Water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) is a type of aquatic plant that has a fast growth rate so it is referred to as a weed that disturbs water areas. Water hyacinth can be used as a liquid fertilizer that is useful against the needs of plant nutrients. Rotten fruits used by papaya, guava and banana are a mixture of making liquid organic fertilizer. This study was used to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer by combining water hyacinth plants and rotten fruit on ground kale plants (Ipomea reptans oil). The parameters measured were plant height and weight of ground water spinach plants on the day 7,14,21 and 28 days after planting, using 4 treatments with different concentrations namely P0 (without POC), P1 (100ml POC), P2 (200ml POC ), and P3 (300ml POC). The results of the analysis showed that it was significant (p <0.005) so that the manufacture of POC from water hyacinth waste and rotten fruit could increase growth in land kale plants (Ipomea reptans oil).

Batur Lake is one of the natural lakes in the province of Bali where the activity of fishing, agriculture, tourism and housing available. This study aims to determine the effect of nitrate relation to the natural growth of the water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes). Increased water hyacinth biomass in Songan station is the highest among the three other stations (Batur, Buahan, and Trunyan). At the end of the study (day 42 ), water hyacinth biomass of Songan station increased by 338.2 % from the initial weight, while at another station the increase weight  ranges from 75 % -158 %. The highest daily growth rate in Trunyan station 3.68% / day, and the lowest in station Buahan which only reached 0.88% / day. At the Songan station where are many floating net which contribute to increase nitrate. There is a tendency of growth of water hyacinth faster at higher nitrate conditions. Nitrate conditions ranged from 0,35 to 0,62 m /l which shows that the waters of Batur Lake classified into waters that have a high fertility rate (eutrophic).

Water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) is floating aquatic plant that reproduces very fast so it is assumed to damage aquatic environment. Other negative assumptions about the plant are that it can cause the flood. Fortunately, there is now a partner, PKBM (Center of Adult Education Activities) Alkaromah in Cililin, Bandung who has already utilized the plants to be bag craft. However, there are several obstacles faced by the partner. The problems are the lack of practical management of bags manufacture made from water hyacinth; started the process of revocation, drying, selection, splitting and weaving. The impractical management also leads to the results of work that are too time-consuming so it is late in answering market demands. Based on the situation, we as the Executive Team of IbM has assisted the Partner to make pressing machine to facilitate the utilization of water hyacinth to be bag craft. The IbM implementation aims to improve the quality of business management and expedite the process of drying and weaving water hyacinth by saving much time. Consequently, the pressing machine has produced significant impacts; the process of drying and weaving hyacinth no longer takes a long time and the results show the quality improvement. To increase the maximum benefit, the Executive Team and Partner also discuss the market share of products. Other efforts are also discussed to make the patent rights to obtain legal protection from the government. This is the preventive step to avoid others from conducting work recognition.
