Corona virus disease (COVID-19) has claimed more lives in recent times than any other known disease. It is a pandemic that the World is battling. Observation of precautionary measures remains one of the strongest means of curtailing the spread of the disease. These measures include social distancing, use of face mask and personal protective equipment, as well as proper sanitization with recommended disinfectant or sanitiser. This work, therefore, delves into the development of a disinfection chamber for spraying sanitiser liquid to the human body and large surfaces as well as parts infected with the virus via pump-nozzle. The chamber is 7ft tall and is made of wood and aluminium. The electronic part of the disinfection chamber comprises an infrared sensor for detecting the presence of humans in the chamber, PIC16F72 microcontroller which sends a signal to DC pump via the output relay for releasing the sanitiser for five seconds, and power supply unit which provides the required D.C supply to power the circuit. The performance test shows the disinfection chamber is functional and releases the sanitizing liquid for five seconds after which it cuts off to await the entrance of another person. The device is recommended for use in hospitals, campuses, offices, and so on.

The world is facing a new challenge to overcome the pandemic disease of Coronavirus (COVID-19). An outbreak of COVID-19 to more than 213 countries and territories caused damage to the economy of every country. The proper vaccine to combat this pandemic disease is not invented yet. Due to the lockdown situation, there is a shortage of daily used products globally. To overcome the issue of food shortage and economic survival, the world has to ease the lockdown rules and become operational with the precautionary measures. COVID-19 has a fast transmission rate, therefore, while living with COVID-19, breaking the fast transmission chain of COVID-19 is the only vital solution. Furthermore, there is a dire need to disinfect every individual and his luggage at the entrance of every shopping mall, hospital, public and private institutions, bus stops, metro stations, and railway stations. Hence, the proposed walk-through gate (WTG) with different sensors, i.e., infrared thermal camera, UV disinfectant sensor, disinfectant spraying system, touch-less hand sanitizer, and box having a face mask with a dustbin to discard the previous mask can provide an effective and efficient relief. The world cannot stop working and cannot survive for more than 3–6 months in a lockdown, hence the proposed idea is to install the disinfectant automated spraying WTG with a security walk-through gate at every possible entrance to conform living with the COVID-19 disease such as many other diseases. Breaking the transmission chain is the only solution to win the battle against COVID-19 until an effective vaccine invention.

Ebola virus disease is one of the deadliest infections in the world today. The microbe to blame is the Ebola virus. It has already caused numerous outbreaks in Africa, in the regions located south of the Sahara. This article describes the main characteristics of this infectious disease as well as the currently available treatments, namely vaccines and antibodies. Antibodies are produced by the human body when it is infected by a microbe. Antibodies can be collected from the blood of infected humans or animals and purified or manufactured in a laboratory to produce drugs. While vaccines have demonstrated their effectiveness in preventing infectious diseases, antibodies are effective in stopping the progression of several infectious diseases. In this article, you will discover that the stimulation of the immune system, either by the vaccine or by antibodies, is essential to tackle Ebola virus disease.

The current novel corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a highly infectious disease of the respiratory tract and rapidly spreading all over the world in short span of time. In current COVID-19 pandemic, use of the face mask is becoming usual and ubiquitous for both health care workers and public individuals. Wearing face mask is one of the non-pharmaceutical interventions which need minimum cost and provide dramatic response for preventing the COVID-19 infection. Limited availability of the vaccine and inadequate supply of therapeutic options, face mask use is an important part for public health measures for restricting the COVID-19 spread. Regardless of the debate among medical community regarding global face mask production shortage, a greater number of countries in the world are moving ahead with recommendations or mandates for using face mask in public. As currently global shortage of N95/FFP2 respirators and surgical masks for use by health care workers in the hospitals, simple cloth masks will act as a pragmatic solution for the use of the public. General public often use the surgical mask or even filtering facepiece (FFP) masks irrespective of their need, resulting unnecessary shortage for needy individuals those are exposed to the patients or those are health care workers. So, this review article will clarify the indication of the different types of masks and their rational use in the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Nowadays, maintaining a good hygiene is very important to prevent many diseases like Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19). It has been rapidly affected our day-today life by disrupting the world trade and movements. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommend to the world that all people must wear a mask to prevent COVID-19. The use of masks is part of a comprehensive package of prevention and control measures that can limit the spread of certain respiratory viral diseases. Wearing a protective mask has become a new normal and beneficial for human being to avoid certain diseases. In the near future, many public service providers will ask the customers to wear the masks to provide their services. Therefore, face mask detection has become an important task to help global society. This paper introduce a simplified approach for face mask detection by using Deep learning and python as the programming language. We are also using Open-CV, to search for faces within a picture and then identifies if it has a mask on it or not. By using this system, the surveillance camera system present at some public Space will automatically detect whether the persons are wearing a mask or not.

December 2019 saw the discovery of a new virus in Wuhan, China, namely Corona Virus Diseases (COVID-19). This is the latest epidemic to hit the world. Covid-19 belongs to the same coronavirus family as the cause of SARS and MERS, but the death rate for SARS and MERS is higher than Covid-19 and Covid-19 has a wider and faster spread. The way to protect yourself from exposure to Covid-19 is to reduce risks such as washing your hands in running water; looking for information related to COVID-19 from valid sources, knowing what to do if you are sick. PSBB is regulated by the Regulation of the Minister of Health (RI No. 9 of 2020 concerning Guidelines for Large-Scale Social Restrictions in the context of accelerating the handling of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) to prevent the possible spread of the virus. <p>Corona virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) is a global health pandemic that has affected life of every individual in the world. It is caused by a novel Corona virus strain that has caused seventh Corona virus infection that has affected human population, named as &ldquo;COVID-19&rdquo; virus by the World Health Organization. Previously, six Corona virus infections have affected humans but those caused by SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV have proved to be more lethal. Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) has been found as the receptor for COVID-19 through which cellular entry of the virus is mediated into the body. These receptors are abundantly present in the oral cavity especially on the epithelial cells of the tongue, oral mucosa and the gingiva. Saliva is an oral bio-fluid of the oral cavity in which high titres of the virus have been identified during early and later stages of infection. Saliva collection is a non-invasion method and can act as a diagnostic tool for COVID-19 disease. Common oral symptoms of the disease include transient loss of taste, smell and dryness of mouth. Precautionary measures must be taken by dentist before carrying out any dental procedure for safety of the health care professional, staff and also the patient. Dental community must think of the &ldquo;new normal&rdquo; regarding clinical dental care in light of post-COVID-19 situation.</p>

Corona virus disease 2019 has affected the world seriously. One major protection method for people is to wear masks in public areas. Furthermore, many public service providers require customers to use the service only if they wear masks correctly. On national level, temperature screening by employers is not mandatory. However, it is strongly recommended for businesses with more than 50 employees and businesses where maintaining social distance may not be realistic. Also government decided to reopen all religious places in this case temperature screening and mask plays crucial role hence we proposed system which automatically detects mask and screen temperature and allows only those who are wearing mask and has body temperature within range. Here we used infrared thermometer for thermal scanning and CNN algorithm for mask detection.

The world has suffered a critical shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the pandemic of COVID19 for medical staffs, the front liners. Like the whole world, Malaysia also imposed the stay-at-home and Movement Control Order (MCO) to break the chain of infections and flatten the curve of cases. The supply of PPE became a challenge during the lock down. There have been joined efforts from various parties stepping up, with different ways to help the production process of these key equipment but mostly focus on PPTs for male. Another challenge was face mask for Muslims leady health workers who wear hijab.  This paper is about how to overcome these challenges and designed a novel face mask clip for hijab, using 3D printing.  The clips were tested in a local hospital. The results show that the clips are very effective and easy to use.  Keywords: Covid-19; Personal protective equipment; Pandemic; Movement Control Order; 3D Face mask
