The present study dealt with An Analysis of Grammatical Errors bythe eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Utara in academic year 2016/ 2017. The researcher interested in analyzing kinds of errors because the errors were made by students should be corrected so not to become fossilized. The total amount of population which consisted of 12 classes were 384 students all together. The amount of population was determined by using quota random sampling technique. The number of representative students which used as subjet under study was 40 students. The present study which made use of an ex-post facto research design was intended to answer the following research questions: what kind of grammatical errors which is made by the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Utara in academic year 2016/ 2017 in constructing direct and indirect speech. The data required for the study were collected by using grammatical transformation tasks. In the grammatical transformation tasks, the students were asked to change direct speech to indirect speech or vice versa by the correct grammatical forms in the sentences. The result revealed that there were 303 errors made by the students. From the total number of students’ errors, the researcher found that there were four types of errors. There were 43(14,19%)of omission error, there were 29(9,57%)of addition errors, there were 58(19,14%)of malformation errors, and there were 173(57,09%)of disordering errors. The finding of present study was many students who weredifficultto answerdirect and indirect speech. They lacked of knowledge and inability in mastering English grammar so many mistakes were made by them.

<em>The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe acedemic year of 2018/2019 Landak Regency. This type of research was quantitative with ex post facto approach. The population of all eighth grade students at SMP N 1 Kuala Behe. The number of sample in this study was 64 students who were selected using saturated sampling technique. The data analysis technique used simple linear regressionwith prerequisite test namely normality of Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, heteroscedasticity of Glejser method, linearity using test for linearity, multicolonity using Variance Inflation Factor (VIF), and autocorrelation of Durbin-Watson method. The result shows that there is an effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe academic year 2018/2019 Landak Regency. The result of R square = 0,915 x 100% = 19,5% which indicates that the mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe can be explained by learning motivation of 19,5%.</em>

The purposes of this research were (1) descriptively that to find out considers discipline of students, learning motivation, and  learning method (2) correlationally which was to know relationship among discipline of students, learning motivation, and learning method with students mathematic achievement to eight grade student’s of Junior High School in Piyungan district on 2013/2014 academic year. This research is ex post facto. The population of this research was all students of class VIII in Piyungan district on 2013/2014 academic year with sample size was 112 students. The sampling technique use was cluster random sampling. The techniques of collecting data use questionnaire and test. The techniques of analyzing data applied were regression and correlation analysis. Before that, the testing of precondition analysis used which normality, linearity, multicolinierity analyses. The result of research shows descriptively it considers discipline of students in very high category, considers learning motivation in high category, considers learning method in high category, considers students mathematic achievement in high category. While correlatively that there were positive relationship and significant among discipline of students, learning motivation, learning method with students mathematic achievement with grouply or separately

This study aims to: (1) To know the quality of parenting pattern of the sixth grade students of SD Gugus VIII Sukawati 2017/2018 (2) To know the quality of the discipline of the students of grade VI SD Gugus VIII Sukawati 2017/2018 (3) To know whether there is correlation parenting with the discipline of learning grade 6 students SD Gugus VIII Sukawati 2017/2018. This research is an ex-post facto research. The population of this research is the students of class VI in SD Gugus VIII Sukawati which amounted to 168 students. The sample of research was taken by proportional random sampling technique which amounted to 113 students. Data on parenting and student learning discipline was taken by questionnaire technique. The data obtained were analyzed by qualitative descriptive technique, while to test the research hypothesis used the moment product correlation. Based on the results can be showed that (1) The quality of parenting of the students of SD Gugus VIII Sukawati in the 2017/2018 academic year was quite good, because the average parenting scores were 62.82 and within the range of 59.25 ≤  <65,75 . (2) The quality of student discipline of SD Gugus VIII Sukawati in the 2017/2018 academic year is quite good, because the average learning discipline is 68.28 and is in the range of 63.96 ≤  <70.54. And (3) There is correlation between parenting pattern of student with discipline of studying grade 6 student of SD Negeri Gugus VIII Sukawati academic year 2017/2018. This is evidenced by the correlation coefficient of parenting parents with the discipline of learning results obtained research (rxy) of 0.987 while rxv table (005; N-2) obtained for 0.195. Since the price (rxy) results are in the range of 0.800 to 1.00 then the correlation is high.

This study was undertaken in order to assess the acquisition of information questions by the eleventh grade students of SMK Saraswati Denpasar in academic year 2009/2010. The undertaking of the study was motivated by the fact that information questions are the fundamental basis of good communication skills in English. This study was intended to answer the research question: To what extent is the acquisition of the eleventh grade students of SMK Saraswati Denpasar in constructing information question in English. This study made use of an ex-post facto research design. The population of the study was the eleventh grade students of accountancy department which consists of two classes with the total students of 79 altogether. They were considered to have homogeneous characteristic. In this study, only 40 students were determined as the objects by using quota random sampling technique with lottery system. The data obtained in the study which were in the form of raw scores showing the subjects’ acquisition of information questions of the eleventh grade students of SMK Saraswati Denpasar, were analyzed with norm reference measure with five standard values. It clearly showed that: (1) there are 5 subjects (12.5%) out of 40 subjects under study who got excellent ability in asking information questions in English, (2) there are 11 subjects (27.5%) out of 40 subjects under study who got good ability in asking information questions in English. (3) there are 13 subjects (32.5%) out of 40 subjects under study who got sufficient ability in asking information questions in English and (4) there are 11 subjects (27.5%) out of 40 subjects under study who got insufficient ability in asking information questions in English. In general these research findings revealed that the acquisition of information questions by the eleventh grade students of SMK Saraswati Denpasar is remarked as good, where the number of subjects who got insufficient acquisition in information questions were under 50% or half of the number of subjects understudy. The number of students who got insufficient acquisition in information questions is only 11 subjects or 27.5% out of 40 subjects understudy. The findings of the study have limited validity and reliability, because it made use of an ex-post facto research design. Therefore, the research findings should be carefully depended upon.

This study aims to determine: 1). Knowing how the level of parental attention to the learning outcomes of students in the Social Studies class of SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. 2) Knowing whether there is a significant relationship between parental attention and geography learning outcomes of class X IPS SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. This research is an ex post facto research with a correlational approach. The independent variable in this study is the attention of parents while the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The sampling technique used was random sampling, the number of samples was 52. The data collection was obtained using a questionnaire containing questions about students' attention to learning and learning outcomes, namely the first semester scores with school documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and product moment correlation analysis. The results shssowed that the level of people's attention was categorized as moderate, namely 78 with a percentage of 65%, while the results of learning geography for class X IPS students at SMA Negeri 3 Makassar were categorized as moderate, namely 80 with a percentage of 80%. The results of the product moment correlation analysis obtained  = 0.567 and = 0.230 with an error rate of 5% (0.05). It can be concluded that parental attention has a significant effect on student outcomes in geography learning.

This research aimed for 1) analyzing the factors which contributed the ability to solve mathematical problems and (2) identifying the domination of the aforementioned factors. This research was conducted to grade 8 in all state junior high schools in the city of Singaraja, academic year of 2017/2018 with 377 participating students which were taken with stratified cluster random sampling technique. This research method was an quantitative ex-post facto research. The data of this research were taken using story math problem about SPLDV, Pythagoras, Lingkaran and were analyzed with factor analysis. The research has found that the factors which contributed the ability to solve mathematical problem are identify problem (identify), define goal (define), explore possible strategies (explore), act on strategies (act) and look back (look). These five factors could be categorized into two components, namely: analytical ability component which consists of identify problem and define goal , and systematical ability component which consists of explore possible strategies, act on strategies and look back. Furthermore, it was also found that the factors which dominated the ability to solve mathematical problem was executing the act on strategies and followed by explore possible strategies, identify problem, define goal, and look back.

This study aims to determine the correlation between self-concept with the ability to solve the problem of Social Science students of grade V elementary school Gugus Untung Surapati, East Denpasar District, academic year 2017/2018. This type of research is ex post facto, correlational research. The population of this study is a class V student in Gugus Untung Surapati, East Denpasar academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 525 students. Determination of the sample using proportional random sampling technique with 5% error rate that obtained many samples from the population is 213 students. The data obtained through self-concept questionnaire and essay test of Social Science problem solving ability done by the respondents. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation analysis. As a prerequisite test is the normality test of data distribution. Based on the analysis result obtained rcount = 0,446. At the significance level of 5% with n = 213, then obtained rtable = 0,138. Because rcount = 0.446 > rtable = 0.138 it can be interpreted that H0 rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between self-concept with the ability to solve the problem of Social Science Class V SD Gugus Untung Surapati, with a positive correlation direction, meaning that the higher self-concept owned by students will further improve students problem solving skills of Social Science

This study is focused on assessing the   ability of the first semester students of English Department,  Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Mahasaraswati Denpasar University   in academic year 2009/2010 in mastering English grammar. This study was intended to answer the Research Question: ‘To what extent is the acquisition of English grammar mastery of the first semester students of English Department, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Mahasaraswati Denpasar University  in academic year 2009/2010?. The data required were collected by administering the valid and reliable research instrument in form of multiple choice test. Then,  the data were analyzed by using Norm Reference Measures of five standard values. The population  of the study is the first semester students of English Department in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Mahasaraswati Denpasar University  which consists of 120 students. They are considered to have heterogeneous characteristics. There were 30 students determined as the sample of the study   using quota random sampling technique. The result of the data analysis   showed that (1)  13.33% out of the whole subjects under study showed excellent ability in mastering grammar, (2)   6.66%   showed good ability, (3) 53.33%  showed sufficient ability,  (4) 23.33% showed insufficient ability , (5) 3.33% showed poor ability in mastering grammar. If the result of the study were used as the bases to assign level to the subjects under study, then  26.66% fail in learning and acquiring English grammar. It means that 26.66% of them still have low ability. The finding of the present study was trusted to have rather limited degree of validity and reliability because it was conducted using an ex post facto research design and it has some inherent independent variables which contaminate the validity and reliability of the findings. The findings of the study can be used as the bases in planning  better language teaching especially in mastering grammar.

Reading is one of the basic English skills which should be mastered by the students. This study was intended to explore the use of SQ3R technique to improve students` reading comprehension and to find out the students` perception toward the use of SQ3R technique. The method in this study is mixed method with Quan-qual model. The quantitative method used quasi-experimental design with control and experimental group. The population in this research used purposive sampling technique with the number of sample are 24 students as respondent; 12 students in control group and 12 students in experimental group. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Saluputti from the eighth grade students in academic year 2016/2017. The instrument that the writer used are reading test and questionnaire and the data were analyzed through SPSS 20. The research findings shows that the implementation of SQ3R technique could improve the students’ reading comprehension ability especially the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Saluputti and the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Saluputti have good perception towards the use of SQ3R technique. This research shows the improvement in students` reading comprehension, for that reason, it is recommended that the English teacher apply certain effective technique in teaching reading to enhance student`s comprehension.

The study aimed to determine the effect of discovery learning models on learning outcomes of grade-VII students of SMPN 5 Nangapanda in the academic year 2019/2020. The type of research was survey research with a quantitative approach that used ex-post facto research designs. The population in this study was students of grade-VII of SMPN 5 Nangapanda, and the sample was 27 students obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data obtained from the study sample in the form of daily test scores on science subjects. The data analysis technique was performed by a one-sample t-test. The results showed the discovery learning model affects the learning outcomes of science students in grade-VII of SMP 5 Nangapanda in the academic year 2019/2020. This finding was indicated by the results of data analysis for science learning outcomes with the sig level. 0.05 and 95% confidence level, so that the sig obtained. 0.115> 0.05.
