The research aims to improve the knowledge, skills and motivation of entrepreneurship education for students and teachers in vocational schools (SMK) the city of Surakarta. The study consisted of three variables: (1) the intensity of the service model of entrepreneurship education; (2) entrepreneurial skills for students in Vocational High School .; (3) the effectiveness of services in entrepreneurship education through character education for students in Vocational High School. The research method is a survey, observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and action (action research), giving the task to the subject of research and evaluation. The research location in the city of Surakarta. Given the technical constraints; limited funding and time of the study; as a test model specified the two schools; namely SMK SMK Bopkri 1 and 2. The research was conducted 6 months, beginning the month from April to October 2015. The quantitative data analysis using quantitative descriptive approach, while qualitative data using an interactive approach. Results: (1) obtained from the data base of potential Vocational High School. in the area of research related to the awareness and motivation of students in entrepreneurship; (2) obtained baseline prevalence of students who are interested in entrepreneurship education; (3) known to need assessment of the students who will participate in entrepreneurship education in schools; (4) can be prepared modules in entrepreneurship education material in Vocational High School; (5) can be arranged group accompanying teachers implementing entrepreneurship education in schools; (6) can be trained a number of 40 teachers accompanying the implementation of entrepreneurial skills education of students in the school; (7) can be produced prototype or tool entrepreneurship; (8) can be educated a number of 140 students in the field of entrepreneurial skills; (9) can be formed Productive Business Group (CTP) for students in the Vocational High School; (10) can be written journals of national terakriditasi; (11) can be written books on entrepreneurship education based character building for students at vocational schools. This research is motivated by the low entrepreneurial intentions of Vocational High School (SMK) students in the city of Bandung. This study aims to determine and analyze the mediating effects of self-efficacy and motivation on the effect of entrepreneurship education on students' entrepreneurial intention. The method used in this study is an explanatory survey research with data collection techniques through questionnaires and observation. The population of this study was all students of class XI class 2018/2019 as many as 7,913 students, while based on Slovin calculations the sample of this study was 400 students. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and multiple linear regression with Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that: 1) the level of self-efficacy, motivation, entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention of students was in the very high category. 2) entrepreneurship education influences students' entrepreneurial intention. 3) self-efficacy and motivation mediate the effect of entrepreneurship education on students' entrepreneurial intention. These findings indicate that to increase entrepreneurial intention, the learning process in high school needs to be emphasized in efforts to increase self-efficacy and motivation. This study aims to delve deeper into how the role of art in traditional culture can be used as character building for the next generation of the nation. The art school which is specialized in Vocational High Schools (SMK), offers expertise programs to junior high school graduates who are interested in exploring and learning traditional arts and culture. The presence of art-based formal schools, of course, can have a positive impact on the younger generation to maintain and preserve the art of traditional culture as forming a moral character, as well as the emergence of a sense of love for their own culture. Usually Vocational Schools are very identical with technical schools, machinery, and other fields of technology, but art Vocational Schools in West Sumatra, especially the city of Padang, offer different skills than vocational education in general, namely traditional arts. This is evidenced by the presence of Vocational High School 4, Vocational High School 8 and Padang Vocational High School 7, which are art vocational schools in West Sumatra, especially in Padang which make traditional arts and crafts of Minangkabau culture a skill program developed by their students. This school is maintained and is the pride of the people of Padang City.

The formation of character is needed by adolescents in this era. It is based with the many phenomena of juvenile delinquency. Characters will not be formed away so it needs an effort should be made of teachers in shaping the character of teenagers. In addition, the authors found the variation of the efforts of teachers holistically so that teenagers will easily formed his character in accordance with the purpose of the character education. The problem of this research is how the character education model Vocational High School who applied in the implementation of the formation of character in SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga. The purpose of this study is the author would like to know a clear picture of the implementation of character education model in efforts to form children's character in School SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga. This paper discusses the character education model be applicable in the planting of character values ​​to students in Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga. This type of research is a field research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection methods used include interviews, observation and documentation. As for analyzing the data obtained, the authors do by collecting all the data, reducing the data, presenting data, and verification of data. Results from this study showed that the model of character education is done to instill character values ​​to learners School SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga using reflective models. Use of the character models adhering to the principles of character education and values ​​are developed in accordance with the level of development of learners.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peran DUDI dalam mendorong produk kebijakan pendidikan Pemda Kota Mataram dalam mengembangkan SMK berbasis kearifan lokal; (2) implementasi penyelenggaraan kebijakan pendidikan SMK yang sesuai dengan kearifan lokal; dan (3) peran DUDI dalam pengembangan SMK. Informan kunci pada penelitian adalah Kepala Dinas Dikmen sub-bagian kepala seksi kurikulum, Kepala Sekolah, Wakasek Humas Industri, Pembimbing Industri, dan Siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) peran DUDI dalam mendorong kebijakan Pemda terkait pengembangan SMK berbasis kearifan lokal belum memadai; (2) implementasi kebijakan Pemda, antara lain: (a) monitoring dan evaluasi, (b) menyediakan unit gedung baru, (c) membuka kompetensi keahlian baru, (d) pemberian dana, (e) mengadakan Gebyar SMK se-Kota Mataram; dan (3) peran DUDI dalam pengembangan SMK antara lain: (a) penyelenggaraan prakerin siswa berjalan dengan baik. b) industri sebagai tempat pemagangan guru, c) industri terlibat dalam uji kompetensi siswa tingkat akhir dan tempat menyalurkan lulusan, d) belum ada kerja sama terkait penyediaan sarana dan prasarana, dan e) pengembangan kurikulum dalam bentuk workshop kurikulum. Kata kunci: peran DUDI, penyelenggaraan SMK, kearifan lokal THE ROLE OF BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL (VHS) BASED ON LOCAL WISDOM IN THE CITY OF MATARAM Abstract This research aims to know: (1) the role of business and industry in encouraging the product education policy of the local government in Mataram City for developing vocaational high school (VHS) based on local wisdom; (2) the implementation of VHS education policy with an appropriate local wisdom; and (3) the role of business and industry in developing VHS. The key informants in this research were the Head of Secondary Education Curriculum Sub-section, Principal, Vice Principal of Industry Public Relations, Industry Counsellors, and students. The data were collected by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique included data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) the role of business and industry in encouraging the regional government policy related to VHS development based on local wisdom had not been adequate; (2) the implementation of regional government policy were among others: (a) monitoring and evaluation, (b) providing a new building unit, (c) opening new expertise competencies, (d) providing funds, (e) conducting Gebyar SMK in the city of Mataram; and (3) the roles of business and industry in the development of VHS were among others: (a) the implementation of the students’ industrial practice ran well, (b) the industry as the place for teachers’ apprenticeship, (c) the industry was involved in students’ competency test at the end of the students’ study and as an institute which would recruit the graduates, d) there had not been any cooperation related to the provision of facilities and infrastructure, and e) curriculum development in the form of a curriculum workshop. This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of family environment, peers, and learning achievement on the interest in continuing education to higher education in the XI class of accounting skills competencies in Padang City Vocational School simultaneously and partially. There are two Vocational Schools namely Padang State Vocational High School 2 and Padang State Vocational High School 3. This means that the population in this study was all students of class XI Accounting of Vocational Schools 2 Padang, amounting to 121 people and Vocational Schools 3 Padang totaling 83 people. From a total of 204 populations, the sampling method used was proportional random sampling technique with a total sample of 127 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. For data analysis methods used are descriptive and associative analysis and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that there were influences on the family environment, peers, and learning achievement towards the interest in continuing to higher education simultaneously at 24.8%. Partially the family environment influences the interest in continuing to higher education. Whereas peers do not influence the interest in continuing their education to college. Likewise, for learning achievement does not affect the interest in continuing to higher education.Keyword: family environment, peers, learning achievement

The purpose of this study is to produce character building learning media based on m-learning mathematics with a contextual approach that is expected to provide convenience for students and teachers in supporting the revitalization of vocational education. This research is a development research. This research method refers to the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Development of Math-Cha applications with the help of Android Studio IDE software, and Fire Base. The result of the development in the form of a learning media product is the Math-Cha application which is installed on an Android device. The Math-Cha application consists of material and evaluation. The m-learning media on mathematics is given reinforcement by integrating character education and contextual presentation so that it supports the revitalization of vocational education. Content in the application begins by introducing character values into mathematical problems at the apperception, material and evaluation stages. Evaluation of validity aspects is based on the validation of media experts and material experts who are valid criteria with an average of 3.61. The evaluation of practicality aspects based on student response questionnaire was in the good criteria of 3.72 and the teacher's questionnaire in the criteria of good was 3.40. The assessment of effectiveness aspects based on student test results is in good criteria with an average of 86.6. Math-Cha supports learning, use easily, and it can be used anywhere and anytime. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran matematika m-learning berbasis pendidikan karakter dengan pendekatan kontekstual yang diharapkan memberikan kemudahan siswa dan guru dalam menunjang revitalisasi pendidikan SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Metode penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Pengembangan aplikasi Math-Cha dengan bantuan software Android Studio IDE, dan Fire Base. Hasil dari pengembangan berupa produk media pembelajaran yaitu aplikasi Math-Cha yang terinstall di perangkat Android. Aplikasi Math-Cha terdiri dari materi dan evaluasi. Media pembelajaran m-learning pada matematika diberikan penguatan dengan mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter dan disajikan secara kontekstual sehingga mendukung revitalisasi pendidikan vokasi.  Konten dalam aplikasi dimulai dengan mengenalkan nilai-nilai karakter kedalam permasalahan matematika pada tahap apersepsi, materi  dan evaluasi. Penilaian aspek kevalidan berdasarkan penilaian validator ahli media dan ahli materi yang berada pada kriteria valid dengan rata-rata 3,61. Penilaian aspek kepraktisan berdasarkan angket respon siswa berada pada kriteria baik sebesar 3,72 dan angket respon guru yang berada dalam kriteria baik sebesar 3,40. Penilaian aspek keefektifan berdasarkan hasil tes siswa berada pada kriteria baik dengan rata-rata 86,6. Math-Cha mendukung dalam pembelajaran, tingkat penggunaannya relatif mudah, pembelajaran dapat digunakan dimana saja dan kapanpun.

This research aims to find out the deeper on the character education in SMKN (vocational school) Pleret Bantul Jogjakarta which covers: (1) some patterns of religious values education in Vocational High School of Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta students, namely: (a) do praying before and after the activities (studying); (b) To do Dhuhur and Asar prayers in the mosque ;  (c) Dhuha prayer; (d) To read Al-Qur`an every morning in Ramadhan before learning teaching process; (e) Sunnah fasting of Monday-Thursday, f. hadroh music; (2)  the internalization of emotional quotient; and (3) It is the positive effect of character education toward students of SMKN Pleret Bantul. The research was  a  descriptive qualitative approach. Technique of data collection by interview, observation of participant and documentation. The data analysis was by reduction, display and provided conclusions. The result of this study shows : (1) the transformation of Spiritual Quotient values : Various patterns of character values education are beneficial to the values of the students' faith of the character values. Students had religiosity is a way of religious individuals who incorporate religious values into their personalities; (2) the emotional quotient values which is described in the character values of students, namely: students have empathy attitude to help another, have good self-awareness, have moods and emotions, and have the high motivation  and have ability to build good communication with another; (3)there are the positive effect of Spiritual Quotient (SQ) values and emotional quotient (EQ) in students’ character and have good academic achievement.

High school in Indonesia has two types, specifically senior high schools and vocational schools (SMK). Vocational high schools in Indonesia have a lot of education focus which aims to provide education to their students so they can work immediately. One of the vocational schools in Indonesia is the Tangerang 4 Vocational High School which focuses on education in engineering. One of the engineering scopes at SMK Negeri 4 Tangerang is "Drawing Technique for Building" (Teknik Gambar Bangunan). "Drawing Technique for Building" is a vocational class that specializes in learning how to draw techniques for houses and buildings. As vocational students of "Building Drawing Technique", each student must learn how to draw techniques according to ISO standards complete with various etiquettes in manually, after proficient in drawing manually, students must learn AutoCAD, an software for drawing because this becomes the main competency as students "Building Drawing Techniques". To increase the capacity and capabilities of its students at SMK 4 Tangerang, the Budi Luhur University Architecture Study Program introduces one of the software related to building drawing The software introduced in Revit Architecture version 2013. Revit Architecture 2013 is a software that aims to create building construction designs for architects and supports the concept of BIM (Building Information Modeling). The output of this socialization is that students of SMK Negeri 4 Tangerang understanding about software for drawing techniques other than AutoCAD and various conveniences when drawing with Revit Architecture 2013 software

School culture becomes one of the determinants formed of students work culture. The lack of attention of school culture has an adverse effect on the character building of students to the low productivity and effectiveness of the school.  The aim  of the research was to obtain data and information about school culture development in vocational high school. The research employed qualitative research. This research was done in Vocational High School (SMK) Negeri 9 Padang which is one of the favorite vocational high school with all accredited skills program A. Subjects in this research were principal, head majors, teachers, employees, and pupils. Data in this research was collected by using observation, interview, and documentation study. Data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study describe the culture of SMK Negeri 9 Padang seen from: (1) behavior; (2) norms; (3) dominant values; (4) philosophy; (5) rules; (6) school climate. The culture has been developing are hospitality culture and work above standard.
