To test whether future imagination can reduce the delay discounting rate of the Internet addicts, we recruited 40 Internet addicts (treatment sample) and 39 non-problematic users (control sample). We used a 2 (participant type: individuals with Internet addiction vs. non-problematic users) × 2 (training type: future event imagination training vs. control condition) × 2 (training session: first session vs. final session) mixed-subjects design to test our hypothesis. The participant type and training type were between the subjects and the training session was within the subject. Half of each sample (the Internet addicts and non-problematic users) was randomly assigned to complete five sessions of future imagination training and the other half was assigned to describe some daily events they had observed. We used the Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS) and delay discounting task to assess our outcome variable, such as addiction, impulsivity, and delay discounting rate. The results showed that the future imagination training significantly reduced the delay discounting rate (also for impulsivity and addiction) for both the Internet addicts and non-problematic users than the control condition. Besides, the negative effect of future imagination training on the delay discounting rates (for impulsivity and addiction) remained consistent across the five training sessions. These findings suggest that the future imagination training can be a useful approach to reduce the impulsivity among those who are addicted to the Internet.

This single-subject experiment explored the effect of oral instructions and training on the expansion of written language using a reversal design. The subject, a twelve-year-old boy who attended a tutorial clinic, wrote about a stimulus picture four times a week during a twelve-week period. Productivity was based on the number of words and sentences used in the composition; the type-token ratio for vocabulary diversity was also charted. During the intervention phases of the experiment, the tutor added oral instructions to write many words and ideas. These additional instructions increased the subject's productivity. As the oral instructions were changed, the number of total words and sentences also changed. When a simple training session was provided prior to the writing of a composition, the subject wrote more adjectives.


E-commerce, which has been a very prominent issue with the help of current developments in information and communication technologies and worldwide prevalence of the internet, has been intensively used considering the benefits for both customers and businesses. Tourism businesses, which demand to be successful in such rapidly changing competitive business environments, attempt to develop e-commerce applications in order that they can compete with their competitors and make use of new opportunities. It is emphasized that despite the various benefits of e-commerce, it might also bring the end of some sectors, which have not developed essential arrangements and infrastructures for this virtual environment. It is estimated that the need for package tours, tour operators and travel agencies will decrease in the future depending on the growing interest in the independent travel, the number of searches that people make on the internet search engines and tendency to act in accordance with the travel programs. The primary aim of this study is to figure out how much travel agencies in EskiĢehir use the e-commerce, the positive and negative effects of e-commerce on travel agencies and how e-commerce is perceived by agency administrators and employees. Besides, this study aims at determining the relationship among the perceptions of these employees and their performance. Within the scope of this research, 61travel agencies operating in EskiĢehir were selected and a survey consisting of close-ended questions applied to these business administrators and employees. The results revealed that almost all travel businesses have a web site, and the most important reason why they use the internet is easy accessibility and getting new customers. Employees think that use of e-commerce will not have any negative effect on the future of their businesses. According to results of correlation analysis, there was significant relationship found between employees‘ perceptions about the effects of e-commerce use on businesses and their performance in which they are employed.

This article will focus on the subject of ‘online drama’, i.e. drama made specifically to be viewed on the Internet. It aims to investigate and account for this new and unique form of serialized drama, explain and clarify its historical origins, locate its generic characteristics and account for and understand its role in the contemporary media landscape. In particular, it will argue that online drama reveals much about the future of broadcasting as a whole and points the direction towards many of the fundamental changes that are taking place in the very aesthetics of contemporary ‘television’. However, while some critics may argue that drama made for the Internet will simply offer another illustration of an increasingly digitized world, this investigation will focus on ways in which it may actually be seen to enhance the original power of early television – particularly its re-construction of ‘the intimate screen’. In direct contrast to contemporary television’s increasingly ‘cinematic’ sensibilities, this article will argue that it is online drama that can now most successfully recreate the psychological and emotional terrain of the small screen – reinventing the ‘electronic theatre’ for the new digital age.

The article presents the characteristics of the subject "Fire and rescue protection" carried out at the Faculty of Management at the Czestochowa University of Technology in the field of "Work Safety and Hygiene". The modified program consists of lectures and exercises and also presents a practical way of implementing the selected issues in a given building. Next, the methodology of research and the results of questionnaire surveys conducted in the target group of students are presented, referring to the improved content and methods of education and training in the field of fire protection. The article ends with conclusions from the conducted research and the proposed concept of activities for the future.

The article reveals the activity for health in education of future teacher personality in the healthy environment of high school as a nature-appropriate motor activity of the future teacher; it provides development and improvement of health processes of vital activity, support and strengthening of physical, mental, social and spiritual health of the future specialist.The discipline «Sports and pedagogical improvement» is described, which provides students with a set of knowledge, skills and abilities for the development of activity for health and experience of educational and training work, which will allow to conduct classes at a high professional level in the chosen sport. Studying the discipline is a necessary component of future teacher training. To a large extent, the implementation of the proposed discipline is facilitated by practical classes, which aim to deepen the knowledge, skills and abilities of students in certain sports through the use of active methods of educational and training process. The specificity of the discipline is that the methods of the subject involve the use of classical methods, forms and means of higher school pedagogy; there is an accumulation of knowledge about the chosen sport, necessary for the development of physical qualities, increase activity, self-esteem and correction of student behavior.

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of face-to-face and webinar combination in increasing elementary school headmasters’ comprehension on School Wellbeing in Yogyakarta Special Region.This study used a quasi-experimental design. The subject of the research is 29 elementary school headmasters across Yogyakarta Special Region (abbreviated as DIY) that have participated in pretest, initial face-to-face session, webinar sessions, final face-to-face session, and posttest. The data analysis used t-test analysis using SPSS version 21 to analyze School Wellbeing, pre and post training.The result of the research shows that the combination of face-to-face and webinar sessions is proven effective to increase the comprehension on School Wellbeing of elementary school headmasters across DIY. However, after being reviewed from the process, the training session needs to be revised considering that many of the participants did not follow the entire session due to the clashing of participants’ personal schedule and training session.

Abstract In the past few years there has been a significant increase in Internet use. Undoubtedly, the Internet reveals new opportunities for its users, but it also hides serious dangers. It was found that the most frequent Internet users are people aged 14-24. In recent years there is a fall in the lower age limit. Therefore, children, as the most active users of the Internet, are also the most vulnerable to online dangers. The subject of this research is precisely those online dangers, which threaten children in particular. They affect different social relationships, but each of them affects the proper development of children. The aim of the research is to inform the public and its individual citizens about the existing dangers on the Internet. It turns out that the most secure form of prevention here is namely awareness and training. By outlining existing dangers on the Internet and presenting them to the public, effective ways to avoid them could be sought. In this way, children can be protected from internet encroachments

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> This article raises a few discussion topics concerning the cartographical learning for children and young adults as well as the training of Geography teachers in Brazil. It's necessary to clarify that one can't assing to teachers the full responsibility for the problems that the school and the cartography teaching are facing. We agree with Souza and Katuta (2001), who affirm there is a relevant and complex group of political, social and economic elements that can help explaining the educational situation Brazil is facing, especially in public schools. However, these elements end up being concealed along the education process. Therefore, we will present only the part of the scenario that includes the practices of Geography teachers, since they are responsible for forming the future generation of map-readers and producers. When dealing with the subject of teaching the teachers, we researched the literature that covers the teaching of Geography and Cartography at school and we applied it to national scope and to our own experience as teachers and researchers.</p>

AbstractBackgroundIn the United Kingdom, 7·1% of people aged over 65 live with dementia. The National Dementia Strategy emphasises the need for a skilled workforce competent in dementia care. In all, 50% of cancer patients are in the 70 plus age group, suggesting that education of therapeutic radiographers in the care of the patient with dementia is key. The aim of the study was to review the literature regarding training of therapeutic radiographers on dementia and use the findings to make recommendations for training in the future in order to provide the best care.Materials and methodsA literature search of electronic databases holding peer-reviewed journals was conducted. Search terms were generated using the Population Intervention Comparison Outcome (PICO) method and retrieved articles were evaluated using the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) tool. Additional evidence was accessed through snowballing and from grey literature.ResultsThe search failed to find any studies on dementia care education within a radiotherapy setting and only a limited number were found in the acute care setting. There appeared to be a large variation in the education provision for healthcare professionals on the subject of dementia care, both at the pre-registration and post-registration stages.FindingsThere is no evidence of a standardised education programme for healthcare professionals in dementia care. In the future, therapeutic radiographers are likely to see more patients with dementia but currently some may not have had the education and training to provide effective holistic care.

Marine operations traditionally have been managed by professional mariners whose years of experience and training have prepared them for that responsibility. The science of artificial intelligence (Al) has made possible the development of computer programs used in monitoring, controlling and simulating the behavior of fully automated vessels. The advent of such programs means that, in the future, ships will be operated by a combination of human and machine intelligence. This paper is intended as a brief review of the subject of expert systems (ES), a branch of Al technology, and as a survey of its current maritime applications.
