The paper gives a brief description of the main collections and expositions of flowering ornamental plants of the Donetsk Botanical Garden. The features of plant exhibition are considered. The collections of the flowering ornamental plants of the Donetsk Botanical Garden at present include 1022 species, 1152 cultivated forms and varieties. The plant range is demonstrated according to a trend of large-scale collection plots and display gardens formation. Large-scale monoculture collections show diversity of ornamental varieties of major flowering crops. The collections of «Dahlia», «Iris», «Chrysanthemum», «Callistephus chinensis», «Paeonia», «Aster dumosum», «Canna», «Hemerocallis», «Rosa» are mostly represented by cultivars and species of the corresponding generic complexes. Those cultivars are exhibited mainly in row plantings and combined according to various characteristics, namely plant height, structure and color of the flower or inflorescence. As the cultivars of Hemerocallis × hybrida hort., Paeonia lactiflora Pall., Iris × hybrida hort., Rosa × hybrida hort. are the hardiest in steppe conditions, they are the most widely represented in flower collections. When forming thematic landscape show gardens, we were taking into account biomorphological, environmental and phytocenotic characteristics of plants. These landscaping display flowerbeds show decorative qualities of a wide range of ornamental flowers, trees and bushes with continuous flowering aspect, as well as landscaping design approaches. Over the last five years, the expositions of «Shade Garden», «E.N. Kondratyuk Garden», «Mexico» have been created and have been developing. Other exhibition areas such as «Demonstration Show Garden» and «Ground-Cover Plants» undergo extensive reconstruction. The necessity of introducing new species, intraspecific varieties and modern cultivars into the living collections is still relevant. New varieties are intensively selected: 23 cultivars bred by the Garden-based originators are now present in the collections.

Representatives of the genus Inula are promising for introduction due to their wide range of uses. So, many species are ornamental plants, promising for introduction, including in urban landscaping. Several species are medicinal plants, and even though recently the chemical composition of certain species of this genus has been studied, it was evident that this work must be continued to maximize the study of the possibilities of this genus. The article discusses the experience of introducing representatives of the genus Inula in the Main Botanical Garden named after N.V. Tsitsin RAS in the aspect of general introduction work both in the gardens of the former USSR, Western Europe, and the USA. The fact states that only natural species found in the natural flora of the USSR prevailed in the botanical gardens of the countries of the former USSR. At the same time, East Asian and Iranian-Turanian species are representatively represents in foreign botanical gardens. For the Russian flora and neighboring countries (within the borders of the former USSR), 33 species have been recorded, of which 15 species have undergone an introduction study at the Russian Academy Science (RAS). For all species studied at the GBS RAS, the flowering time in the conditions of central Russia was analyzed, the possibilities of using it both for decorative and other purposes were indicated. According to literary sources, the analysis of the component composition of raw materials of 16 natural species found within this region was carried out.

The assortment of floral and ornamental plants is annually replenished with new varieties of perennial floral plants. The group of late summer and autumn flowering perennials is one of the most popular in landscaping. Korean chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum сoreanum) is one of the most promising crops for landscaping settlements in the Republic of Belarus, therefore, breeders of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus began to work with this group of small-flowered chrysanthemums. The article describes the results of breeding work, the purpose of which was to create local highly decorative varieties for our climatic zone. The method of free cross-pollination and subsequent selection from the obtained hybrid seedlings of the most promising forms were used in the work. The most significant features in the selection were the following: flowering time, winter hardiness, resistance to diseases and pests, as well as good vegetative reproduction. As a result, 4 domestic varieties of Korean chrysanthemum have successfully passed state variety testing and have been registered in the National List since 2020. Descriptions of these new varieties, their biometric parameters, decorative parameters and flowering times are provided.

The most important challenge in the field of introduction and acclimatization should be accumulation collection funds as the main base for research. The mobilization and testing of varietal diversity of flower and decorative crops in this regard are important significance in the development of the scientific foundations of decorative gardening and landscaping. Peony is one of the most beautiful and common flower crops. With a large palette of colors and a variety of flower shapes, peonies form a bush that, thanks to carved leaves, is decorative from early spring to late fall. The article presents the results of the research of comparative-literary analysis of scientific sources with the study of foreign experience of growing Ito-peonies for the purpose of using them in landscape design. The main objective of the research was to replenish the peony culture collection on the basis of the architectural and exposition plot of the Podillya Botanical Garden of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University with new Itoh Group varieties, their introductory cultivation and identification of the most promising decorative and valuable cultivars, cultivation, and cultivation in breeding work. The systematized and generalized data on the historical aspects of cultivation of Ito-peonies of foreign breeding are presented. The new interspecific ITO hybrids have the advantages of both parents: they took winter hardiness from grassy peonies (the aerial part dies in winter), and the shape and color of the flowers and leaves are inherited from tree-like ones. This achievement allowed us to expand the color gamut of winter-hardy peonies. During the experimental study, the use of the studied Paeonia L. species for the greening of cities, towns and private houses was found to improve the aesthetic perception of the designed objects. The original characteristics of the varieties and hybrids of Ito-peonies claimed by the originator showed the complete coincidence of varietal characteristics in all the parameters that determine their decorative affiliation. It is proved that under Podillya conditions the studied plants are characterized as valuable objects for increasing the range of flower and ornamental perennials in order to improve the condition of gardens and parks of Ukraine. According to the results of the varietal study of the American Peony Society, originality, high decorative and flowering duration in the Podillya area were established. It is proved that in addition to the high decorative properties of this group, there are also significant prospects for use in landscape design. Ito-peonies are of considerable importance in the landscaping of populated cities, including parks, squares, boulevards, waterfronts and private plots. The study group is classified as one of the most beautifully flowering perennial flower and decorative crops. A wide range of colors, a variety of flower shapes are created, creating a bush with ornamental foliage that does not lose its decorative effect from early spring to late autumn. Thus, the Itoh Group's research for the modern landscape gardening will allow to significantly expand the range of flower and ornamental plants in order to enrich the cultivated flora of the Podillya region and Ukraine as a whole. The results of the experiment will be used to replenish the collection of the Ito group on the basis of the architectural and exposition section of the Vinnytsia NAU for the practical activity of students of specialty 206 «Landscape gardening» and scientific and pedagogical staff.

Based on a long-term introduction study of the species native to the Russian Far East region, a representative collection was collected, including a wide range of ecological groups. On the basis of the conducted research, the peculiarities of the preservation of individual species in the collection fund (the ability to persist in culture for a long time, vegetative renewal, self-seeding) are revealed. It is noted that for a number of species, in addition to active vegetative overgrowth, mass self-seeding is also noted. Despite the prospects of such species in the introduction work, they can pose a potential threat to invasion. That is why only those species that are not characterized by regular and mass self-seeding are recommended for use in urban landscaping.

The article presents the features of bioaesthetic characteristics of decorative elements of phytodesign of the closed environment. The analysis of groups of plants by functional and aesthetic purpose in the room is carried out and on their basis project offers on improvement of features of an interior of the House of the Government of Ukraine were developed. When decorating the premises with the help of ornamental plants, the specifics of the interior design of the building and the carefully selected range of plants were taken into account, taking into account the optimal options for their placement. Aesthetic design of free space in the premises is created in order to achieve maximum comfort and coziness and the phytodesign of the closed environment copes with it best. It actively influences the nature of comfort and perception of the interior and is an important component in the design of the environment, and with its help you can increase the artistic expressiveness of the interior, improve its functional organization and, importantly, improve sanitation. The interior design of modern public office buildings is characterized by the predominance of ideas of rationalism and functionality over the aesthetic appearance of the premises. The Government House of Ukraine is the administrative building of our capital, so phytodecoration of its interiors requires careful selection of the range of plants of future phytocompositions. Today, the use of plants in the formation of interiors of various premises is due to the need of man to be closer to nature due to large-scale urbanization of cities and local man-made pollution. To successfully solve these problems requires a comprehensive approach to the wide range of uses and applications of beneficial properties of plants: volatile therapy, color therapy, aesthetic therapy, aromatherapy, ionization and many other functions. Keywords: closed space, public buildings, phytocomposition, phytodesign, phytoergonomics, project proposals.

The ornamental flower sector has growing over the past years worldwide with potential for further expansion. Among the ornamental plants, Passiflora species have been gaining ground in the market, mainly in European and North American countries. However, the market aiming the use of these species in ornamentation is still poorly explored. The inclusion of passion flower in the list of ornamental plants is related to the peculiar characteristics of the flower as it is complex structure, capacity of flowering all year long and also by the abundance and exuberance of the leaves, which in many species adds an ornamental value. Among the biotechnological tools for the production of ornamental plants, tissue culture has been outstanding in the cloning of elite genotypes, with high phytosanitary quality and large scale production. In addition, it offers possibilities of producing new varieties with characteristics peculiar to the market of ornamental plants. The diversity of wild Passiflora opens perspectives to the conservation, market and production of ornamental Passiflora cultivars.

Titanium nitride (TiN) films have historically been used as diffusion barrier between silicon and aluminum, as an adhesion layer for tungsten deposition and as an interconnect material etc. Recently, the role of TiN films as contact barriers in very large scale silicon integrated circuits (VLSI) has been extensively studied. TiN films have resistivities on the order of 20μ Ω-cm which is much lower than that of titanium (nearly 66μ Ω-cm). Deposited TiN films show resistivities which vary from 20 to 100μ Ω-cm depending upon the type of deposition and process conditions. TiNx is known to have a NaCl type crystal structure for a wide range of compositions. Change in color from metallic luster to gold reflects the stabilization of the TiNx (FCC) phase over the close packed Ti(N) hexagonal phase. It was found that TiN (1:1) ideal composition with the FCC (NaCl-type) structure gives the best electrical property.

Roses are the most important commercial ornamental plants grown for flowers, perfumery and nutraceutical compounds. Commercially cultivated roses (Rosa × hybrida L.) are complex interspecific hybrids probably derived from 8-10 wild species among the large diversity of 130-200 species in genus Rosa. Wild germplasm is a primary source of variability and plays a major role in improving existing varieties by broadening their genetic base. In the present investigation, we have utilized the previously identified SSR primers for studying the diversity among 148 selected rose genotypes, including wild species and cultivated varieties of Indian and exotic origin. A total of 88 alleles was scored using 30 polymorphic loci; they produced average 2.9±1 alleles per locus. Polymorphism information content (PIC) values for different SSR loci ranged from 0.08 to 0.8 with a mean value of 0.5±0.2. The neighbor-joining tree generated based on Nei’s (1978) genetic distance values grouped the population into three major clusters. Cluster-I and II consists of all modern rose cultivars (Rosa × hybrida L.) originated from India and cluster-III consists of all exotic cultivars, wild species and a few cultivars from India. STRUCTURE analysis based on microsatellite allelic data, partitioned the total rose genotypes into four different sub-populations with some individual genotypes having genomic admixture. Population subdivision estimates, FST between different subpopulations ranged from 0.01-0.15 indicates low to moderate level of divergence existing among the rose cultivars and germplasm. Population differentiation in rose cultivars and wild species corresponds to their geographical origin and lineages. Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) results revealed that 83.12 % of the variance was accounted for by within sub-groups followed by significant levels of variation among the populations (10.42%) and least variance (6.46%) was noticed among individuals within groups.
