The aim is to study the level and dynamics of instructor officers’ somatic health during the course of employment at Ukrainian higher education institutions with special training conditions Materials and methods: The study involved male instructor officers of the National Academy of Internal Affairs (Kyiv, Ukraine) of different age groups (n=103), who conduct training sessions with cadets – future police officers. The first age group (up to 25 years of age) comprised 8 instructors, the second one (26-30 years of age) – 11 instructors, the third one (31-35 years of age) – 14 instructors, the fourth one (36-40 years of age) – 16 instructors, the fifth one (41-45 years of age) – 19 instructors, the sixth one(46-50 years of age) – 17 instructors, and the seventh one (over 50 years of age) – 18 instructors. The study was conducted in 2017-2019. The level of instructor officers’ health was examined according to the methodology of G. L. Apanasenko, which provides for the calculation of body mass, vital, strength, and Robinson indices, as well as the duration of recovery of heart rate after standard exercise. The research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of literature sources, pedagogical testing and observation, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: Insufficient level of health was revealed among instructor officers of all age groups – the level of somatic health of the vast majority of instructional staff (over 75 %) is assessed as “low” and “below average”, more than 95 % of instructors are below the “safe zone” according to the methodology of G. L. Apanasenko. Conclusions: The research shows that the current system of physical training of higher education institutions with special training conditions is ineffective and needs to be refined in order to strengthen the health of instructor officers, increase their efficiency and, in general, improve the effectiveness of training future police officers at higher education institutions.

The activities of law enforcement officers are characterized by significant psycho-emotional and physical stress. Therefore, a high level of psychophysiological characteristics is an important component in the structure of preparedness of cadets in higher education institutions with specific training conditions that train police officers. Experts note that the indicators of sensorimotor reactions are one of the most accessible and, at the same time, quite accurate neurophysiological indicators that reflect the dynamics of nervous processes, motor coordination, overall performance and activity of the central nervous system in various fields. Research aimed at the finding of the effective ways to improve them is relevant. We conducted a study of psychophysiological characteristics in 2 groups of cadets during the first academic year. The first group of cadets trained in the course of the discipline "Special Physical Training". The cadets of the second group were engaged in "Special physical training", and also during the academic year trained in sections of game sports (football and volleyball). The results show that the traditional curriculum of the discipline "Special Physical Training" in higher education institutions with specific training conditions that train police officers is not effective enough to improve the performance of sensorimotor reactions of cadets. In the group of cadets, who did not train in sports sections, we did not find a significant improvement of the psychophysiological characteristics. The results indicate the feasibility of using sectional classes of game sports (football, volleyball) as a means of improving the efficiency of the process of training.

The ability to maintain high speed and accuracy of sensorimotor reactions for a long time under the influence of various interfering factors is an important component in the training structure of future law enforcement officers. Improving of the sensorimotor reactions of higher education students in institutions that train police officers takes place in the process of the discipline "Special Physical Training". Methods of general physical training (sports games, competitive methods), as well as, methods of simulating service situations (attempt of the offender to get the weapon, group interaction of police, protection from the threat of weapons, protection from blows with hands and feet) are used to achieve this purpose. We conducted a study of the complex reaction of choice of cadets in the normal conditions and under the influence of interfering factors. The results show that male cadets and some women as a result of two years training significantly improve the resistance of sensorimotor responses to interfering factors (the speed of a complex reaction of choice without interference, with interference, the total number of errors). The results show that the traditional curriculum of the discipline "Special Physical Training" in higher education institutions with specific training conditions, which provide training of police officers, effectively helps to improve the stability of sensorimotor responses of cadets. Improving the efficiency of the training process in the direction of increasing the stability of sensorimotor responses of female cadets requires special attention.

The article is devoted to the analysis of administrative and legal regulation of practical training of applicants for higher education in higher education institutions with specific training conditions that train police officers. Today, practical training is an integral part of the educational process, which allows to ensure the acquisition of competencies and program learning outcomes provided by educational and professional programs. Based on the analysis of the Regulations on practical training of students and cadets of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the authors have identified problematic issues of organization and conduct of various types of practical training. It is concluded that the existing mechanism of practical training of this category of persons and its normative expression needs to be improved, as it does not meet the needs of today, contains provisions that contradict other regulations, outdated terminology, does not take into account the organization of the educational process at the present stage of development. departmental education, etc. In addition, the draft Regulation on the practical training of applicants for higher education in higher education institutions with specific training conditions for the training of specialists for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine is being studied and is currently being discussed. The authors conclude that its provisions are unconditionally progressive, but make specific proposals to improve the proposed organizational and legal framework. In particular, it is proposed to specify the purpose of practical training, the mechanism of its organization for applicants for higher education by correspondence, persons studying under the program “2 years cadet - 1 year student», the order and grounds for involvement in public safety and order, clear determined their status, given the lack of specification of the rights and responsibilities of this category of persons in such activities.

The results of theoretical analysis of modern directions, approaches and methods of stress management have been presented. It has been determined that the classification of methods of stress management depends on the type of psychotherapy, the direction of work with stress, time parameters of interaction with stress factors, the method of influencing the functional state, the method of anti-stress influence, etc. Based on the analysis of various scientific approaches, the methods of developing the ability to handle stress from law enforcers who study in higher education institutions with specific learning conditions are systematized and divided into three branches: prevention, neutralization and correction of stress, and recovery of organism resources. A series of trainings aimed on the formation and development of stress resistance and resource conservation among police officers at the stage of professional training were presented. For the first year cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs a training program “Adaptation” was developed, the purpose of which is to develop skills and abilities of self-organization of the person that are essential for studying in higher education institutions with specific learning conditions; development of responsibility, social courage, high standards of behavior and motivation of achievement; development of active and prosocial models of behavior. For the second year cadets, a training program “Stress and Lifestyle” was developed, the purpose of which is the formation of rules of psycho-hygiene and mastering the methods of self-regulation of stress. For the third year cadets there is a training “Professional stress”, which task is to develop responsibility for personal development and promote self-realization and the formation of a cadet as a self-sufficient creative person. Also for the third year cadets we offer personal growth training “Life design of the person”, the purpose of which is to form the need for an active life position, willingness for self-development, self-improvement and increase of responsibility for one’s own life. On the basis of the research, conclusions were made on the expediency of the integrated implementation of the training system as a mean of forming and developing stress resistance and enhancing the existing personal resources of police officers at various stages of professional training.

The need to train highly qualified translators necessitates the need to train professional translation teachers in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The purpose of our work is to analyze the situation in the field of training translation teachers in higher education institutions of Ukraine and other countries, analyze the ways and methods of training translation teachers today and develop proposals for possible formats for training these specialists. In order to determine the requirements for translation teachers and determine the conceptual and categorical apparatus of our research we used a number of methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization of scientific and educational sources (Ukrainian and foreign ones), as well as observation, questionnaires and surveys to identify problems in the professional growth of translation teachers. It was revealed that today there is a situation when translation is taught either by the translators who do not have pedagogical education, or by the teachers of foreign languages who do not have translator’s diplomas and often do not have practical translation experience. Both categories require additional training that complements their education. The current system of short-term advanced training courses does not fully meet the task of filling gaps in the professional education of translation teachers. The author suggests the development and implementation of programs for retraining and training translation teachers that can be provided for different content depending on the previous experience of translation teachers. In both types of programs, the pedagogical and translation components of education will complement each other, so that graduates will be able to form the educational competencies necessary for a qualified translation teacher in higher education institutions. Special attention should be paid to translation didactics which has not yet been taught either in educational program for training translators, or in programs for training and advanced training of teachers. The prospects for further scientific research in this direction consist in designing and developing with taking into account modern achievements in science and practice of translating the content of the program and implementing it in higher education institutions that need such programs.Key words: translation teachers, educational program, translation, retraining program, advanced training, higher education institutions.

This study is aimed at the analysis and development of methodologies to ensure and manage the quality of higher education. There have been radical changes and transformation of the postindustrial society into a global information society on the basis of knowledge and competence, and the increased external demands from society to the result of higher education have significantly influenced the development of higher education at the end of the 20th century. Accordingly, the roles, organizational forms and ways of functioning of higher education institutions (HEIs) have changed as one of the basic elements of the higher education system, ensuring the development of economic, social, cultural and global, national and regional communities as a whole. The current system of education is characterized by the virtual absence of institutions responsible for the results of their activities. Not sufficiently independent forms and mechanisms of participation of citizens, employers, professional associations on the development of educational policy have not been developed. There are no structures for an independent assessment of the quality of education. As a result of adaptation to the global information society, the classical model of the HEI was transformed, which manifested itself in the formation of a new type of HEI. The vector of transformation of the models of HEI were not only accompanied by diverse organizational change and revisions of the missions of universities, but also by the formation of strategic management as a factor in-system with the release of its organizational and functional entity. In the article, as a form of presentation of scientific methodologies of social processes and objects, a triad hierarchical model is proposed, represented in the form of a hierarchical system containing levels: system, structure, inter-system exchange, movement and applied fields of knowledge. Thus, the essence of the approach is to develop a triadic concept and its application to describe the structures of social objects and processes and construct different classes of models to study their properties and improve management processes, taking into account the human factor. In the future, the proposed methodology can provide the most appropriate solution to ensure a comprehensive and high-quality higher education.

The article deals with problematic issues of the attitude of student youth to health-forming components during their studies in higher education institutions. Also the estimation of reasons of occurrence of the inadequate relation to components which have direct influence on a health condition and their consequences was carried out. This assessment of the system of physical education since the independence of Ukraine, which was in a deep state of crisis and could not meet the needs of young people in motor activity and physical fitness. This has dealt an irreparable blow to the motivational-value attitude to the health-forming of the constituents and to the health of students. Thanks to pedagogical observation, pedagogical testing, extrapolations and the results of mathematical statistics, the majority of students of the higher education institutions have systematically missed physical education classes because of the lack of interest and desire for traditional physical education classes, laziness, unsatisfactory conditions of classes, lack of sports sections that interest students, which proves the insufficient level of motivation and value attitude of students to physical education classes. The assessment of students physical development and functional condition showed that their body weight, HR have a tendency to worsen. The level of physical fitness indicates that students have a low and lower average level of physical education in the I and II courses. So, the current system of physical education does not provide enough effective development and improvement of physical qualities of students, indicates the need to improve it in order to improve health, improve mental and physical performance, the formation of motivation for systematic exercise and a positive attitude to health-forming components through the introduction of physical education classes with sports orientation, taking into account the free choice of students.
