Physical education in modern higher education should contribute to an effective solution to reduce student morbidity. Therefore, one of the promising directions for improving the system of physical education in higher education institutions is the development of sound didactic techniques and methods that provide a comprehensive solution to the problem in question. The aim of the study is to develop recommendations for the correction of the physical condition of female students belonging to special medical groups, contributing to the improvement of the physical condition of these female students. The methods used were the theoretical analysis of literature, generalisation, the study of practical experience, self-observation, testing, a formative experiment and methods of mathematical statistics. The participants in the study were female first-year medical students in a special medical group comprised of 40 persons. The proposed recommendation for physical condition correction includes the exercises of Pletnev and Pilatas, their methodology and sequence of performance; components of physical activity considering the functional capabilities of female students. Upon the conclusion of the study, there was a significant improvement in health, endurance, strength and speed indicators. The growth rate of physical fitness indicators in the experimental group increased from 36.35 % to 49.21 %, and less significantly in the control group from 8.20 % to 22.02 %, the number of students with a higher level of health increased from 20 to 40 and decreased from 20 to 10, respectively. Thus, the proposed organisational-methodological recommendations make it possible to increase the level of physical and functional fitness of female students of the special medical group and to strengthen their physical health.

The article analyzes the importance of shaping in the system of physical education of female students of higher education institutions. It is revealed that at present, there are not enough scientific developments, material base, not enough special computer programs with the method of assessment and correction of the figure. The solution to these problems is facilitated by shaping classes, which help to improve the physical perfection of female students. It is determined that shaping is one of the types of health gymnastics. The main feature of the method of shaping is that it is the most effective way to rebuild the human body through exercise, as well as improving the overall physical fitness of students in higher education. Preservation and strengthening of public health in the current state of society with its inherent socio-economic characteristics and significant demand for values is interdisciplinary and is the subject of medical, biological, pedagogical, psychological, social and a number of other basic sciences. The solution to these problems is facilitated by shaping classes, which help to improve the physical perfection of female students. Today, shaping belongs to health systems that use gymnastic exercises and adhere to the principle of their strict regulation. Harmonious physique is one of the main signs of human health, because it is known that the shortcomings of the physique complicate the work of internal organs. The method of shaping is largely determined by the direction of the program, an individual approach to each person depending on age, body type, their functional and physical condition. Individualization should be aimed at correcting the physique in eliminating inconsistencies with the model level within a genetically determined somatotype.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of 8 week static balance exercises on reaction time. 38 sedentary female students voluntarily participated in the study. The volunteers were selected randomly and were separated into 2 groups as the experiment group (n=19) and the control group (n=19). While the experiment group participated in static balance exercises in their physical education lessons for 8 weeks, the control group only participated in the physical education lessons. The visual and auditory reaction times of the samples were carried out with the Newtest 1000 device as pre-test and post-test. The data were evaluated with the SPSS 20.0 statistical software program and since there was no normal distribution, the wilcoxon signed rank test which is one of the non-parametrical tests was carried out and the significance level was determined as p<0.05. The age average of the volunteers (n=38), was determined as 15.8±1,50 years, height averages as 160,3±5,48 cm and body weight averages as 53,33±7,50 kg. As a result of the statistical analysis, it was found that there was no significant differences in either of the groups between the pre-rest and post-test visual and auditory reactions (p>0.05). As a result, it was determined that 8 week balance tests did not affect the visual and auditory reaction times of the female students.

This study aimed to compare physical activity and fitness of physical education and sports teacher department students and investigate the relationship between physical parameters and academic success. Twenty-five (12 male and 12 female) students volunteered to participate in this study. Sportive background and higher education examination points, shuttle run test scores, and academic success pieces of information of students were taken from the personal folder with the permission of faculty administration. Body composition measured via bioelectric impedance method, shuttle run test performed. Self-admitted international physical activity questionary (long form) was performed. Sportive background and higher education examination points, physical activity levels, and academic success have founded similar within both sexes. However, aerobic capacity results decreased when compared to the entrance of the college with graduation in both male and female students. Also, there was a correlation between VO2max change percentage and academic success. Requirements of physical education and sports department cannot maintain until graduation. These results indicate that there is not an impact of physical tests to graduation quantities of the physical education teacher. However, the relationship between VO2max change percentage and academic success is important indicator that active playing sports and physical activity may be beneficial. To grow up better and more quantitative physical education teachers, future studies require to investigate current physical test which performed the entrance of physical education and sports teacher education and querying that do physical tests a good method to attain requested goals.
