Health problems that often occur in elementary school age children are diseases related to personal hygiene / personal hygiene and the environment such as good and correct brushing, hand washing habits with soap, and personal hygiene. Diseases that often arise are diarrhea, helminthiasis, toothache and so on. The problem with partners faced today is that there are still many elementary school students who do not understand the importance of personal hygiene. The purpose of Community Service provides an understanding of the importance of personal hygiene in elementary school students. Community service activities have been carried out in May-June 2017 to fifth grade students of SDN 206 with a total of 86 students. The service method uses survey, lecture, discussion and simulation approaches. The results obtained are all students of class V understand about Personal Hygiena and want to apply in everyday life. It is recommended to the school especially UKS officers and class teachers to always provide motivation, monitor elementary school students in increasing knowledge and implementing personal hygiene so that students can avoid disease

This study aims to improve the results of learning mathematics of elementary school students SDIT Deli Insani of class V on the subject matter of fractions by using number playing card media. The from of this study is classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, using number playing cards at SDIT Deli Insani in class V Tanjung Morawa. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SDIT Deli Insani, amounting to 30 students. This action was carried out in April 2018. Methods of collecting data using observation and documentation. The data analysis used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study showed an increase in students' ability to understand concepts from the first cycle and second cycle. Percentage of increase in pre-action results, cycle I and cycle II students' concept comprehension ability that is 13.04% for indicators identifying number forms using number game cards (dominoes) and indicators solving problems in fractional form operations using dominoes 27.26%. the success indicator in cycle II reaches 80%. Thus the application of number game cards can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts at SDIT Deli Insani in Class V.

Multicultural approach in Indonesian language has become an absolute necessity over the last years. This research highlights the role of multicultural culture as a means to improve writing achievement of Indonesian Language among elementary school students. This study aims at determining the effectiveness of the multicultural approach in the writing achievement of Indonesian language among fifth grade students of islamic elementary school who are grouped based on their learning motivation. This study can be catagorized as an experimental study with 2x2 factorial design. The independent variable consists of two categories, multicultural and conventional approaches. The population was  60 fifth grade students of at two private islamic schools. The data was collected using learning achievement tests and learning motivation questionnaires, and analyzed using two-way ANOVA and sheffe test. The results showed that (1) there were a gap in learning achievement between students in the experimental group and control group students; (2) there were differences in learning achievement between students with high motivation between both groups; (3) there were differences in learning achievement between low motivated students between both groups; (4) the multicultural approaches proved to be more effective than the conventional one; and (5) there was no interaction between the approaches and the learning motivation.

The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Cooperative learning model in order to increase the learning interest of the fifth grade students of Tangkisan State Elementary School.. The results of this study indicate that: (1) In general, the application of the appropriate TAI learning model is effective in improving mathematics learning achievement, (2) Increased mathematics learning achievement of fifth grade elementary school students at Tangkisan at 61.07 in the first cycle of 75, 31 in the second cycle of 84.69

This research develops e-module teaching materials by using a digitalized book application based on ethno constructivism and also discerns students' responses to the e-modules. We employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) to create the books. The ADDIE model consists of five steps, namely (1) introduction, (2) planning, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The subjects of this study were 21 fifth-grade students of elementary schools 112/I. The re-sults of this study captured that the product was favored by most of the students with percentages of interest (72.73%), motivation (77.27%), and perception (63.6%).

This research aims to determine the positive and significant correlation between mathematics self-efficacy and motivation of elementary school students, using the correlation method. This type of research is quantitative. The population of this research was all fifth grade students of Elementary School in Cluster I of Marpoyan Damai District in Pekanbaru, which totaled 705 students. The research sample consisted of 183 students who were selected using cluster techniques. Data collection was carried out using a mathematics self-efficacy questionnaire and a motivation questionnaire and documentation. To test the hypothesis using the product moment correlation test and t test. The results showed that: (1) There was a positive correlation between mathematics self-efficacy and motivation of fifth grade elementary school students in cluster I Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru District, indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.353 with a fairly strong relationship category, 2) There was a significant correlation between mathematics self-efficacy and motivation of fifth grade elementary school students in cluster I Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru, as seen from the tcount = 5.078, greater than ttable = 1.653, at a significance of 5%. The contribution made mathematics self-efficacy to motivation is equal to 12.5%.

The purpose of the present study was to compare normally achieving and low-achieving (LA) elementary school-age children on a wide range of linguistic tasks. Over half of the LA group earned scores on the language measures that were low enough to suggest consideration for evaluation and/or treatment. Implications for referral and treatment of the LA population are discussed.

ABSTRAK Pelaksanaan pembangunan dalam bidang kesehatan dengan memberikan prioritas pada upaya peningkatan kesehatan, pencegahan penyakit dengan tidak mengabaikan upaya penyembuhan dan pemulihan kesehatan, termasuk kepada anak usia Sekolah Dasar demi tercapainya derajat kesehatan yang optimal. Adapaun usaha untuk menunjang upaya kesehatan yang optimal maka dilakukan upaya di bidang kesehatan yaitu kebiasaan mencuci tangan sebelum dan sesudah makan perlu mendapat perhatian. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Blora dengan sasaran yaitu perwakilan siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Blora, dan bersedia mengikuti kegiatan secara penuh. Sasaran yang diikutsertakan sejumlah 40 perwakilan dari siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar yang ada di Kabupaten Blora, yaitu SDN 1 Karangjati, SDN 2 Karangjati, SDN 4 Karangjati, dan SDN Kedung Jenar. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak Sekolah Dasar dalam hal personal hygiene khususnya cuci tangan dengan langkah yang benar dan bisa menjadikan kebiasaan perilaku hidup sehari-hari sehingga dapat menurunkan angka morbiditas dan menyiapkan para generasi penerus bangsa yang sehat serta berkualitas. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan mempraktikkan langsung. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar tentang cuci tangan dengan langkah yang benar dan menggunakan sabun serta air mengalir. Kata kunci: Personal hygiene, cuci tangan, pengetahuan, keterampilan ABSTRACT Implementation of development in the health sector by giving priority to efforts to improve health, prevention of disease by not ignoring efforts to heal and restore health, including elementary school age children in order to achieve optimal health. As for efforts to support optimal health efforts, efforts are made in the health sector, namely the habit of washing hands before and after eating, need attention. Community service is carried out in Blora Regency with the target of representing representatives of grade 1 students of elementary schools in the District of Blora, and willing to participate in full activities. The targets included 40 representatives from grade 1 students in Blora District, namely SDN 1 Karangjati, SDN 2 Karangjati, SDN 4 Karangjati, and SDN Kedung Jenar. The purpose of this community service is to improve the knowledge and skills of elementary school children in terms of personal hygiene, especially washing their hands with the right steps and can make the habits of daily living behavior so as to reduce morbidity and prepare the next generation of healthy and quality nation. The method of community service activities used is the method of lectures, demonstrations and direct practice. The result of this activity was an increase in knowledge and skills in grade 1 elementary school students about washing hands with the right steps and using soap and running water.  Keywords: Personal hygiene, hand washing, knowledge, skills

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on ethno mathematics. A Research and Development (R&D) method as used in this research. Meanwhile, the research design of teaching materials developed using ADDIE included five stages, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of this ethno mathematical-based teaching material refers to the results of the assessments of three experts, namely education expert, ethno mathematics expert, and mathematicians, as well as students’ responses. The students' responses used as a trial were made by fifth-grade students of SDN Negara Bumi, Central Sungkai Subdistrict. The results of this study indicate that the teaching materials developed based on ethno mathematics have met the standards of feasibility aspects which include validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials.

This study aimed to describe the quality of the paragraph and its development pattern in the essay writing of elementary school (Sekolah Dasar – SD) students in Jambi City (Kota Jambi – KJ) (SD-KJ). This study utilized a "quantitative descriptive" design. The population was all essays written by the fifth-grade students of SD-KJ. The sample of this research was 35 paragraphs from the essay writing of the fifth-grade students of SD-KJ. The data analysis steps were searching for frequency distribution of paragraph quality and development pattern; grouping the paragraph frequency distribution according to their quality; counting the percentage of each paragraph quality and type of development pattern; and presenting the results. Regarding to paragraph quality, the results are: (1) paragraph completeness, good (5.71%), poor (68.57%), and bad (25.70%); (2) paragraph unity, good (34.58%); poor (51.42%); and bad (14.28%); (3) paragraph order, good (28.57%); poor (51.42%); and bad (20%); and (4) paragraph coherence, good (54.28%); poor (34.28%); and bad (11.42%). Reffering to the implementation of the paragraph development pattern, the results are paragraph development pattern of comparison and contradiction: 20%, analogy: 5.71%, giving examples: 8.57%, cause and effect: 48.57%; general-specific or specific-general: 11.42%, and classification: 5.71%.

This research discusses the influence of teaching methods and ability of self- confidence of the science process skills. This research was conducted at the State Elementary School fifth grade of City of Serang. The study design using analysis of variance 2 lanes (ANOVA). The results of this study were (1) the difference in science process skills of elementary school students who learn using Discovery methods between students who learn using Inquiry methods (2) The interaction between  the  learning  methods  and  self-confidence  of  students  to  the  science process skills Elementary School Students. (3) The science process skills between student elementary school students who learn by using Discovery methods which has self-confidence high is higher result than the students who learned by using Inquiry methods who has self-confidence high  (4) The science process skills of elementary school students between students who learn to use Discovery methods that have self-confidence low is lower result than the students learn to use the Inquiry methods that has self-confidence low
