) is still necessary in many surgical procedures; nonetheless, intraoperative MV is not free from harmful effects. Protective ventilation strategies, which include the combination of low tidal volume and adequate positive end expiratory pressure (PEEP) levels, are usually adopted to minimize the ventilation-induced lung injury and to avoid post-operative pulmonary complications (PPCs). Even so, volutrauma and atelectrauma may co-exist at different levels of tidal volume and PEEP, and therefore, the physiological response to the MV settings should be monitored in each patient. A personalized perioperative approach is gaining relevance in the field of intraoperative MV; in particular, many efforts have been made to individualize PEEP, giving more emphasis on physiological and functional status to the whole body. In this review, we summarized the latest findings about the optimization of PEEP and intraoperative MV in different surgical settings. Starting from a physiological point of view, we described how to approach the individualized MV and monitor the effects of MV on lung function.

Background: The activity of antioxidant enzymes and sirtuins (Sirt) decreases along with age, which is counteracted by aerobic training. Sirtuins increase antioxidant defence. Whole-body cryotherapy (WBC) increases total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in young men. The aim of our study was to assess the impact of 24 WBC treatments on the blood concentration of selected sirtuins and the level of antioxidant defence as well as oxidative stress index of training and non-training men depending on age. Methods: The study involved 40 males. In each group, there were 10 non-training older and young men (60 NTR and 20 NTR), and 10 older and young long-distance runners (60 TR, 20 TR). During an 8-week period, participants underwent 24 WBC treatments (3 min −130 °C), which were performed three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). The concentrations of Sirt1, Sirt3, TAC, total oxidative status and the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) in the blood were determined before 1 WBC and after 1 WBC, 12 WBC and 24 WBC. Results: After 1 WBC, the activity of GPx and the concentration of Sirt1 and TAC in 60 TR and TAC in 60 NTR increased. After 12 WBC, the level of Sirt1 in 20 NTR and SOD in 20 TR increased. After 24 WBC, the level of Sirt1 increased in 60 TR and in 20 NTR, Sirt3 in 60 TR and SOD in 20 TR. Conclusions: Cryogenic temperatures increase blood levels of Sirt1 and Sirt3 and systemic antioxidant defence in men, but the effect is dependent on age, level of performed physical activity and the number of applied treatments.
