The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of supervisory relationship on supervision satisfaction among trainee counselors. The Supervisory Relationship Questionnaire (SRQ) is to measure the supervisory relationship and Supervisory Satisfaction Questionnaire (SSQ) is used to measure supervision satisfaction. The finding shows that supervisory relationship and its subscales (Safe Base, Structure, Commitment, Reflective Education, Role Model and Formative Feedback) have a positively significant relationship with supervision satisfaction among trainee counselors (safe base: r = 0.73, p < 0.05, structure: r = 0.65, p < 0.05, commitment: r = 0.69, p < .05, reflective education: r = 0.70, p < 0.05, role model: r = 0.51, p < 0.05, formative feedback: r = 0.71, p < 0.05 and supervisory relationship: r = 0.79, p < 0.05). The findings of this research also found that supervisory relationship, safe base and role model variables have significant influence on supervision satisfaction among trainee counselors with F (1, 98) = 169.59, p < 0.05, Adjusted R2 = 0.63 for supervisory relationship variable, F (3, 96) = 68.68, p < 0.05, Adjusted R2 = 67 for safe base variable and F (2, 97) = 96.47, p < 0.05, Adjusted R2 = 0.65 for role model variable. Supervisory relationship variable has the greatest influence (β = .79) while role model variable has the least influence (β = - 0.28) on supervision satisfaction. As for the theoretical implication, the finding of this research has proven Marina Palomo’s theoretical framework in ‘Bi-directional Model of the Supervisory Relationship’. Meanwhile in practical implication, this research has raised awareness on the importance of supervisory relationship on supervision satisfaction in counseling supervision.

Scholars have long debated the efficacy of social media in facilitating offline collective action. This research seeks to fill a gap in that literature by examining the role of social ties in determining intention to participate in different types of collective action. Survey findings show that aspects of tie strength—reciprocity, duration, and affect—have different impact on intention to participate in high- and low-cost political actions. Findings from this study have theoretical implication for the field as well as practical implication for social movement organizers seeking to mobilize supporters using social media.

The purpose of this study was to test and analyze the determinants of profitability in the banking industry on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The variables that determine the profitability of a bank as measured by Return on Assets (ROA) include: Non Performing Loans (NPL), Operating Costs for Operating Income (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). . The method of determining the sample in this research is purposive sampling. The data analysis technique in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that NPL and BOPO had a negative effect on ROA, while LDR and CAR had a positive effect on ROA. The theoretical implication of this research is to increase the profitability of a bank, the bank management must be able to suppress NPL and OEOI, as well as increase LDR and CAR. The practical implication of this research is that bank management must always prioritize the principle of prudence in lending, and always increase efficiency in operations so that increased profitability can be achieved. This study aims to investigate the relationship between audit committee and audit change in listed Indonesia Company. We use four variables for audit committee that is independence, size, financial expertise and activity. Besides, this study also uses three control variables (ROA, LEV, and SIZE). By using the Binary Logic Model (BLM) with panel data for 654 observation, we find that all hypotheses are rejected which means that there is no role of audit committee in determining the audit change. However, big and company with the higher leverage is less likely to change audit, firm. This finding has a practical and theoretical implication. For practical implication, regulator or government agent can increase the financial reporting quality by improving the role of audit committee by changing related mechanism.

This paper examines the effects of business competence on the job satisfaction of Information Technology (IT) professionals in Poland. The necessary data is collected from a survey conducted among 391 IT professionals working in various companies in Poland. The results of the analysis indicate that business competence, in general, positively affects the job satisfaction of IT professionals in transition economies. However, business competence seems to have mixed effects on various aspects of job satisfaction. Although business competence affects satisfaction with co-workers, supervision and work itself, the surveyed IT professionals feel that business competence does not have any substantial effect on their salary level and professional promotions. The theoretical implication of this study is that systematic development of human capital by building business competence will have positive effects on the job satisfaction of IT professionals in transition economies. This paper also has a practical implication for managers in transition economies seeking improvements in productivity as it may help them to devise a compensation and promotion system that would better account for competency in their employees.

Scholars of social entrepreneurship have yet to propose a classification of strategies employed by states to promote SE. The paper’s aim is to introduce a conceptual framework for state-sponsored SEs to fill this gap. Such a necessity rises out of the strategic study of the states’ role in the promotion of SE intra- and extraterritorially. The paper not only propose strategic mix for the formulation of state-sponsored SE, but also presented a conceptual framework based on the tendency of states toward four orientations of internationalism, internalism, governmentalism and volunteerism for pursuing SE in a macro-scale. Finally, four comprehensive SE strategies namely Opened Door Strategy, Closed Door Strategy, Global Citizen Strategy and Country Citizen Strategy based on the four orientations were proposed. The theoretical implication of the framework is in its contribution to the classification of governmentally promoted SE for a more clarified study and teaching of SEs in the academic context. Its practical implication is in its application as a guideline for sound formulation of SE strategies by public organisations in the public and third sector contexts.

The uptake of information and communication technologies in the classrooms is a key trend over the past years and decades. Teachers are using Moodle courses, e-Portfolios, Google Docs, perhaps learning games or virtual worlds such as OpenSim for educational purposes. A second trend pushes towards a formatively inspired assessment and feedback, often combined with attempts of educational data mining and learning analytics. In this paper we present a role model for teaching English as a second language using OpenSim and a tool that enables teachers to perform real-time learning analytics and direct formative feedback and interventions in the virtual learning session. Also we present an approach to aggregate and store the learning information into open learner models.
