Abstract: Infectious diseases are still major problems in many developing countries, including Indonesia. The effectiveness of exclusive breastfeeding is manifested in the reduction of specific disease incidences in infants who receive breast milk compared to formula -fed infants. This study used correlation method with a cross sectional design. Respondents were 90 women who had toddlers (aged less than 3 years) with histories of infectious disesases from September 2014 until Desember 2014. Data were obtained by using questionnaires. The results showed that there were as many as 23 toddlers (26%) with exclusive breastfeeding. History of infectious disease was found in 26 toddlers (28.9%). Regarding the relationship of exclusive breastfeeding with a history of infectious disease (α = 0.05) was found (p) = 0.001 and x2 = 11.883. There was a relationship between breastfeeding with a history of infectious disease in children aged less than 1-3 years in the Mopusi village, Lolayan Bolaang Mongondow Induk.Keywords: exclusive breastfeeding , history of infectious diseases , toddlers .Abstrak: Penyakit infeksi masih merupakan penyakit utama di banyak Negara berkembang, terutama Indonesia. Efektivitas ASI dalam mengendalikan infeksi dapat dibuktikan dengan berkurangnya kejadian beberapa penyakit spesifik pada bayi yang mendapat ASI di banding bayi yang mendapat susu formula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemberian ASI ekslusif dengan riwayat penyakit infeksi pada batita di desa Mopusi kecamatan Lolayan kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Induk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasi dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Responden ialah ibu yang memiliki batita dengan riwayat penyakit infeksi sebanyak 90 orang di desa Mopusi pada bulan September 2014-Desember 2014. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan sebanyak 23 batita (26%) mendapatkan ASI ekslusif. Riwayat penyakit infeksi ditemukan pada 26 batita (28,9%). Mengenai hubungan pemberian ASI ekslusif dengan riwayat penyakit infeksi (α = 0,05) didapatkan p = 0,001 dan x2 = 11,883. Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara pemberian ASI dan riwayat penyakit infeksi pada anak umur 1-3 tahun di desa Mopusi kecamatan Lolayan kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Induk.Kata kunci: ASI ekslusif, riwayat penyakit infeksi, batita

Infants who fail to grow much occur in the third month or fourth month of early life. Early breastfeeding of the ASI causes mothers not to give breast milk and cause infectious diseases that result in stunting in infants. The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship of early breastfeeding with nutritional status (PB/U) age 4-7 months in Ratu Samban Sub-district of Bengkulu City.  This research uses analytic observational with a cross-sectional design. The results showed the nutritional status of PB / U short category 18.3% and MP ASI early 66.7% while the statistical test showed probability (p) of 0.273 (p> 0.05).  There is no correlation between early breastfeeding of MP and nutritional status of PB / U age 4-7 months in Ratu Samban Sub-district of Bengkulu City. Need to do re-research a using Cohort method and with other variables.Bayi yang gagal tumbuh banyak terjadi pada bulan ketiga atau bulan ke empat awal kehidupan. Pemberian MP ASI dini mengakibatkan ibu tidak berusaha memberikan ASI dan menyebabkan terjadinya penyakit infeksi yang mengakibatkan stunting pada balita. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pemberian MP-ASI dini dengan status gizi (PB/U) pada bayi usia 4-7 bulan di Kecamatan Ratu Samban Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Hasil penelitian menunjukan status gizi PB/U kategori pendek 18,3% dan MP ASI dini 66,7% sedangkan uji statistik menunjukkan nilai probabilitas (p) sebesar 0,273 (p > 0,05).  Tidak ada hubungan antara pemberian MP ASI dini dengan status gizi PB/U usia 4-7 bulan di Kecamatan Ratu Samban Kota Bengkulu . Hal ini berkaitan dengan pemberian makanan pendamping ASI sementara sebagai makanan prelaktal sebelum ASI ibu keluar dan diberikan dalam jumlah sedikit. Lebih baik dilakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan menggunakan metode Kohort dan dengan variabel lain.

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is a respiratory infection that affect both upper or lower respiratory tracts.  The virus or bacteria causes ARI which lasts for 14 days. Indonesia had the highest mortality rate for ARI, in 2008 around 36.4% children infected; in 2009 around 32.1%; in 2010 around 18.2%; and in 2011 around 38.8%. The prevalence of ARI in Siwalima Health Center around 3240 children in 2020. Breastfeeding has huge benefit for both moms and babies. The prevalence of breastfeeding in Indonesia is 66.1%, but there are two provinces, West Papua (34%) and Maluku (37.2%) that have not reach the target yet. The purpose of this study is to find out if there is a correlation between Exclusive breastfeeding with history of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) in children in November 2021 in Siwalima Village, Aru Island, Maluku. This study uses observational analytical research methods, and cross- sectional design. The subject of this study are children age 0 - 24 months and lived in Siwalima Village. The sample of this study is using total sampling technic and there are 186 respondents. Questioners with yes or no answer are using in this study. The result of Spearman test showed that there was a correlation between Exclusive breastfeeding with history of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) in children in November 2021 in Siwalima Village, Aru Island, Maluku with a p value 0.01 < a = 0.000. There are 84 respondent (45.2%) had ARI and 102 respondent (34.8%) didn’t, also 91 respondents (48.9%) didn’t receive exclusive breastfeeding and 95 respondent receive exclusive breastfeeding. With this study, it is hoped that exclusive breastfeeding can be increased, especially for children aged 0 – 6 months in order to prevent infection.

<p>Function disorders were generally occurred due to individual factors and environmental factors. One of the industries that experienced a lot of development was PT. Semen Batu Raja which is located in Kelurahan Way Lunik. Dust particles with a size of fewer than 50 microns that normally fly can enter the workers' respiratory tract by being sucked in during breathing (ILO, 1998). Public Health Center of Way Lunik mentioned that the prevalence of ARI that occurred during 2016 amounted to 243 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of cement dust levels to vital lung capacity in the community around PT. Semen Batu Raja in 2017. The research method was cross-sectional design. Independent variable was humidity of the house, room temperature, ventilation, smoking habits, gender, age, length of stay, and knowledge. While the dependent variable was lung vital capacity. Based on the results of the study, of the 145 Panjang community respondents around PT. Semen Batu Raja obtained 82 respondents who were diagnosed with pulmonary function disorders. Factors that have a significant influence to pulmonary function disorders were ambient dust levels with mean value 171.5 µg / Nm3 (0.025), home ventilation with mean value ≥ 10% (0.041) and smoking history of respondents with the greatest risk was active smokers. Other factors that were not statistically related were house humidity (0.041) mean 63.2%, house temperature (0.654) mean 29.5⁰C, gender, length of stay (0.82), and knowledge (0.654) This study is expected to be reference studies and studies for several parties.</p>

Abstract: Nutrition under the red line is a state of severe nutritional deficiency caused by low consumption of energy and protein from daily food. Sungai Tiung  is the village that has the highest number of children under five with under red line (BGM) from other villages in the working area of Rawat Inap Cempaka Health Center. This study aims to know the relationship of infectious diseases history and mother factors to under red line (BGM) among toddler in Sungai Tiung. This research uses cross-sectional design. The samples are 90 respondents. Sampling used purposive sampling. The independent variables are a history of infectious disease, knowledge, education, and mother care pattern. The dependent variable is under red line (BGM). The instrument in this study used questionaire and Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS). The result showed that there is a relationship history of infectious diseases  with BGM (p-value = 0.03). The results also showed no relationship of knowledge (p-value = 0.12), education (p-value = 0.75) and mother care pattern (p-value = 0.32) with BGM. There is a relationship history of infectious diseases  with BGM. So that, there should be efforts to prevent infectious diseases in toddler. Keywords : under red line, toddler, infectious diseases

Objectives: This study aims at determining the relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and morbidity in babies aged 1-14 months in the city of Sukabumi.Materials and Methods: This study uses a cross-sectional method with a sample of 71 babies aged 1-14 months in the city of Sukabumi. Data sources used are primary and secondary data, and the Spearman test is used for dataanalysis.Results: The results showed that there was no relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and ISPA (p=1,000), there was no relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and diarrhea (p=1,000), there was no relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and fever (p=0,477), there is no relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and seizures (p=1,000), there is no relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and pneumonia (p=1,000).Conclusion: The study concludes that there is no relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and morbidities namely ISPA, diarrhea, fever, seizures and pneumonia in babies aged 1-14 months in the city of Sukabumi.Keywords: Exclusive breastfeeding, morbidity

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem, meaning that this situation increase as a result of nutritional deficiencies that have accumulated over a long period of time. Age 0-24 months is a critical period in the growth and development of children, because this is the period of the most optimal period of child both for intelligence and physical. WHO / UNICEF recommends 4 important things that must be done, they are: first giving milk to the baby immediately within 30 minutes after birth, second giving only breast milk or exclusive breastfeeding until the baby is 6 months old, third giving complementary feeding (MP-ASI) since the baby aged 6-24 months and fourth continue breastfeeding until the child is 24 months or older. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between Exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding (MP-ASI), maternal income and education to the incidence of stunting in the Sumbang I Puskesmas Kabupaten Banyumas.This research is a descriptive analytic using cross sectional design. The population and sample are all children under the age of 12-36 months in the working area of the Puskesmas Sumbang I. Samples were obtained by purposive sampling method. Data collection methods by filling out questionnaires regarding the history of exclusive breastfeeding, MP-ASI and education and income of parents. Stunting data were obtained by measuring the height of a toddler using Microtoice compared to toddler age.The results showed no significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.372), MP- ASI (p = 0.823), education level (p = 0.979) and family income (p = 0.13) to the incidence of stunting in the region of Puskesmas Sumbang I in Kabupaten Banyumas and all variables are not risk factors for stunting.

Abstract: Breast milk is the best food for babies, especially in the first month of life. Breast milk contains all nutrients to build and provide the energy needed by the baby. The low rate of breastfeeding is a threat to child development. Several factors related to the success of exclusive breastfeeding are the level of knowledge of the mother and husband's support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers and husband's support  towards the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Lubuk Kilangan Puskesmas in 2017. This study was analytical with a cross sectional design. The population in this study amounted to 153 respondents. A sample of 31 respondents obtained by simple ramdom sampling. Data were analyzed bivariate. The statistical test results obtained p-value = 0,000. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between the knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding and husband's support for the success of exclusive breastfeeding.

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Stunting merupakan suatu istilah yang menggambarkan kondisi pertumbuhan tinggi badan kurang berdasarkan umur disesuaikan dengan Z-Score (<-2SD). Stunting pada balita dapat diakibatkan oleh kurangnya asupan zat gizi yang diperlukan bagi pertumbuhan anak. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan suplementasi vitamin A, pemberian imunisasi dan riwayat penyakit infeksi yakni diare dan ISPA terhadap kejadian stunting.Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan suplementasi vitamin A, pemberian imunisasi, dan penyakit infeksi terhadap stunting pada anak usia 24-59 bulan di Puskesmas Mulyorejo, Surabaya.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan metode cross sectional. Besar sampel adalah 107 anak usia 24-59 bulan di Puskesmas Mulyorejo, Surabaya. terdiri dari 25 anak kelompok stunting dan 82 anak kelompok non- stunting. Cara pengambilan data melalui data sekunder posyandu dan wawancara langsung orang tua anak dengan pengisian kuisioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square, Fisher Exact, dan Mann Whitney.Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil terdapat hubungan suplementasi vitamin A dengan stunting (p=0,000), tidak ada hubungan antara pemberian imunisasi terhadap stunting (p=0,332). Dalam riwayat penyakit infeksi, frekuensi diare dan ISPA ditemukan tidak ada hubungan dengan  stunting (p=0,053 dan p=0,082), begitu pula pada lama diare dan lama ISPA tidak berhubungan dengan stunting (p= 0,614 dan p=0,918).Kesimpulan: Suplementasi vitamin A berhubungan signifikan dengan stunting yang diamati pada anak usia 24-59 bulan di Puskesmas Mulyorejo, Surabaya. Kata kunci: kejadian stunting, vitamin A, imunisasi, penyakit infeksi, anak usia 24-59 bulanABSTRACTBackground: Stunting is a term that describes condition of lower height-for-age Z-Score (<-2SD). The method of data collection was through secondary data from posyandu and direct interviews with parents by filling out questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test, fisher exact, and Mann Whitney.Results: The results of this study indicated that there was a relationship between vitamin A supplementation and with stunting (p = 0.000). There was no relationship between immunization and stunting (p = 0.332). In the history of infectious diseases, the frequency of diarrhea and ARI was found to have no relationship with stunting (p = 0.053 and p = 0.082), as well as the duration of diarrhea and duration of ARI there was no association with the stunting (p = 0.614 and p = 0.918).Conclusion: Vitamin A supplementation has significant relationship with stunting in children aged 24-59 months at Puskesmas Mulyorejo, Surabaya.

Exclusive breastfeeding is a condition in which infants are only given breast milk without the addition of other fluids and foods. until the baby reaches 6 months old. Breast milk strengthen the immune system in infants so they can avoid various diseases including diarrhea. This study aims to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhea in infants aged 0-6 months in the Sudiang Community Health Center. This research is an analytical survey research with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted at the Sudiang Health Center, Makassar City in the period November 1st to December 31st, 2019. The total respondents were 89 mothers with babies aged 0-6 months. The results showed that most of the respondents were mothers with male babies (61%), most of the mothers' education was high school graduates (46%), housewives (75%) with low economic background (56%). Exclusive breastfeeding related to the incidence of diarrhea in children aged 0-6 months in the Sudiang Community Health Center with a value of p <0.05 (p = 0.001). In addition, no significant relationship on maternal nipple hygiene to diarrhea in children aged 0-6 months p <0.05 (p = 0.075). In conclusion, this study showed there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhea in children aged 0-6 months in Sudiang Health Center. There is a relationship between hand hygiene and the incidence of diarrhea in children aged 0-6 months in Sudiang Health Center, Makassar.

Maternity Waiting Homes is a regional government program that aims to reduce maternal mortality. But in reality, there are still many people who do not utilize this facility. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of maternal health conditions on the utilization of maternity waiting homes for maternity motherhood. This research is an explanatory survey research with cross sectional design. The study was conducted in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal health conditions and the utilization of the maternity waiting house for maternity motherhood in Langkat Regency (p = 0.027).
