The write incentive for this article was the desire to characterize the pedagogical potential of the method “One-Voice Collective-Distributed Singing” at the initial stages of training children of primary school age choral performance. Its essence is connected with a specific approach to learning and playing melodies of songs or vocal choral exercises. In the exercises, a sequential transmission / reception of the melodic line from one singer to another / another or from one group of singers to another is provided. The article reveals the author’s position, according to that this method is considered as a special kind of role-playing singing. At the initial stage of training in choral performance, its use (i) creates the favorable conditions for the implementation of an individual-personal approach to students in the process of vocal-choral activity, (ii) contributes to their mastery of vocal, (iii) effectively prepares children for intonationally pure and expressive intonation of the “choral part” performed by them, (iv) contributes to their experience in tracking the melodic line as a dialogue / polylogue of several choral parts, each of which brings new colors. This kind of choral performance stimulates the preparation of children for the development of polyphonic singing.

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of agility development in children of primary school age at physical education classes in extended day groups. The aim of the article is to develop and experimentally substantiate the methodology of developing agility in children of primary school age in groups of extended day by means of moving games. To achieve this goal, the following research methods were used: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, testing the level of agility, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. In the process of studying and analyzing the scientific and methodological literature, it has been determined that the additional use of moving games at physical education classes in extended day groups has a positive effect on the development of agility in primary school pupils. Also, the analysis of existing programs and methods for conducting physical education classes in extended day groups showed that they are small and outdated and need scientific justification. For a predetermined and targeted impact on the agility development in primary school pupils at physical education classes in groups of extended day was developed the author’s methodology, which took into account: the content of the school curriculum in physical education for primary school children, age, gender, fitness level, pupils’ desire to attend physical education classes. To experimentally substantiate the developed methodology, a pedagogical experiment was conducted, the results of which indicate the effectiveness of the author’s methodology for the agility development in children of primary school age at physical education classes in extended day groups.

The authors want to reveal the ways of solving this problem, which is complex, contradictory and at the same time relevant and in demand in modern psychological and pedagogical science, more widely in their article. The research featured the phenomenon of the so-called reading phobia, which is characterized by an irrational obsessive fear of reading that interferes with the normal psycho-emotional development of the child, thus affecting their entire life. The paper introduces a new method of pedagogical correction of reading phobia in children of primary school age. The experiment involved six first-graders (four boys and two girls). They received correctional 40-minute classes twice a week for 3–6 months, depending on the complexity of each particular case of reading phobia. The authors developed six consecutive teaching methods: teamwork of the teacher, the psychologist, and the parents in a friendly atmosphere; face-toface work with the child; use of specially selected texts and methods of involving the child in the reading process; individual approach to the duration of classes, etc. The paper focuses on the neurophysiological characteristics and etiology of reading phobia. Reading phobia is described as a fear of reading instilled by adults, which often affects primary schoolers. The article also contains a list of negative effects of mental development and socialization that children with reading phobia are bound to face if they receive no special therapy. The developed method can be used by primary school teachers and psychologists.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between environmental attitudes and recycling behaviour in primary school age, and to evaluate the role that school and parents play in the prediction of children’s attitudes and behaviour. Primary school pupils aged 8–11 years (n = 116), their parents and their class teachers participated in the study. During the structured face-to-face interviews, children answered questions about their recycling behaviour and environmental attitudes (i.e. eco-affinity and eco-awareness). Parents provided answers on their recycling behaviour, verbal modelling of the behaviour, incentives used when a child recycles waste, and environmental attitudes, while class teachers provided information about the recycling in children’s school. Structural equation models were tested with a purpose to evaluate the role of different independent variables, i.e. only school, only parental factors, or both, when predicting child recycling behaviour. Results of the study showed that children’s environmental attitudes had no significant links to their recycling behaviour. The only factor that appeared to be significant in the prediction of child behaviour was parental recycling behaviour. Furthermore, recycling in schools predicted pupils’ eco-awareness. Based on the study findings, it would be worthwhile to promote more practical training of pro-environmental behaviour, and to strengthen children’s eco-affinity.
