The study was conducted at the Eastern Samar State University Main Campus during the second semester of the school year 2018 to 2019. It aimed to determine the self-image of the respondents in terms of their positive self-image and negative self-image . It also intended to describe their student teaching performance in terms of their average grade in Student Teaching in the Elem/Sec Schools subject; and to determine whether there is significant relationship between these variables.. Likert-type questionnaire was used to gather data as well as secondary data and employed both Descriptive and Inferential statistics for the analysis of the gathered data.. The findings of the study revealed that the respondents’ perception of their level of positive self-image result to an aggregate mode of 13 which is interpreted as ‘high level’ while their level of negative self-image resulted to an aggregate mode of 14 which is interpreted as ‘ low level’ It also reflected that 95.6% or majority of the senior students were excellent in their teaching performance. Further results reflected that there was no significant relationship between the respondents’ level of positive and negative self-image and their student teaching performance . Hence the null hypothesis was accepted. The results of the study implied that the respondents’ total level of positive subjective perception of themselves, including the image of their body and impression of their own personality and capabilities are high and that they have developed the necessary skills for teaching as reflected in their student teaching performance. These findings also imply that although the respondents’ level of positive self-image is high, it does not influence their student teaching performance and outlook and preparedness towards the teaching profession. It also reflected that 95.6% or majority of the senior students were excellent in their teaching performance. Further results reflected that there was no significant relationship between employment readiness in terms of personality skills and instructional skills components of the respondents and their student teaching performance but a significant relationship between employment readiness of the respondents in terms of management skills and their student teaching performance. The results of the study implied that COED senior students are ready for employment and that they have developed the necessary skills for teaching and can excellently practice the techniques , skills, and positive attitudes in teaching in preparation for the real world of teaching profession as reflected in their student teaching performance. These findings also implies that student teachers’ skills in managing classroom activities, efficient planning and organizing can highly influence their outlook and preparedness towards the teaching profession .Hence, student teaching curriculum must be enhanced towards improving the management skills of students.

Teaching is a multifaceted task. Teachers are inevitably exposed to superfluous teaching workloads and predicaments causing them stress. This research aimed to determine the relationship between workload stress and results based performance of multigrade teachers. It employed correlation research design involving thirty (30) purposively selected multigrade teachers in the Schools Division of General Santos City (GSC) during the school year 2015-2016. Following the survey method, a tailored questionnaire was used to gather the needed information. Secondary data were also collected. The statistical tools employed in the analysis were frequency distribution, percentage rate, weighted mean and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The results revealed that the multigrade teachers experience moderate level of workload stress and high level of results based performance. It was further found out that there is no significant relationship between workload stress and results based performance, providing evidence that stress may not necessarily influence performance. This result offers unique implications in theory, practice, and research which are discussed in the study.

<em>The State University of Papua (UNIPA) provides human resources for agricultural sector in Tanah Papua through the Department of Agricultural and Agricultural Technology (FAPERTEK). However, in the process of generating these human capitals, many of its alumni could not finish their study within the targeted time frame designed by curriculum used in this department. Thus, this research aims for understanding factors that influencing the study time of FAPERTEK-UNIPAs alumni. Study time data was obtained through a census from secondary data whereas evaluation of the study time was conducted through a survey to alumni. The evaluation was focus on two sub-systems: student and the interaction between students and faculties. The result shows that in general alumni at the bachelor (S-1) level and at the diploma (D-3) level finished their study more than 10 semesters and 7 semesters consecutively. Financial problem, difficult and lengthy research topic, communication problem with advisor, many re-taking classes, health problem as well as personal problems were among the reasons for those alumni whose study time exceeds the minimum time as indicated by the curriculum. Academic advisors who are expected to assist students to be able to finish their study within the allotted time have not performed efficiently according to some of respondents. Purpose – The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of boards’ demographic diversity on firms’ strategic change and the interaction effect of firm performance. Design/methodology/approach – This paper used secondary data derived from publicly listed firms in Kenya during 2002-2010 and analyzed the data using fixed effects regression model to test the effect of board demographic and strategic change, while moderated regression analysis was used to test the moderating effect of firm performance. Findings – The results partially supported board demographic diversity–strategic change hypothesis. In particular, results indicate that age diversity produces less strategic change, while functional diversity is associated with greater levels of strategic change. The moderated regression results do not support our general logic that high firm performance enhances board demographic diversity–strategic change relationship. In effect, the results reveal that at high level of firm performance, board demographic diversity produces less strategic change. Originality/value – Despite few studies that have examined board demographic diversity and firm performance, this paper introduces strategic change as an outcome variable. This paper also explores the moderating role of firm performance in board demographic diversity–strategic change relationship, and finally, the study uses Kenyan dataset which in itself is unique because most governance and strategy research uses data from developed countries.

The amount of ink spilled in consideration of the life, thought, accomplishments, and legacy of Christopher Columbus Langdell is eloquent testimony to the critical role he plays in the self-image of the American law teaching profession. It is both wonderful and astounding, therefore, to find that critical primary sources remained unread and unused at the very end of the twentieth century. Now that Bruce Kimball has brought them to light, we have a more complete view of the man and his thought, one that, not surprisingly, reveals to us someone quite different from the cruelly and crudely caricatured inventor of those twin devices for stifling young minds, the case and Socratic methods.
