This research aims to develop a textbook for the Basic Reading subject by using multimodality and oriented to character education. This research is research and development, which refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation). Subjects of this research are students and lecturers who have taken part in the Basic Reading subject at English Education Department STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Data collection techniques used are document analysis, questionnaire, interview, and expert judgments. The results of need analysis show that the textbook used in Basic Reading subject has not oriented to character education and used multimodality yet. The development of Basic Reading has been validated by education experts and practitioners (lecturers). Based on the validation of experts and practitioners, this textbook is included in the very well category and confirmed as the feasibility to use. The trial results in implementing the book show that the N-Gain calculation shows 0.43, which is categorized as moderate, which means the book improves students’ cognitive learning outcomes in the reading subject and also instills core ethical values in daily living. Thus, this textbook is feasible to be used in the learning process at Basic Reading Subject.

The overall aim of this study is to develop an authentic-based instructional material for writing skill. Therefore, the research applied Research and Development design and used ADDIE model which consists of five stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. A Questionnaire was given to the third-semester students in Education Department of UIN Alauddin Makassar as the instrument to find out the students’ need analysis. After designing the product, the material was validated by two experts and then implemented to the students. The implementation process of the authentic-based instructional materials was done twice in a small number of students consisted 10 students as the first try out and in a large number of students consisted of 30 students as the second try out. Then, evaluation of the materials was given by the experts, the lecturers, and the students. Data were analyzed using percentages and charts. In addition, the analysis of the data shows that most students, lecturers, and the experts gave positive responses towards the developed materials. The material was revised three times by considering the comments and suggestions by the experts, lecturers, and the students. The model of the developed materials consisted of some aspects namely goal, topic, activities, approach, media, genres, content, and testing strategy. Moreover, the learning process consisted of four parts namely discussion, pre-writing, writing, and post-writing.

Need analysis has become part of ADDIE model in developing materials for language learning. This research aims at examining the importance of need analysis as the initial focal step prior to the development of materials for Speaking for Academic Purpose. It is also investigating the reliability of ADDIE model prior to developing teaching material, specifically the ‘analyze’ stage. This research is typically a qualitative descriptive approach which conducted by using survey method. The instruments are students questionnaires and experts questionnaires created in online google form. There are totally 68 higher education students consist of thirty-three (33) seventh semester students and thirty-five (35) of fifth semester students taking the role as the respondents. The experts questionnaires are distributed to six lecturers who have the same interest in materials development and teach English for academic Purposes. The most result showed that 40 and 21 respondents consider ‘very important’ and ‘important’ which shows that 90% of all respondents has similar opinion on the importance of textbook for the course of Speaking for Academic Purpose availability. All of the expert-respondents  consider that it is important to develop materials for the course of Speaking for Academic purpose, shown by the dominant answers of ‘yes’Thus, by implementing ADDIE model, the researchers are convinced to develop materials for Speaking for Academic Purpose for students of English Education Study Program in Nusa Nipa University.

This study aimed to develop and determine the quality of the illustrative module of guided inquiry-based physics learning with character education. This research was a development research (R&D) which refers to the Borg & Gall model. The limited trial was carried out on 10 grade VII students and the expanded trial was carried out on 31 grade VIIA students at SMP Negeri 24 Surakarta. The data were taken using test techniques for cognitive learning outcomes, and observation techniques for character and psychomotor learning outcomes. Furthermore, it was analyzed by using two-sample paired t-test, while the psychomotor and affective learning outcomes were analyzed using the Friedman test. The results showed that the illustrative module of guided inquiry-based Physics learning containing character education was developed to have a total average score of 265.5 with the "very good" category. In conclusion, there was an increase in student learning outcomes after following the learning process using this developed illustrative module. This study aims to develop mathematical teaching materials on the subject of multiplication and find out their feasibility and practicality. This research is based on the lack of students' understanding of multiplication material and the lack of references other than worksheets or textbooks used by teachers. The renewal of this teaching material is the presence of a QR code in each chapter that can connect students to videos created by researchers and uploaded on YouTube. This study uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate). Based on the five stages, the development of You-MathBook teaching materials resulted in a percentage of eligibility from three validators of 90.9%, a practical percentage of 84.1% and effectiveness calculated with a Gain Test of 0.35 indicating an increase in student learning outcomes in the 'medium' category. Based on these results You-MathBook teaching materials are declared feasible, practical and effective to increase understanding of the concept of multiplication in fifth (V) grade students of Darul Huda Islamic Elementary School in Semarang.

Being smart and having good grades are the dreams of students in learning process. However, to achieve those goals they have to be aware that affective or character aspect is equally important as cognitive and psychomotor aspect in the learning process. Thus, this study aimed to reveal the learning process of EFL learners’ morals toward education character. The research method of this study was quantitative; the questionnaire was used to collect the data. A total number of 34 participants were selected from each semester of English education department (EED) at STKIP Muhammadiyah Aceh Barat Daya by using convenience sampling. The data were analyzed quantitatively by using percentage. The results revealed that (1) most of students had positive attitudes toward character education in the learning process and (2) the common positive responses implied by EED students toward character education were in terms of commitment, responsibility and discipline. In summary, most of the students had a good character toward the implementation of education character in the classroom while having courses. However, there were only a few of EED students who were still not able to imply a good attitude toward education character in the classroom. Therefore, it is recommended for lecturers to give more attention toward the implementation of students’ education character in the classroom and continuously create strategies to develop students’ good character so that they will have good moral and knowledge.
