Stamping of softwood is still a poorly researched process of chipless division. The research on commercially available equipment was carried out. Multivariate experiments were held according to standard methods with the number of measurements from 20 to 150 using softwood including conifers. A computer was used to substantiate the obtained coefficients of the regression equations. The magnitude of external factors such as loading mode, duration and the introduction of plasticizers were studied. Exploratory experiments made it possible to accurately establish the magnitude of the external load during direct and oblique collapse, as well as the optimal deformation temperature. Moreover, the studies were carried out taking into account the different moisture content of the wood. Regression models for four factors with two outputs were obtained. Insignificant coefficients were excluded and further research of the influence of humidity, temperature, section size and shape of the work piece on the surface quality of stamped parts were carried out. As a result, the dependence of the magnitude of deformations in wood on load and temperature was built. Solving the optimization problem made it possible to identify the following parameters of the processes of stamping softwood: density within 400 kg/m3 and temperature 156 degrees Celsius

Paddle mixers with horizontal shafts are common at building materials enterprises for the preparation of concretes, mortars, dry mortars. A new design of a horizontal paddle mixer with rod elements located in front of the working surfaces of the blades, changing the trajectories of material particles, increasing their mobility, which leads to an increase in the degree of homogeneity of the mixed material, is considered. The aim of the study was to assess the influence of rod elements on the quality of preparation of a cement-sand mixture, to establish patterns of influence on it by the design and technological parameters of a two-shaft paddle mixer and to determine the areas of their rational values. The following tasks have been solved. A bench installation of a two-shaft horizontal paddle mixer with rod elements has been developed, on which experimental studies have been carried out on the preparation of dry cement-sand mixtures. For the criterion characterizing the quality of the mixture, the ultimate compressive strength of the prism specimens made from it is adopted. Regression equations are obtained that adequately describe the compressive strength of prism samples from the design and technological parameters of the mixer: the angle of the blades, the distance from the working surfaces of the blades to the rod elements, the rotational speed of the blade shafts, and their analysis is performed. The analysis of the change in the ultimate compressive strength of the prism specimens from the parameters under study is carried out, the rational ranges of their values are determined. It was found that a mixer with rod elements allows to obtain a dry cement-sand mixture, products from which have a higher compressive strength. During the work, the method of mathematical planning of experiments was used. As a result of the study, an assessment of the influence of rod elements on the quality of preparation of a cement-sand mixture was carried out, the regularities of the influence on it of the design and technological parameters of a two-shaft paddle mixer and the area of their rational values were established.

Experimental studies carried out in the conditions of a laboratory rolling mill have determined the regularities of the processes of metal flow and roll-out defects of billets during deformation in roughing stands of a universal rail and structural mill. In relation to the box size and gauges types "lying trapeze" and "trapeze", we have determined a significant irregularity of drawing coefficients of the surface layers by roll length and width, as well as the irregularity of drawing in the cross-section of the roll during rolling. It is shown that during deformation the surface zones adjacent to the ends of the roll are subjected to the greatest drawing, and dependence of irregularity of the drawing coefficients over the cross-section of the roll on the shape of the deformation zone has a distinct power-law character. We have established a significant effect of the drawing coefficient, as well as the location and spatial orientation of the billet defects, while the geometric dimensions of the defects don't have such influence on their roll-out coefficients. According to the obtained data, the defects located on the rolling edges are rolled out most intensively both in depth and width, and the transverse defects are rolled out the least intensively. At the same time, the rollability of any defects increases with the growth of drawing coefficient. It is determined that near the side edges of the roll there is an increase in the width (disclosure) of transverse and inclined defects relative to the rolling axis, as well as the disclosure of defects occurs at the end sections of the roll in relation to longitudinal defects. For internal defects, it was found that, similar to surface defects, an increase in the drawing coefficient during rolling contributes to an increase in their roll-out, while the rollout coefficient of internal defects in absolute value is significantly lower than this indicator for surface defects. It was determined that the minimum roll-out coefficient of internal defects occurs when they are located in the core of the sample, while the roll-out coefficient of such defects increases linearly when moving towards the roll surface. The influence of the location, spatial orientation, and drawing coefficient on the rollability of surface and internal defects is generalized in the form of regression equations. It makes it possible to use them in practice to predict the quality of finished rolled metal when changing rolling modes.

The subject of research is the influence of factors of exposure of two-dimensional images on the topology of conductors in the manufacture of printed circuit boards by the method of three-dimensional polymer photomasks. The purpose of the work is ensuring the accuracy and preservation of the geometric dimensions of the conductors of printed circuit boards during LCD exposure of masks on the work piece. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: to analyze photolithography technology and types of polymer 3D printing; to develop a technological process for exposing photopolymer masks to a printed circuit board blank using 3D printing technologies; to conduct experimental studies to determine the optimal exposure parameters; on the basis of the empirical results obtained, to calculate the correlation coefficients of the factors for recall; to construct a linear regression model of the dependence of the deviations of the geometric dimensions of the printed conductors on the parameters of solutions for etching and exposure conditions. Results: The constructed regression models will become the basis for creating a software database that optimizes the initial images of the topology of printed conductors in the automated production of printed circuit boards. This will simplify the process of developing the topology of printed circuit boards, taking into account the real influence of the parameters of the technological operations of etching and exposure on the thickness of the tracks of the conductors of the printed circuit boards, which will reduce the proportion of rejects in the manufacture of single- and double-sided printed circuit boards. Conclusions: an LCD exposure technology and a method for studying the effects of exposure factors on the quality of printed circuit board topology are proposed, which provide sufficient empirical data to create regression models for calculating the influence of technological factors on the final dimensions of conductive paths in the production of printed circuit boards. Further development of the proposed technology will make it possible to manufacture rigid and flexible printed circuit boards completely, with conductive paths, a dielectric base, electronic elements that can be used in various devices.

The paper deals with the issues of obtaining the minimum waviness of surfaces formed by additive processes of TIG welding. It is known that the geometric parameters of the melt bead, which form a reproducible workpiece layer by layer, are determined by both the energy and kinematic characteristics of the process. In this case, the laying of the rollers occurs with optimal overlap, as a result of which it is possible to achieve the maximum density of the model, however, with the simultaneous appearance of a certain waviness due to thermodynamic phenomena in the melt bath. The proposed model of the formation of a bead of melt, the use of which made it possible to establish the rational conditions for laying out the layers. Experimental studies of the process of argon-arc surfacing of models of a given, regression equations for determining the controlled waviness parameter are obtained. It is shown that the waviness parameter is influenced by dynamic phenomena and wave processes that develop under the action of a system of forces during the formation of a melt bead. An improvement in the quality of products is seen in the optimization of the methods of forming the rollers, in ensuring the dynamic stability of the movement of the working head, ensuring the appropriate overlap of the trajectories of movement along the layers of the layout by an amount of 0.5e, establishing a rational arc length, and maintaining the dynamic stability of the arc burning. The response surfaces of the objective functions in the planes of the process parameters are constructed, which provide a clear illustration of the dependence of the controlled geometric parameters on the welding modes.

Imaging through scattering media finds applications in diverse fields from biomedicine to autonomous driving. However, interpreting the resulting images is difficult due to blur caused by the scattering of photons within the medium. Transient information, captured with fast temporal sensors, can be used to significantly improve the quality of images acquired in scattering conditions. Photon scattering, within a highly scattering media, is well modeled by the diffusion approximation of the Radiative Transport Equation (RTE). Its solution is easily derived which can be interpreted as a Spatio-Temporal Point Spread Function (STPSF). In this paper, we first discuss the properties of the ST-PSF and subsequently use this knowledge to simulate transient imaging through highly scattering media. We then propose a framework to invert the forward model, which assumes Poisson noise, to recover a noise-free, unblurred image by solving an optimization problem.

In Rajasthan state the ground waters of some areas like Ramganj-mandi, Morak, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Chittor and Udaipur etc. are susceptible from drinking point of view.To test the quality of groundwater in Chittor district 14, ground water samples were collected from various places and analyzed for pH, E.C., Fluoride and Nitrate parameters by standard methods (A.P.H. A., Washington, USA, 1995). The study revealed that none of the ground waters was found suitable completely from drinking point of view. Some are having electrical conductivity > 1.4 dS/m, some are having pH >8.5, some area having fluoride >1.5 ppm and some are having nitrate>45 ppm. These are the limits of various parameters permitted by various International authorities like Bureau of Indian Standard, Indian Council of Medical Research, world health Organization etc. for drinking waters. So, it is recommended to the residents of above areas to use water for drinking purpose only after reverse osmosis or adopting suitable method of removing excess of Fluoride and Nitrate for drinking water to avoid unwanted pathogenic diseases harmful for human health.

AbstractCooperation between the mobile edge computing (MEC) and the mobile cloud computing (MCC) in offloading computing could improve quality of service (QoS) of user equipments (UEs) with computation-intensive tasks. In this paper, in order to minimize the expect charge, we focus on the problem of how to offload the computation-intensive task from the resource-scarce UE to access point’s (AP) and the cloud, and the density allocation of APs’ at mobile edge. We consider three offloading computing modes and focus on the coverage probability of each mode and corresponding ergodic rates. The resulting optimization problem is a mixed-integer and non-convex problem in the objective function and constraints. We propose a low-complexity suboptimal algorithm called Iteration of Convex Optimization and Nonlinear Programming (ICONP) to solve it. Numerical results verify the better performance of our proposed algorithm. Optimal computing ratios and APs’ density allocation contribute to the charge saving.
