This research was to know students' achievement and improvement risk-taking attitudes in grade 7 at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bekasi City towards mathematics through Inquiry-Based Open-Ended (IBOE) learning. This research is quantitative research with the research design Non-equivalent Pre and Post-test Control-Group Design. There are 156 students as a sample. It was taken using the purposive sampling technique from two Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). Seventy-seven students in the experimental class (IBOE) and 79 students in the control class (Direct Learning: DL). They were grouped according to previous mathematics abilities (level high, medium, and low).  The instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 17 valid statements adopted from the Domain-Specific Risk-Taking (DOSPERT) scale. The results of this research were reviewed based on early mathematical skills, achievement of the process of building a risk-taking attitude for MTs students. Students who received IBOE learning were no better than students who received DL.  Meanwhile, based on the early mathematical skills, students who increase in building a risk-taking attitude received IBOE learning was better than students who received DL.

Problem-solving is a process or thinking activity to solve a problem. Mathematical problem-solving skillis needed for students both in the process of understanding mathematics itself and in everyday life. The problem solving can beachieved by implementingthe learning using a problem-solving approachwhich trains students to deal with various problems including individuals and group problemsto be addressed individually or together. This learning is oriented towards the investigation and discovery which is solving the problems. It is the basis for students to solve problems critically, systematically, logically, and creatively as well as the ability to collaborateeffectively and to present fundamental knowledge which in turn can improvethe solving skill. This study aimed to examine whether the improvement of mathematical problem-solving skillof students learned with the problem-solving approach wasbetter than students taught using the conventional learning. The improvement was examined based on the students’ levels. This study applied a pre-test and post-test control group design. The population of the study was Year 7 students of one of the junior high schools in Pidie, Indonesia, consisting of seven classes in 2017/2018.Two classes, a control, and an experimental class were selected as the sample through purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to obtain the data is the mathematical problem-solving skill test.The data was then analyzed by employing a two-way ANOVA test using SPSS. The results of the study showed that the improvement of mathematical problem-solving skill of the students learning with the problem-solving approach is better than the students experiencing the conventional learning, reviewed based on student levels. There is no interaction between the learning models and student levels on mathematical problem-solving skills. The resultsare expected to be used as a reference for mathematics teachers to apply the problem-solving approach in the learning process to improve mathematical problem-solving skills.

AbstrakModel pembelajaran snow cube throwing dikembangkan untuk melatih kemampuan intuisi siswa melalui kegiatan menebak/memperkirakan pola dari masalah-masalah eksplorasi yang diberikan. Sesuai dengan kekhasan model pembelajaran ini, siswa dapat berlatih banyak soal berbasis eksplorasi. Banyaknya soal-soal eksplorasi yang diberikan akan membantu siswa dalam mempertajam kemampuan intuisinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan intuisi matematis yang mendapat pembelajaran SCTBE, eksploratif dan ekspositori ditinjau secara keseluruhan dan berdasarkan kategori sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control-group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII dari tiga sekolah di Kota Cimahi. Pemilihan sampel dalam penelitian kuantiatatif didasarkan pada teknik strata dan kelompok. Tes kemampuan intuisi matematis yang digunakan berbentuk uraian yang terdiri dari 5 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Secara keseluruhan peningkatan kemampuan intuisi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran snow cube throwing berbasis eksplorasi lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran eksploratif dan ekspositori; ditinjau berdasarkan kategori sekolah, pembelajaran snow cube throwing berbasis eksplorasi lebih cocok digunakan pada sekolah kategori tengah yang memiliki karakteristik aktif dan mandiri. The Use of Exploration-Based Snow Cube Throwing Learning Model in Improving Students' Mathematical Intuition AbilityAbstractThe snow cube throwing learning model was developed to practice students' intuition ability through guessing/predicting patterns of the given exploration problems. Following the uniqueness of this learning model, students can practice many exploration-based questions. The number of exploratory questions given will help students sharpen their intuitive abilities. This study aims to analyze the improvement of mathematical intuition ability that obtained SCTBE, explorative, and expository learning reviewed as a whole and based on school categories. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control-group design. The study population was class VIII students from three schools in Cimahi City. Sample selection in quantitative research is based on strata and group techniques. The mathematical intuition ability test used is in the form of a description consisting of 5 questions. The results showed that: Overall improvement in mathematical intuition ability of students who obtained snow cube throwing based on exploration learning was better than students who obtained explorative and expository learning; based on the school category, snow cube throwing based on exploration learning is more suitable for middle category schools that have active and independent characteristics.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perkembangan motorik halus antara kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan menggunakan kegiatan kolase dan kelompok anak yang di belajarkan menggunakan kegiatan mewarnai pada B di TK Gugus VIII Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini tergolog dalam penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancanga Non-Equivalen Post Test Only Control Group Desain. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelompok B yang ada di Gugus VIII Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019, yang berjumlah 96 orang anak. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu anak kelompok B TK Kumara Kerti yang berjumlah 15 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelompok B TK Shinta Kumara yang berjumlah 15 orang anak sebagai kelas kontrol, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Data yang diperoleh menggunakan tehnik analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial (uji Uji-t). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, di peroleh thitung =10,10 dan ttabel (pada taraf taraf signifikansi 5%) =2,048. Hal ini berarti bahwa thitung > ttabel sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa perkembangan motorik halus kelompok anak yang belajarkan menggunakan kegiatan kolase lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok anak yang dibelajarkan dengan kegiatan mewarnai. Dengan demikian, kegiatan kolase berpengaruh positif terhadap perkembangan motorik halus Kelompok B di TK Gugus VIII Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019.Kata Kunci : Kata-kata kunci: Anak usia dini, kegiatan kolase, perkembangan motorik halus The study aims to determine the difference in fine motor development between groups of children that are taught using collage activities and groups of children that are used to use coloring activities on Kelompok B TK GUGUS VIII Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. This study included quantitative research types. The research has been goed in experimental quasi research with the Non-equivalent Post Test Only Control Group design. The population of this research is Kelompok B Gugus VIII Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019 a total of 96 children. This research sample is the child Kelompok B TK Kumara Kerti which amounted to 15 people as an experimental class while Kelompok B TK Shinta Kumara Which amounted to 15 children as the control class, sampling using cluster sampling technique. Data obtained using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistical analysis (test-t test). Based on the results of data analysis, in obtaining Thitung = 10.10 and Ttabel (at the level of significance 5%) = 2.048. This means that Thitung > Ttabel so that it can be interpreted that the fine motor development of a child group that belteaches using a higher collage activity compared to a group of children who are used to the coloring activities. Vocabulary is an essential component in learning English. It influences four English skills; they are listening, speaking, reading, and writing, for getting a good result in English. In teaching learning process, the teacher often implements the less interesting method, technique, or even media of vocabulary mastery in teaching and learning process which make the students to be bored, inactive, an uniterested in memorizing English vocabulary. Some media can be interested as the solutions in vocabulary mastery, they are Snake Ladders media and Scrabble media.The investigation was undergone by quantitative research. The researcher applied experimental research. This research underwent pre-test post-test control group design. To analyze data, t-test formula is used to measure the result of collected data. From the t-test measurement, it showed that t-test is 3.15 and t-table is 2.66. It means that t-hit > t-table. Based on the collected data, there is different result of using Snake Ladders from Scrabble media toward students’ vocabulary mastery. It was found that the students who are taught by using Snake Ladders resulted significant outcome than those are instructed by Scrabble media. It means that Snake Ladders is effective to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery.

The background of this research is the difficulties of the students in expressing ideas in writing. Research design uses pre-test and post-test control group design, with random sampling. Subject is the class V students of elementary school in Kejaksan Cirebon, object is the ability in writing narrative essay. The number of sample is 72 students. Experiments class is class V students of SDN Kebon Baru I and class control is SDN Kebon Melati II. Instrument of this research is test and observation. Result data of the research is analyzed by using SPSS V. 17.Conclusion (1) learning  process through group investigation model is better  than conventional model based on the increase of pre-test result 63,00 to become 80,39 (2) the activity of experiment class is getting better with the acquisition 97,23 % than the class control 69,45 (3) based on testing group investigation model has p-Value number 0,000. Value 0,000 < level of significant 0,05, and t table (1,70) < t hitung (6,102) means. Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, it means there is an effect to the group investigation model to the ability of writing narrative essay of class V students.

Background  :  Lack  of  complementary feeding behavior is one of the problems in Indonesia. Nutrition education about complementary feeding among mother from infants aged 6-24 months should be carried out to support compelementary feeding behavior. Module with an easily language punctuated by images and can be learned at home is expected to incerase complementary feeding behavior among mothers from child under two years old.Method : The design of this research was quasi-experimental with non-randomized pre-test and post-test  control  group  design. Training of complementary feedings module were given for four meetings. The annalyze were conducted by SPSS program.  Result  : This study found that the median age of subjects between two group are adults. The median duration of education are 9 years. There was no difference of Financial families outcome in the both of groups is low. Nutrition education with module can increase complementary feeding behavior at intervention group  and the improvement of this scores better than control group. Complementary feeding behavior retention increased significant  among 2 weeks and 1 month after intervention.Conclusion : Nutrition education with module contribute to improve complementary feeding behavior among mothers from child under two years old.

<p><em>This research was conducted in RA Nurhayati, Medan Tembung District, on February 25 to March 9, 2019. The type of research carried out was an experimental study with a quantitative approach. This research method uses Quasi Experimental Designs with Non Equevalent Control Group Design. The population of 29 children by sampling using the Total Sampling technique, so that the entire population is used as a sample. This study aims to determine: (1) Children's linguistic intelligence (2) Children's linguistic intelligence using pop up book media (3) Significant influence of pop up book media on children's linguistic intelligence in RA Nurhayati District Medan Tembung T.A. 2018/2019. The results showed that the use of pop-up media influenced linguistic intelligence of children aged 5-6 years. This is illustrated by the results of the study obtained an average pre-test 26.72 and an average post-test of 52.08. So that the linguistic intelligence of children in the experimental class is better than the control class with an average pre-test 25 and an average post-test of 44.83. Based on the results of hypothesis testing obtained tcount&gt; ttable is 3.226&gt; 2.131 with a significant number of α = 0.05. Thus the hypothesis Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted so that it can be stated There is a Significant Effect of the Use of Pop Up Book Media on Linguistic Intelligence of Children Aged 5-6 Years in RA Nurhayati Medan Tembung District T.A. 2018/2019.</em></p>

This research was purpose to find out the effect of Numbered Heads Together model toward problem solving ability of thematic integrative learning of IV SD Negeri 3 Krapyak Jepara. This research using experiment method type quantitative research with research design Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this research is graders IV SD Negeri 3 Krapyak Jepara which amount 48 students. Retrieval sample used Probability Sampling Technique type Simple Random Sampling. By virtue of one sample t test, providable tcount > ttable (10,371 > 1,714) so Ha accepted, its mean problem solving ability of the student that given Numbered Heads Together model over 65, from calculation of the test to test with two sample t test, providable tcount = 9,052. Because ?óÔé¼ÔÇ£ 2,01< 9,052 > 2,01 so Ha accepted, its mean problem solving ability of the student that given Numbered Heads Together model better than student who was given the conventional model and the result of double correlation test calculation result Ryx1x2 = 0,946 then testing its significance using F test with the result Fcount> Ftable(89,5 > 3,47) so the coefficient of double correlation that found is significant. Its mean there is a strong correlation between cooperation and braveness toward problem solving ability. Thus, it can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together model having an affect on problem solving ability of?é?á the student in thematic integrative class IV SD Negeri 3 Krapyak Jepara.

In a basketball game, shooting is an element that determines a team's victory. One of the shooting techniques in basketball is the free-throw technique. Purpose: This study aimed to assess the improvement of free-throw processes in basketball games using the ring modification method. Methods and Material: This study uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods with the pre-test post-test control group design. Statistical analysis used: the pre-test and post-test were carried out using a shooting skill assessment scale instrument in basketball games, and then treatment is given. Result: The average increase in the experimental group is better than the control group after treatment is delivered. Conclusion: the results of the study show that ring modification can affect improving shooting techniques from the free-throw line on basketball extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 5 Bandung.

This research is motivated by the lack of motivation to learn, the difficulty of students in understanding the material, and the monotonous and boring learning methods. Therefore, innovative learning methods and media are needed so that the learning process becomes more enjoyable. Then the media can be used as a solution to these problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the mentimeter media in understanding student material. This research is quantitative research with experimental type. The design of this research was the Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design which was carried out at MTsN 9 Bantul by using a random sampling technique. Based on statistical calculations that have been carried out in the experimental class and control class, the significance value is 0.000. Because the sig value 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. Thus it can be said that there is a difference in the understanding of the Arabic language material for classes using mentimeter media with classes using conventional media.
