The phrase ‘green cities’ refers to an idealised and modernised urban development model that features harmonious development among the environment, ecology, society, culture, and the inhabitants of a city. Harmonious humanistic relations and green pathways have become predominant models in modern urban development. Green city construction has drawn considerable attention. However, the construction and development of green cities involves numerous problems. The various needs of different populations must be coordinated to foster the green development of a city. In this study, the analytic hierarchy process was used to classify factors related to green city construction into different levels. The scope of the empirical verification was eight cities alongshore the drainage area of the Jiangsu section of the Beijing–Hangzhou Canal. Data from 2009, 2014, and 2019 were selected for analysis. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses were performed using these data, and standards were established to serve as a reference for city administrators in the process of decision-making regarding green city construction.

This paper considers four types of the most prominent risks in the supply chain. Their subcriteria and relations between them and within the network are also considered. In a supply chain, risks are mostly created by fluctuations. The aim of this study is to adopt a strategy for eliminating or reducing risks in a supply chain network. Having various solutions helps the supply chain to be resilient. Therefore, five alternatives are considered, namely, total quality management (TQM), leanness, alignment, adaptability, and agility. This paper develops a new network of supply chain risks by considering the interactions between risks. Perhaps, the network elements have interacted with some or all of the factors (clusters) or subfactors. We constitute supply chain risks in the analytic network process (ANP), which attracted less attention in the previous studies. Most of the studies about making a decision in supply chains have been applied in analytic hierarchy process (AHP) network. The present study considers the ANP as a well-known multicriteria decision making (MCDM) technique to choose the best alternative, because of the interdependency and feedbacks of different levels of the network. Finally, the ANP selects TQM as the best alternative among the considered ones.

The concrete assessment index of cheese dyeing enterprises’ cleaner production is filtered out by the classic Delphi method (Delphi) of expert evaluation. According to the characteristic of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP),we have identified the different levels. Finally, assessment index system was established and the weight of each index and standard value were also determined. The cleaner production level can be evaluated eventually more intuitively. So it can provide the technical support and guidance for cleaner production assessment of Cheese Dyeing Enterprises and realize a sustainable development of this kind of enterprises.

The provision of Green Open Space (GOS) constitutes an important need for city and as a mandate ofthe Law on Spatial Planning. Ungaran city currently has the width of public GOS under 20%. It makesUngaran city has not yet qualified to become a Green City. The objectives of this study are to identify andanalyze the width and distribution of GOS existing condition; to analyze the needs of Ungaran’s GOSin order to meet the specified conditions of prevailing law; to arrange the plan of GOS based on GreenPlanning concept; and to arrange the design of GOS based on Green Design concept. The analysis willbe conducted by using Patch Analysis method. The analysis of GOS is based on the inhabitant’s needand the wide area, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The GOS mapping result of Ungarancity is 2.190,66 ha which consists of private GOS (2.112,74 ha) and public GOS (77,92 ha). Based onthe total projection of population in 2032, the public GOS need is 292,41 ha. Whereas the needs ofpublic GOS based on the 20% from wide area (612,17 ha). The direction of public GOS developmentbased on green planning is divided into three alternatives, first, based on the balance distribution ofGOS within the area, and land use priority; second, based on the balance distribution of GOS, land usepriority, distance to the residence, minimum width of 250m2, and the complexity of landform; third,based on the consideration of the spatial patterns and regional asset authority. The direction of publicGOS development is based on green design approach to divide the design based on necessity activityand function patterns of public GOS.

For maintaining the horticultural generation, Land Selection Investigation (LSI) is essential. In the field of farming sciences, the Fuzzy Logic (FL) strategy has been effectively used to take care of numerous issues. Fuzzy with AHP is a Hybrid Fuzzy Logic (HFL) methodology. The policies Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), Fuzzy Numbers, Fuzzy Degree Investigation, Alpha Cut, and Lambda capacity are associated with it. As expressed, the procedure of necessary leadership includes a scope of criteria and a considerable measure of master learning and decisions. The components result from impacts extraordinarily. The capacity of three methods to demonstrate the affectability of the necessary leadership procedure is researched. This study aims at identifying the suitable lands for urban development in Bandar Abbas city based on its real world use regarding specific criteria and sub-criteria. The city of Bandar Abbas is considered as the most important commercial and economic city of Iran. It is also considered as one of the major cities of Iran which has played a pivotal role in the country's development and progress in recent years especially after the end of Iran-Iraq war owing to its embracing the country's main commercial ports. This process has caused the immigration rate into the city to rise significantly over the past 20 years. Thus, the development of the city is meanwhile considered as a high priority. Bandar Abbas city does not have a rich capacity for growth and development due to its special geographical situation being located in coastal border. Among the limitations placed in the city's development way, natural limitations (heights and sea shore) in the northern and southern parts of the city and structural limitations (military centers) in the east and west sides of the city may be referred. Therefore, identifying the suitable lands for urban development within Bandar Abbas city limits is becoming an essential priority. Therefore, different quantitative and qualitative criteria have been studied in order to select and identify these lands. The structures of qualitative criteria for most parts involve ambiguities and vagueness. This leads us to use Fuzzy logic in this study as a natural method for determining the solutions for problems of Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). In the current research, a combination of MCDM methods has been presented for analysis. To assignee weights of the criteria Fuzzy AHP (analytic hierarchy process) is used for land selection and Fuzzy TOPSIS (method for order priority by similarity to ideal solution) is utilized to choose the alternative that is the most appropriate through these criteria weights. The sensitivity analysis of the results is included in the research.

In order to select suitable rainwater harvesting sites within the study area, rainwater harvesting criteria needed to be determined, defined, and structured. Several criteria played an important role in selecting the most suitable rainwater harvesting sites. A multicriteria analysis (MCA) approach, which is widely used to classify potential rainwater harvesting sites, was chosen to help select potential sites in the Wadi Horan region of Iraq. An MCA approach offered a systematic methodology focused on mathematics as well as professional expertise to organize and evaluate complex decisions. Unfortunately, there is no method for choosing among them the most appropriate for a given decision problem, as the choice remains a subjective task. This study used a geographic information system (GIS)-based approach with remote sensing to identify the optimal sites for rainwater harvesting. Four indices: evaporation, cost–benefit, sediment, and hydrology were selected in order to compare the potential sites. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy AHP, and rank order method (ROM) were used to assign weight to the study criteria. The results were then compared using a statistical (variance inverse (VI)) method. A sensitivity analysis was done to test the uncertainties and robustness of the results for each method. The results showed that the ROM and VI methods affected the ranking priority and considered all of the criteria that were sensitive to impact in the ranking process at the different levels compared to the methods of AHP and fuzzy AHP.

The paper presents a possibility to use a new PVM-VSI (Preference Vector Method computed in Vector Space of Increments) method in making decisions that demand that different variants should be considered, while being evaluated with respect to different criteria. Hence, knowledge about them is a must, and that knowledge is not necessarily available quantitatively, whereas the very evaluation should be relatively objective; that is, independent from the decision maker’s preferences or opinions. The paper presents the use of the PVM-VSI method in support decisions related to urban development—to rank projects submitted for implementation within the framework of a citizen budget. The ranking will make it feasible to determine which of the submitted projects will have the dominant influence on the town’s sustainable development, and, subsequently, which ones should be presented to citizens as the better ones out of the projects submitted, and to compare the method mentioned with methods used in similar decision-making problems in the past: Fuzzy AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), Fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), and Fuzzy PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization METHod for Enrichment of Evaluation).

Chemical enterprises in China make important contributions to daily life and the national economy. Since “green development” has been treated as one of the most important developmental strategies in China, scientifically evaluating the level of green development is extremely important for chemical enterprises. In this study, a systematic evaluation method is proposed for chemical enterprises by analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The key to this evaluation method is a new comprehensive indicator, the Green Development Degree (GDD). As an example, Shandong Lubei Enterprise, that has the process of phosphogypsum to sulfuric acid and cement (PSC), is analyzed by GDD. The results show that GDD would increase with the improvement of the PSC process’s green evolution. When compared with the national average level, the GDD of the case enterprise increases from 50 to 133. In addition, experience regarding the green development for chemical enterprises is proposed. This study aims to guide the green development of chemical enterprises, help enterprise groups to assess subsidiary corporations and adjust improvement measures, and achieve the national macro-control of chemical enterprises.

The article addresses the problem of estimating the expected losses of a bank when information security threats to functioning computer systems materialize. A scenario approach to solving the problem is developed based on multi-criteria decision-making methods, taking into account quantitative and qualitative indicators and expert assessment, and applying the analytic hierarchy process for comprehensive assessment of expected losses in probabilistic terms. That allows to take into account different levels of the hierarchy of criteria and the weight of their impact on the calculated results. The process of estimating the probability of materialization of various threats under accepted standards and situational conditions, the actions of the attacker and the consequences on the bank’s functioning is formalized. Expert assessments are grouped with control over the sufficiency of the degree of logic and dispersion of opinions of each expert, compliance with the established requirements for the degree of consistency of opinions of the group of experts, assessment and formalized consideration of the degree of their competence. The process of assessing expected losses is presented as a daily business process of the functioning of the bank’s security system.

With the reduction of land resources, it has become the main content of current city construction that how to exert the most economical benefit with the limited resources. This paper establishes the economic, social and ecological evaluation index system of benefit of urban land resource use and also quantifies it. It uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the entropy value method to determine the index weights, and applies Cobb-Douglas production function into the estimation of land production. Moreover, it also concludes that the social, economic and ecological influences must be considered in the evaluation of benefit of land resource use through the data analysis.
